Carlito Asks For Release?

I hate Carlito and cant wait till he leaves. The way he talks pisses me off, the way he looks pisses me off and the way he wrestles pisses me off. In all the time ive seen him hes never really shown any talent.
All he seems to do are punches and a brawler which I dont mind but to use that style youve got to be stiff imo and Carlito isnt.

I agree with Justin and AJ that a move for Carlito would be good. I can actually see Carlito doing what Booker did. Going over to SD! and main eventing. Looking at the SD! roster I think he could main event over there, and if not that, certainly be the US Champ again. Freshen up his gimmick a little bit and there ya go. The guy has massivly improved since coming to WWE and he CAN wrestle rather well. I, like AJ said think he would do very well on SD!, but if he does get released TNA will pick him up for sure

Well I think if Carlito is granted his release it wont be a huge loss, but i like carlito and think he has some potential. I dont understand y the WWE wont just send him to ECW. He could really benefit from it like Morrison(Nitro) did. They should send him to ECW and do a gimmick switch just like Morrison. Carlito could really help freshen up ECW. But again it wont be that big of a loss and I can see Carlito debueting at the next TNA PPV anyway.

In order to be granted a release you have to ask for one and Carlito has not asked for a release. He is not happy, but that is his own fault. From what I have heard his main problem is he is no longer taking his career serioulsy and has lost the passion for the business he first had, and it has been this way for the last 6 to 8 months.

At first, Carlito was the main reason I wanted to watch RAW. 'Carlito's Cabana' was a must-see segment. But then, it just predictable. Make smart-ass comments, invite guest out, spit apple, get ass kicked.

His matches have not been very good lately either. That is, the ones we actually et to see. C'mon, he lost a dark match to Snitsky in less than 60 seconds? I bet he's gone by the end of the year...

Well, I'd say I have to blame Carlito. I mean, when he turned face he bitched and moaned that he'd rather be a heel. Okay, so now he's a heel and still bitching.

I know we've heard a lot about backstage politics and the sort holding people back. However, Carlito has never really done anything to ignite the fans. Yes, he is good on the mic, and he is a halfway decent wrestler.

On the other hand, it seems that over the last few months, he has simply been used to put people over.

Sorry to get a little off topic, but it is relevant. A few weeks ago, there was a screw up at my job and I didn't get paid. They ironed it out, but I was seriously thinking of quitting. Then, I thought about quitting without having another job first. Stupid. Where in the hell can you go in wrestling today? If WCW were still around, or even ECW, I could see. But, TNA isn't living too long, and Carlito has not become a big enough star to do other things.

I don't know if he is actually thinking of quitting, but if you're getting a halfway decent paycheck, hang around. Talk to creative and try to make something happen.

Last nights jobbing to Hornswoggle on RAW definitely signals the end? What do we reckon? Probably the lowest job you can be given.

Probably next week Vince McMahon will "fire" Carlito for not getting the job done against Hornswoggle which will promptly get him off WWE TV which means he can slip away without any eyebrows being raised.

The match with Carlito and Hornswoggle could be taken in two ways, either yeah it was the beginning of the end, and it was a way to humiliate Carlito before getting rid of him, or in the other way, which i am going to say is wishful thinking at its best on my part. Why have Finlay there? he is from Smackdown, maybe if Carlito is so unhappy with his place on raw, put him on Smackdown... He'd probably get better matches and more tv time there. But i guess thats only wishful thinking...

Great point about the Finlay Smackdown thing. This could be used to get Carlito back on smackdown where he woul probably get a better push. I think that last night had to be hard for Carlito to job to Hornswoggle. They could have just kept him off TV, fired him and then he could go to TNA, but I think VKM wanted to make Carlito lose any dignity or any popularity by having him lose to hornswoggle before heading to TNA. I can only hope that they send him to either smckdonw or ECW.

When I saw that carlito was going to wrestle horny I told my friends that he was done in wwe. Vince just wants to hurt his career because he has the BALLS to ask for his release because he's not being used. Now with TNA as an option, vince has to worry about keeping his wrestlers happy. If he doesn't, they can leave and still be on TV.

One interesting fact from last night, Did you notice Vince didn't shake Carlito's hand after making the match. Carlito shook Regal's and Coach's.

I may be reading to far into it but Vince gets pissed when his soldiers complain and then buries them before their release.

Carlito was never anything special anyways. I mean i thought that when he first appeared and grabbed the U.S. Title From Cena. Then he was moved to RAW and appeared to not even care about the business.

After all that has went down I personally loved seeing him job to Hornswoggle. I was so sick of WWE trying to give him push after push to just see him blow it every time. So everybody start up the chant.

