Can somebody explain the hate on Courtney Love???

I never got it, I mean i've never heard her band but apparently it's bad and I know she's not the greatest parent in the world but that doesn't seem to be cover the main hatred of the woman, there are plently of people who are bad parents (Britney Spears etc) so why does Courtney Love get this hate

I've never felt she was deserving of hate, she's just a total fuckup. She was also unfortunate enough to be married to be Cobain when he died, thus everyone looking to vent just blamed her instead of Cobain, who is the one people should be angry at. I'll also add that as much as I'm not a fan of Hole, she's far from untalented.

She seems like an idiot all around from what I've seen over the years. Many hate her because there were some strong rumors that she had Kurt Cobain killed and made to look like a suicide. Hole got popular because Cobain was writing her songs and once he stopped they were shit (not that they were all that great even with Cobain's songwriting as they basically sucked all around). Love showed how low she has dwelled on the Pam Anderson roast and she's had some stupid run in's with the law (throwing rocks through windows). She's a hack and doesn't seem to be a very good person at all.

At the same time though, no one can ever deny her talent. She made some great music in the nineties. It's sort of the same thing with Amy Winehouse. You can make fun of her all day, but you can never fault her music.

Call me rational, but I don't think Kurt was "murdered" by anyone but himself.

That said, the only reason I "hate" Courtney, is because of her character. She can't hold onto custody of her kid, she's in and out of rehab more often than Jeff Conway, and if she's starving for attention, she just sues people, to keep her name in the public eye. Overall, she's a selfish human, and I'm surprised she hasn't overdosed yet.
