Chavo Guerrero in Rumble = E.C.W. gets NO respect?

I never said WWE doesn't care about ECW, jsut that the show is considered by far and away the minor league of wwe. The stuff you say is true and i don't argure with it, except for maybe the Chavo over punk one. Definately Chavo beating Punk clean was a big step up for him, but after losing i think 3 tiems in a row and then needing Edge to help him get the shot in the first place made him look weak to me. ECW definately makes money for the company so of course wwe is glad to have it, but it seems like they hardly ever put anything into it.

the reason that they dont put anything into it is because the wwe doesnt have enough space for more titles. if i was the wwe i would just almagramate the tag titles and bring in the tv title as a mid card title in ecw, so that the one tag title will have more meaning as the wwe is really getting overcrowded title wise IMO

but i do agree that ecw is getting the raw end of the stick because it has midcard talent as top tier and lower card as midcard so the wwe doesnt believe it has what it takes in regards to star power which is absolute rubbish IMO

That's very true about the titles. I agree about unifying the tag titles as it would allow for there to be an actual tag division. The mid card title should be unified as well, with the champion going back and forth between shows. THis should be the case will all the titles, like it was at the beginning of the brand split. Then you could also have a cruiserweight and women's title exclusve to smackdown and raw respectively. WWE needs to get rid of a lot of their titles and then potentially get rid of some of the talent they have. A lot of it is just taking up space right now.

klunderbunker is totally right, and its what I have been saying too.
first off, Chavo should not be ECW champion. secondly, contrary to a few opinions in this thread, imo, he should not have been in the Rumble match. he shouldve had a decent match with CM Punk or someone. you don't see the WHC or WWE champ in the rumble. Why? Its because they are classed as much higher belts than the ECW title. If having the chance to become duel champ with a Rumble win was true, not only Chavo would be in the Rumble, so would the WHC and WWE champ be in that match up too, but that isnt true.
Putting the ECW champ in the rumble only hurt the credibility of ECW even more. I dont know what WWE are playing at, but they need to sort all this out man. I know there are many titles around, but you cant really say that 'they should unify the titles to get rid of excess ones, to bring back the credibility of the ECW title'. the ECW title is a world heavyweight title, so no matter what you do with the other belts, the ECW title should still be at the top just like the other two belts.
but granted, ECW has minor talent apart from a few, so really ECW and Smackdown should just be unified.

I have to agree that Chavo shouldn't have been in the Royal Rumble. It was insulting to the ECW brand. It got even worse at No Way Out when they put the ECW Championship match first.

The only good match they are doing for the ECW title is the tri-brand battle royal. Maybe they Could get an actual world champion instead of a cruiser weight chump like Chavo. Maybe When they do that they could expand the brand make it a two hour show and bring back the ECW television championship and ECW tag championship (after miz and morrison lose the wwe tag)

Chavo being in the rumble was not disrespectful to the royal rumble, I mean come on, everybody knows ECW is the C brand, and the ECW title is irrelevent unless your on ECW. Until a legit star wins the title, when RVD had it, it was okay, Big Show and Lashley, still respectable, CM Punk meh, then once Chavo won it, the ECW title was deemed utterly worthless. I watch ECW, but still know that the ECW title is no big deal, they should be happy it is even being defended at Mania'.

Plain and simple, if you ask any wrestler what title they would like to have, if they could have any and they answered honestley it would be the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship, not the ECW Title.
