The Church is nothing but a foundation bent upon bending God's will to its own advancement. You can't seriously sit there and tell me the Church hasn't gone out of its way to protect ITSELF, not GOD I mean ITSELF.

I mean, you all are telling me that spending my entire life in a church, head bowed, saying "God, I love you.", completely ignorant (or apathetic) of the world around me would get me into Heaven over living my life, out there in the world God Created, trying to help and "save" as many people as I can (no matter their orientation)?

The problem that I have with that theory is that it goes completely against what is written in the Bible. Since I take the Bible to be true, the Word of God, then I don't believe that would happen.

so tell me, why would god the almighty have such a narrow minded apparoach to which of his children he welcomes into heaven?? or maybe the guys who wrote the bible snuck the part of having to do things THEIR way in there for status/financial purposes???

God is all powerful, he's all merciful, all you've said; right? Who's to say the people who wrote down his memoirs are? Hell, Judas wasn't. Why is it that they're word is unbiased? No matter how you want to get it, the Bible is man's creation, no matter how much "God" was entered into the Equation. You cannot over look the Human factor, and you cannot remove (or apply) what kind of people they were.

Dude , Jesus DIED so we could be forgiven of our sins. You cant deny that. It's a pretty well known fact that the only way you go to Heaven is by having Jesus Christ as your savior. It would be nice if all good people got into Heaven but if they wasnt saved they got sent below.

The two biggest celebrations of the Christian faith are both centered around Pagan traditions; Christmas and Easter. They represent the birth and resurrection of Christ, and yet both are traditions/celebrations which are little more than assimilations of various pagan festivities. So, why then, is the entire Christian faith based around that which it preaches against?
