Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms were arrested on Wednesday morning at 5in Kenton County, Kentucky.

The two were charged with public alcohol intoxication and spent over an hour at the Erlanger Police Department.

Jericho and Helms had been in nearby Cincinnati, Ohio the previous night for this week's SmackDown taping.

Jericho has been posting messages on Twitter all day with no mention of the incident.

Lee, you have to be sober for 12 hours before the show. not several hours after. Does anybody actually care about this? I'm pretty sure that every wrestler's got stories where they end up in trouble while drunk. For example 'Taker punched out a guy while drunk when he was still with WCW.

Ask the Canadians. Whenever one of its citizens does anything remotely controversial, they tend to think of "country" first.

I personally couldn't care less, but they are so worried about their damn image it's pathetic.

Wasn't there a football player who got arrested at his own charity golf tournament for "public intoxication"? Besides, The PWInsider report said that the arrest could have been made on something as innocent as the officer smelling alcohol on their breath.

I just hope that Jericho called the arresting officer a "gelatinous tapeworm".

Also, Helms is a bad influence and needs to stick to his weird friends in the Hardys and Shannon Moore. Each time Helms is out with someone, they get arrested. Look at what happened to Daniels.

TMZ reports Gregory Helms struck Chris Jericho, two other passengers prior to public intoxication arrest

TMZ is reporting that the cab ride with Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms became violent when Helms struck Jericho, another male passenger, and a female passenger at a Shell station early Wednesday morning around 4:00 a.m.

Helms reportedly left the scene after the incident, which led to police being called to the Shell station. Helms then returned to the gas station and was booked with Jericho on charges of public intoxication.

TMZ also reports that Helms was not charged with anything related to the alleged attack because the other passengers did not press charges against Helms.

Jericho and Helms were reportedly at KJ's Pub located in Fort Mitchell, Ky. on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning after the Smackdown/ECW TV taping in Cincinnati. They were arrested about one mile away from the bar at the Shell station on charges of public intoxication.
