Chavo, Chavo, Chavo!

Undertaker for Champ!
Chavo Guerrero has been a professional wrestler since 1994. He made his debut on WCW. While on WCW, he would carry about a hobby-horse, which he called ''Pepe''. Shortly after losing ''Pepe'', he would join the stable known as ''Misfits in Action'' or M.I.A. for short. His name, while a member of M.I.A. was ''Lieutenant Loco''. This group didn't last too long, due to WCW running out of business. While in WCW, Chavo won the WCW Cruiserweight Championship twice and was a former WCW World Tag Team Champion.

Months later, he would make his debut in WWE. After being stuck in the lower mid-card for a while, he would form a tag team with his uncle Eddie Guerrero, known as ''Los Guerreros''. They would go on to win the WWE Tag Team Championships two times, before Chavo became jealous of Eddie's popularity and turned his back on him. He would have a shot fued with his uncle, having his father, Chavo Classic accompanying him to the ring several months afterwards. He would win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on 4 separate occasions.

In the 2005 Supplemental Draft, Chavo Guerrero was drafted to the Raw brand. Chavo would quickly denounce his Mexican heritage and the whole Guerrero name. He dyed his hair blond, and acted as an Anglo-American, changing his name to Kerwin White in the process. The only memorable thing I remember Kerwin White doing was bad-mouth African Americans, namely Shelton Benjamin and losing to him twice.

On November 13, 2005, Chavo discovered his uncle Eddie on the ground... pronounced dead. Kerwin White was quickly changed back to his real name, Chavo Guerrero. He would dedicate every single one of his matches from that day on, to his uncle. That is until, he lost an ''Intercontinental Championship'' match against then-champion, Shelton Benjamin. He would then proceed to quit.

Since then, Guerrero has moved to Smackdown, has feuded with Rey Mysterio, fueded with then-United States Champion Chris Benoit, win the Cruiserweight Championship, lose it, re-fued with Mysterio, get suspended for failing his Wellness Test, attack then-ECW Champion C.M. Punk, win the ECW Championship, lose it in eight seconds, hire a bodyguard, enter himself into the Undertaker/Edge fued, enter himself into the Undertaker/Big Show fued and now has been drafted back to Raw.

Now, it is no secret that Chavo is being treated like a fool right now. We all know about Chavo's abilities and athleticism, but we haven't been seeing too much of that lately. When you see Chavo, he is either with Vickie, pushing Vickie's wheelchair, or getting his ass handed to him.

With that being said... what if Eddie was still alive? Would Chavo still be Kerwin White? If so, how far would that gimmick have gone? Would the gimmick completely fail and would he get released? Could he have won a championship as Kerwin White? Would we have had a Kerwin White/Eddie Guerrero fued? Would he still go back to being Chavo again? Please tell me and add detail... thanks!

If Eddie hadn't passed away I think they would've kept his Kerwin White gimmick along with his caddie Nic Nemeth and I honestly think he may have gone as far as winning the IC title. Quite possibly he may have had the chance to be a main eventer had his character got hot. The new gimmick/character change I think was the start of his push but when Eddie passed they had no choice but to drop the gimmick, understandibly so though. It's just a damn shame that since Eddie passed that they haven't tried to do anything with Chavo. The guy could be an upper mid carder and and IC or US champ but for whatever reason they aren't doing anything with him.

I agree, he would have stuck with the Kerwin White gimmick for a while. He either would have sank or swam to the main event.

I think one reason they never did much with him is because while Eddie's death was tragic, he died from a weakened heart, mostly weakened by drug use and maybe steroids. If Chavo got pushed really well, it would have been a constant reminder of the tragic death of his uncle, done in by drugs. And this was something Vince wanted to avoid.

Maybe with Vickie out of the picture, Chavo will get a push. That win that Chavo gained over Santino on ''Superstars'', was a start. I'm not sure if anyone would really classify a win over Santino as an achievement, but I'm just saying. Chavo hasn't really gotten a REAL push in the WWE, so maybe he is on the brink of one, with a United States Championship in the near future.

He definitely would've been Kerwin White for much longer, which, at the time, wouldn't have minded. It was one of my guilty pleasures at the time; it was as hilarious as it was stupid. Would he have gone far with it? Probably no better than Pirate Birchill or Simon Dean; some wins just to get him noticed, but then job to anyone and everyone. I highly doubt he would've won gold with that gimmick.

I also doubt he would've feuded with Eddie, since they were on different shows at the time and the WWE was much stricter about brand separation back then. Plus Eddie was on his way to a World title before he died and a fued with Cha-er-Kerwin would've been a big step down.

I doubt he would've had a chance to be Chavo again because he probably would've been released while being Kerwin. Eddie's death probably saved Chavo from being future endeavored because it allowed him to be himself again and, as mean as it sounds, he got by on momentum based off sympathy. Not nearly as well as Rey, but you know. They obviously gave him that gimmick because they had nothing better to do with him and once that gimmick ran it's course, I'm pretty sure they would've let him go.

*Phew* I think that answers all of your questions.
