Getting Noticed By Management
While I'm pretty doubtful that they're going to go with Orton/Cena for the title, I'm going to be the devil's advocate here and view this from a different perspective than others. Maybe Vince and Co. view this as the only match on Smackdown big enough to possibly main event Mania. The other realistic options are Orton/Styles and Orton/Wyatt, and while those might be better from a fan perspective, they don't scream "Mania main event" quite like Orton/Cena does. And we all know what Vince's go-to plan has been for the past 10 years when he starts to second-guess the talent's drawing power; it's always been Cena/Orton.
We may assume that Brock/Goldberg or Taker/Reigns or HHH/Rollins will be the main event, but I don't see a title match not closing Mania this year. It's only under extremely rare circumstances that a match not featuring a World title main events Wrestlemania (Taker/Shawn in Shawn's last match, Rock/Cena in "Once in a Lifetime", etc.) and at this point, they would be crazy to have Brock/Goldberg or Reigns/Taker go last if one is not for a World title. It's clear based on last night that Goldberg is more than just rusty in the ring, he looks like he's never stepped in a damn ring before. And to put Roman on last, even in a match involving Taker is just asking the crowd to shit on another main event. There have been rumors that Goldberg's going to win the Universal Title at Fastlane and if that happens, than we obviously have our Mania main event. If not, there are very few options.
Like I said, Wyatt/Orton isn't strong enough to anchor Mania and while an argument can be made for Orton/Styles, I'm not sure Vince would have enough confidence in the match to put it last. It's possible WWE thinks enough time has passed that fans would view this as a fresh match-up again. Again, I'm not saying it will happen. I'm actually pretty certain that it won't. But arguments can be made.
I don't think you watched RR ppv yesterday all fans were doing were cheering for Randy Orton everytime he did the "RKO". Even at the bar we were all cheering for Randy Orton maybe one or 2 were cheering for Jerkiko which he wouldn't fit with cena! wwe wants to rub mud into Flair's face by making Cena 17th champion but Ric Flair is 21 time champion if you count all of them he did. As for Goldberg-Lesner 3 at WM33 won't happen they scrapped it off . Orton is todays news and cena is yesterday's new everyone was jeering Reigns and when Orton and Wyatt tag teamed on him cheers filled up the arena and more cheers resulting to many KO's!
WM33 Card as of now reads this
Brock Lesner vs Braun Strowman
Reigns vs Owens vs Jerkiko UC
AJ Styles vs cena vs Orton WHC
Goldberg vs Underflaker
Big Slow vs Shaq
Bray Wyatt vs Luke Harper
Sheamus vs Cesaro
