Christian To Induct Sting

Christian is scheduled to make another appearance in TNA Wrestling later this year at Bound for Glory to induct Sting into the TNA Hall of Fame.

The appearance is part of WWE’s agreement with TNA to allow Ric Flair to appear at WWE’s Hall of Fame earlier this year.

We’ll have more shortly.
I'll be damned. A lawsuit. Banning TNA from a convention. These two have done a lot of shit flinging at each other this year. They still find the time to work out a partnership of sorts? I don't really buy the report, but if it is true then I'm glad there's still class in pro wrestling. Though when it comes down to it, Christian is kind of an odd choice. Wouldn't a close personal friend be more fitting?

Anything that gets Christian on TNA TV is a great thing, IMO, but I do think it's a shame how the whole Flair thing went down because TNA truly had the best idea behind having him be the one to induct Sting into the HOF based on the two mens' rich, rich history.

With Christian, you can at least use his name to try and pick up a few extra buys, as I'm not really sure who else you could use other than Hogan to induct him.

Exactly what I first thought of when I read the headline.

I'm very interested in finding out if this was Sting or TNA's choice. If it was TNA's, then I guess they just wanted a reason to be able to bring Christian back for another night. Or maybe he and Sting became close while working together in TNA and Sting chose him because of that. I'm sure we'll find out in Christian's induction speech, but I sure am curious. I thought their stuff together was good, but I never sensed any amazing chemistry between the two.

Regardless, Sting is my favorite wrestler of all time and I'm a big fan of Christian so of course overall I don't mind it and am very much looking forward to the induction.

And while this is the TNA Section and I don't want to go off topic, I just want to say that it's starting to make sense to me why Christian is being treated like crap on WWE TV since his return. WWE knew TNA would want Christian for a couple of appearances and for that he's being treated poorly for it. Typical WWE horseshit.

If I was too pick a person to induct sting into a Hall of fame, christian wouldnt be my first thought... Though i dont know alot of their history in TNA. Seeing as it is a TNA hall of fame though rather than a universal one, i guess it makes sense! I doubt christian minds so much so long as vince isnt hating on him for it!

For a universal; someone like Flair or Mick Foley would work, even hogan, though he's not a big deal since we see them every week hangin and stuff!

I don't see what Christian has to do with Sting in any way except that they wrestled in the same company for a little while.

Christian was the one who teamed with Sting in his 2006 debut in TNA. They had a close on-screen friendship, especially when Sting wanted to "retire" and when he came back a few months later. Eventually Christian turned on Sting, so yes they do have a history when Sting first signed with TNA

This is the only thing I can think of, he was his partner at Final Resolution in 2006

I know that Christian and Sting had history in TNA, but it seems like there would be so many better choices. It's great that they can get Christian on there show, but I even think Hogan would be a better choice as far as history with Sting goes. I am happy to see Christian appear on TNA, but seems an odd choice to me.
