I skipped over a TON....A TON....A TON of names...

I'm sure I missed a bunch...and the list isn't perfect.

not to mention ALL the divas over the years...LOL!!!

I'm actually insulted by the question.

GAME FUCKING OVER!!

U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!

LMFAO!!

the problem with that list is that a good bunch of them trained in canada. The quality wrestlers come from Canada. Take a team from the US alltime 6 of them against 6 canadians retired, dead, or active and the canadian team wins.

You're putting wrestlers in a box. What exactly qualifies as a good wrestler? Bret Hart?

Bret Hart's move set: Punch, Suplex, headlock, elbow from the middle rope, atomic drop, legsweep, victory roll, the occasional SUPERplex, and the Sharpshooter...that makes a good wrestler? Bret Hart is so overrated it makes me sick.

first of all i didn't make that list and 2nd, Chris Benoit is a great wrestler, Chris Jericho is a great wrestler, Owen Hart was a great wrestler, Dynamite Kid was an excellent wrestler, Lance Storm is a great wrestler, Edge is very good, Abdulah the Butcher is over 100 years old and still kicks ass, and BRET HART is a legend

go ahead and pick the best 6 Americans...actually the best 12...actually lets be fair and pick the best 30.

Hogan could have a trillion people give him a standing O, that doesn't quallify him as a good wrestler. Hogan was charasmatic yes, had wrestling abilty? NONE

Hogan might be the worst 'wrestler' on the planet...I've said that a trillion times, and do you know what...It make no difference. That's pretty amazing..for someone to be that bad of a wrestler, and still get the biggest ovations year after year. What does that tell you? Think long and hard...because Canadians cheer this guy more than anyone.

Well it proves to me that he's still overrated.

It tells me the fans loved him, thats fine he was charasmatic like nobody else, the top face in the business, and he was a HORRIBLE wrestler with a HORRIBLE backstage attitude. You can't sit here and say Bret Hart is overated and give Hogan all this love at the same time. Hogan is way overtated

Why don't we poll this match even though we've seen it

You're American guy Hogan vs. Canadian Brett Hart
is that really a difficult decision?

Overrated as a wrestler YES. Bret Hart has 50 times the wrestling skills Hogan has(so does Funaki for that matter). It makes no difference.

As a fan of wrestling, out in the crowd...envisioning yourself trying to make it as a wrestler. You picture yourself walking through that curtain, in front of 20,000 fans going wild, being a star. Once you're there, you thrive off the same thing, but there's more to it, including payoffs. It's a tradeoff. The fans are there to see the wrestlers, and the wrestlers are there to walk out through the curtain to thousands of screaming fans. The Hogan name is worth more than pretty much every name(excluding Austin)..Hogan doesn't return just for the money. That's why he can't retire...you live for that same feeling you have as a kid...that feeling of walking through the curtain to the roar of the crowd.

If pro wrestling was based on actual wrestling...Kurt Angle would be wrestling HBK every week.

I'm mexican, and I like Bret Hart, he is one of the best in this bussines, he had the best attitude at backtage, he was a good wrestler with legendary matches, I love to watch him wrestling, I never get boring of him.

But in Hogan case, his match sucks, and I don't take care about de crowd, I sleept in the match Hogan vs Andre at Wrestlemania III, I prefer to see a classic:

Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania XII

This was gold, it was like canada vs america, So I think Shawn Michaels is the best american wrestler.

Yeah.

Do you have any clue how many Hogan haters there are? You could put Hogan against Gillberg, and Gillberg would get 80% of the vote.

Just watch Raw. That will tell you all you need to know.

You slept through Hogan vs. Andre? That tells me you're less than 16 years old.

It also tells me how knowledgeable of a fan you are.

I don't even know why I'm so caught up in this.

I have a ton of respect for Candian wrestlers. I just think Canadians get a little carried away sometimes.

The Bret Hart comment should've been reserved for the 'Controversial Topics' Thread. (I actually kind of like Bret Hart..his hall of fame speech was surprisingly funny)

I'm going to bed..unlike some of you, i have work in the morning.

I voted canadian, because out of the two choices, canadians seem to put out better wrestlers...america puts out "superstars"

but, if I had my choice, I would pick Latino, Asian, British, then canadian

See the thing is I (and many other wrestling fans) was born after all of the Hogan hype back in the 80's so I never really got the chance to experiance Hulkamania when it was it's prime. Maybe that's why I think the Hogan vs Andre match was pretty boring in the late 80's. The atmosphere was great but, the wrestling wasn't. Now I've seen Bret Hart wrestle and he's amazing in the ring. One of the best. I prefer him.

In order I would have to say:

Asian
Canadian, Mexican,British
American

Flames Out
Dragon

Im English and im going to have to say Americans - e.g Kurt Angle, Hulk Hogan, HHH, Orton, JBL, Undertaker, Flair, Savage, Austin, The Rock and many many more!
