Clerks

TOS - Hit and miss. Thing is, the best of the TOS episodes (City on the Edge of Forever, for example) are better than anything from any of the other series. It had moments of pure brilliance among moments of... meh.

TNG - My favorite series. Past the first season (I disliked Tasha, and Troi was just irritating in the first season), it was consistently good. Some episodes better than others, of course ("The Inner Light" being my personal favorite), but TNG had overall the best cast and it was just plain... good.

DS9 - Started out weak... I really didn't care for the show at first, but it improved upon itself each season, and as we've discussed before, the Dominion War is the best thing ever to come out of the Trek universe. The Founders were fascinating, the Vorta were fascinating and the Jem'Hadar were... fascinating. I can't think of a better word to describe it. It was compelling, often disturbing, and always amazing.

Voyager - Not a fan overall, but I enjoyed getting more information about the Borg, which was always my favorite Trek race, other than the Founders. I just couldn't bring myself to like the cast very much, quite frankly. Janeway was about as charismatic a captain as I'd imagine Ben Stein would be, and I always found Chakotay to be a sanctimonious prick.

Enterprise - People judge it a bit harshly. Yeah, it wasn't fantastic, but it had its moments. I thought whats-his-ass, the Captain (I can never think of his name because I could never distinguish him from his character on Quantum Leap) was passable and I enjoyed all the backstory.

Damn you Dexter and X. Changing yet semi-keeping relavent to Kevin Smith. Make your own Trek thread dammit lol.

The sheer humour of Zack And Miri makes me want to buy it on DVD and never get bored of it...Dutch Rudder was one the utmost funniest things i've ever heard.

It goes for me:

Mallrats
Clerks
Zack & Miri Make a Porno
Dogma
Chasing Amy
Clerks II
Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
Jersey Girl

Yes, I love Mallrats the most. I grew up on that movie. Fuck you, don't mock me.

for me:

Clerks
Clerks 2
Chasing Amy
Dogma
Mallrats
Zack & Miri
Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
Jersey Girl

I can't decide if I find the films funny, or completely terrible. I remember thinking Dogma was sublime when I was 15.

Funny Story, I just dropped off my tux at Mens Warehouse, and the first thing out my mouth once I stepped into the mall was: "I love the smell of commerce in the morning!"

Clerks
Dogma
Mallrats
Chasing Amy pt. 1
Clerks 2
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Chasing Amy pt. 2

And I don't consider Jersey Girl or Zach and Miri as part of the collection.

Oh, and in case people are wondering, you can separate the movie Chasing Amy into two parts. Part 1 is before Ben Affleck gets the girl, and part 2 is after he gets the girl. Part 1 is great...part 2 sucks ass.

Clerks
Zack & Miri Make a Porno
Dogma
Chasing Amy
Clerks II
Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
Jersey Girl

Mock you? I revere anyone who loves Mallrats. Damn fine movie.

Nothing he does is ever going to top the exchange in Clerks about the contractors aboard the second Death Star. The contractor interrupting the discussion to point out how they consider the political beliefs of their clients before accepting a job was just brilliant.
I'm a big fan of "37, my girlfriend's sucked 37 dicks."...."In a row?"...that whole exchange.

There are so many classic lines in Clerks though. You really can't go wrong.

Try not to suck any dick on your way through the parking lot!

Ooohhh, Navy SEALS!

Also good. "Salsa shark, salsa shark. Sharks in the salsa! Man goes into cage, cage goes into salsa. Sharks in the salsa. OUR shark."

I'm a sucker for a Jaws reference.

The Good Will Hunting 2 scene in Jay and Bob Strike Back is one of the greatest scenes of all time, and definitely the very best scene in any Kevin Smith movie, ever.

Also, it should be noted that Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was actually the very first Kevin Smith movie I ever saw. I might have seen Clerks before that maybe, but I don't remember. All I know is that immediately after seeing Jay and Bob, I sought out to get everything else Smith had ever done, which is why I love that movie so much. It was my introduction to the View Askew Universe.

In the interest of fairness, I think it ought to be said that ANY scene with Matt Damon in it is one of the greatest scenes of all time.

Damon is extraordinary.

And we're all suckers for Jaws references Dexter. Jaws is God.

I haven't seen Clerks or Chasing Amy in forever so I can't really remember them well so I won't count them on my list.

Dogma
Zack and Miri
Clerks 2
Mallrats

I love the Kevin Smith movies. The interaction between the characters, the humour, everything.

I also love the 3 Evening with Kevin Smith movies. I think there were 3 or 4 of them where he goes to colleges in the states and they ask him questions. He told some great stories and interesting shit. Has anyone else seen/liked these?

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That is awesome.

This is my pick:

Mallrats (I never saw the sailboat)
Clerks
Clerks 2
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Chasing Amy

and at the back, tied up in rusty shackles and asbestos is Jersey Girl.
