For the record, bible quotes shouldn't be used to explain an arguement or poke holes in an arguement.

The book itself is largely metaphorical. If you want to explain or learn the stance of a Christian religion then look at it's catechism.

this is only true if you are talking about two things, the first being the scientists that measure whether cockroaches take a shit better after watching Star Wars Episode 1 or Star Wars Episode 2. The other is the scientists that created that LHC, whereas there is some more important aspects of physics that could be done like proving that warp speed is possible and trying to legitimately prove it.

Isn't the Episcopal Church pretty lax? I got that sense when I spoke with an episcopalian in my theology class last year.

I'm not hating on Catholicism church though. It gets so much more hate than it deserve. It is actually really tolerant.