OK, now that most of you have buried Carlito I think he should be given credit. First of all Carlito is a good wrestler but has been held down because he is a "bad guy". Carlito has shown he has a good moveset with some impressive ariel attacks. The problem is unless he is a "good guy" he isn't allowed to do these moves because it causes fans to cheer. This is similar to why A.J. styles hasnt been as impressive as of late.

If Carlito was allowed to just wrestle they way he wants to then he would be viewed much better. Pratically his whole first year as a "bad guy" he wasnt even given any real finishing move. Creative uses carlito as the guy who is just barely able to slip by when it comes to winning matches; ex. using the ropes, quick roll ups and other unconvincing wins that help people to hate him even more.

Carlito is better now than he was a couple of years ago. Yet, a couple of years ago is when he was getting united states and intercontinental title(when the title meant more than it does now) reigns. It is creative who has gotten lazy not Carlito.

In addition to that is the Triple H factor. Carlito was getting quite a few main event matches on raw and even beat Cena while he was champion. If he was lazy I doubt they would have put carlito in these matches. Then, Triple H came and killed him in every match they had and made him look like a complete jobber. After that he lost to D.H. Smith. Every thing went down hill starting with his fued with Triple H. Booker T brought up these same problems with Triple H. Are you telling me they suddenly realized Carlito got real lazy within a couple of months? No, Carltio got tired of getting buried and asked to leave.

These same lazy comments have come up about Shelton and I believe it is more creatives fault. In the end, I dont care how lazy they are; they still deserve a bigger push than Hornswoggle!

Carlito isnt a terrible wrestler he just isnt that great and isnt really improving much. After he jobbed to Hornswoggle that basicly tells everyone that he is indeed on his way out. I personally would like him to move him to ECW and challenge if not WIN THE ECW TITLE. Carlito vs Cm Punk sounds pretty gd 2 me.

If he goes back to SD what is he gonna do?? Theres not many options there either. He just doesnt stand out like guys lyk Matt Hardy and MVP do in the Midcard. If WWE releases him he is gonna straight to TNA IMO. So ECW is my preferred Brand for Carlito.

He came to the WWE thinking that because he was Carlos Colon's son that he was 'entitled' to the championship from the start. In fact, when Flair gave him the riot act, many internet wrestling dirt sheets claim that Flair's speech was literally Carlito's performance review by road agents.

He may go to TNA, but how will they re-package him. In WWE, he came across as 'scummy' but very soft at the same time before the jobbing took place. Therefore, I do not know if TNA fans would care for him. He's too big for the X division but really too small for their main division.

I like Carlito. I've been to see Raw live twice, and both times he's been there. He knows how to work a crowd, and he knows what the fans want. I also think he's a good wrestler. He comes up with original matches, and has a lot of energy.
I think the main reason he doesn't always come across as being a good wrestler is because not everyone can work with him, he has a distinctive style. Some would say that's a mark of a bad wrestler, not being able to work with everyone, and maybe they're right. But he's entertaining and a good guy.

He is a good wrestler, but seriously since being at the WWE he has only had a few chances to show his skills, don't know whether thats because he gets put against the wrong guys, or because he just hasn't given it his all, I would really like to see him against John Morrison, they shouldn't let him go just yet.

I am a huge Carlito fan. His mic skills are exeptionally good. Also he's shown some amazing athleticism. WWE should'nt let him go.

i believe that carlito is a talented wrestler. he does great skits and if wwe let him go they are losing one talented wrestler. i believe that he could be sent to another brand or given a new gimmick as his youth and ability shouldnt be wasted

In all honesty, I either agree with the fact that he should be moved back to Smackdown, or in my opinion, switched to E.C.W.

I say E.C.W., because the W.W.E. version isn't "hardcore" its basically where talent without mic. skills (outside of Morrison, Striker, & Burke) but good wrestling ability (outside of Big Daddy V) go. Carlito has great mic. skills & even better in-ring talent, he's just become stale.. & W.W.E. doesn't know how to repackage him.

I remember the 3-way between Johnny Nitro (at the time) v. Carlito v. Shelton Benjamin, at Vengeance of 2005.. it stole the show, & that was the same night Shawn Michaels v. Kurt Angle 2 happened.. so thats some tough competition.

If Carlito is indeed a goner, I would rather see him getting jobbed out by D.H.Smith then Hornswaggle. If DH smith isn't really going to be punished (as previously reported) he could really use this rub to help his overall 'bland' character. Hornswaggle's hijinx is really starting to get to me and I can't wait for the angle to be over
