Can Smackdown be Saved?

I think what they should do is bring the rosters back together. Have Vince tell the Coach and Long that they both are "FIRED"! And starting immediately the rosters will be combined because of how awful the GM were doing. Let this last for several months than have Shane come on and say that he owns 25% of the company and his mom gave up her 25% to him, therefor he owns 50% now. Have him appoint new GMs, and than have a new draft.
The whole story idea may not sound to well, but I think the shows need to come together for a little while. It will help Smackdown out a lot as far as the ratings go and the show itself.

Smackdown does not need saving as such. Smackdown can put on some wicked shows if it has all it's stars fit. It just needs better luck. Look at the roster.

That's a pretty decent roster. Then you've got people like Khali and Henry there, and they've only just lost Angle. Obviously we lost Eddie, and Hussan was the victim of unfortunate timing. All Smackdown needs is a couple of new mid to upper carders and there is no problem.

SmackDown can probably be saved because Vince McMahon will most likely never give up on SmackDown. Kurt Angle making the switch to ECW though is no doubt a very big blow to SmackDown & I feel that Kurt is needed more on SmackDown than on ECW shows.
Booker T is a fantastic wrestler & heel, but he is underused on SmackDown. Booker deserves to be World Heavyweight Champion in the WWE hopefully that will happen before he retires.
Bobby Lashley has a lot of potential & will likely be a main eventer in the WWE. That would help save SmackDown.
Also if Edge was on SmackDown, he could make that show much more interesting & help save it.

I think they could probably give Smackdown a shot in the arm if they moved over Masters and Carlito. If they could bring back Lesner that would help as well. At the moment smackdown kind of sucks because they've had a string of injuries, and Angle was moved to ECW. We wouldn't be talking about how bad Smackdown was if Batista was still there as a maineventer, as was Angle, JBL hadn't reinjured himself prompting his colour commentary role and Benoit was also active.

Not really relevant, but if I had my way I'd move Kurt Angle back to Raw, just because I'm never home to watch any of the other shows, and I miss seeing Kurt being the fucking WRESTLING MACHINE!!

I have to say, last night's Smackdown blew ass. No disrespect to Lashley or Booker T or Mysterio, but these three can't carry the burden sustaining Smackdown. Matt Hardy MUST be pushed, otherwise the Smackdown's episode last night just hit rock bottom.
The Great Khali can't do squat shit, except head butt people, which really isn't that great. I think Mark Henry and Khali should feud. That would be great.

Most of Smackdown's problem is that they continue to do what McMahon's dumb ass always does: they push gimmicks in place of quality wrestling. They show has become Friday Night Thunder. It has a solid roster, but the show isn't focused around what can save it, and that is great wrestling with intelligent storylines. Booker T has been saddled with Randy Savage's gimmick circa 1991. Lashley need two years of acting lessons before he's allowed within ten feet of a mic (he also needs to be put into a tag team as he can't carry a long match on his own because he's green as Kermit the Frog). Booker T is an ex-gang member and a legit toughguy. He should be mixing it up in brutal matches with no limits placed on the offensive side of things and his wife needs to keep her ass off of TV. Khali needs to be dropped off at the nearest zoo. Gimmick matches also need to be given to some members of the undercard. I'm thinking of stuff like a TLC match with the Mexi-cools versus Kendrick and London. They'd tear it up. Matt Hardy still can't draw a fraction of the pop he did post-Edge & Lita-fiasco. Mysterio needs to be put in the ring with more guys who can work his speed. I like Helms as a worker, but no one gives a damn about the Cruiserweight division, and hasn't since WCW was in existence. It's not a priority and never has been because Shane and Vince don't care for it so they don't focus on buidling it up. The other thing is that these shows aren't booked in a logical order because they're always worried about the damned quarter hour ratings. Booking Mysterio in the opener even though he's the champ? That'll give the belt some more esteem. It's not just Smackdown that is in the dumps, it's the whole company.

Well i got to tell you the last Smackdown show was the worst I have seen for a long time Booker T beat the living crap out of Lashley and still got beat and you couldnt shut that big mouthed JBL up he was hopeless. Give us all a break Vince and combine the two brands, make Teddy Long the GM and get rid of Layfield off the announce team, Smackdown is crap.

I think that now ECW is back, the rosters on Raw & Smackdown should combine.
ECW should have the World Title, United States title, World Tag belts and the Cruiserweight belt, and WWE should have the WWE Title (not Cena´s spinny thing, but the real title belt), the Intercontinental Title, WWE Tag belts and Women's belt.
However what I think, and what Vinny Mac will do are 2 completely different things.

They wont combine...Even though smackdown is in the dumps, Raw has a lot of main eventers: Edge, Cena, Orton, Foley, HHH, and HBK. If they were to reunite, you would only be seeing those superstars plus maybe Batista, Mark Henry, and Khali (we dont want to see his ugly ass though)...and plus if ECW fails miserably (which is what it loks like) then all they have is WWF minus The Attitude Era. Is That What We Want??...I think not.

I do have to say i was a fan of the old ECW and those were the good days. If we can keep all of the WWE stars out of ECW then it will be better...A draft is not such a good idea because ECW doesnt need WWE Stars, and ECW cant let any of their stars go because of the small roster...Raw and Smackdown Draft might work...Your right, the storylines aren't gonna cut it...Rey Mysterio deserves what he has, but it was a shitty way for him to get it with Eddies death....and more superstars...I HAVE A SOLUTION- Raw needs to donate some of theirs

Smackdown needs to wash away all of the useless "talent" and sports enteratiner gimmicks and give shots to some of it's younger or better equipped workers. Guys like Dave Batista and JBL need to stay the hell away from anything other than tag team wrestling. They can't carry a crowd past ten minutes if their families were held at gunpoint. Funny though, that Batista rags on AJ Styles for having a lack of ability in the largest pot-kettle situation I can remember hearing. Benoit needs to be the top guy because his workrate never waivers and he keeps good care of his body. Plus he can actually wrestle. But instead, we're treated to Benoit wrestling the midcard like it's ninteen-f***ing-ninety-seven. I don't know how many times I'm going to have to say this, but nothing sells a wrestling show like SOLID WRESTLING.
I think smackdown needs alot of help in order for it to be saved. Such as better storylines gimmicks. Take Booker T's gimmick what the fuck is this king booker shit I watched smackdown this past friday night and turned off the tv and went to sleep thats how shity it is. JBL should not be talking on the mic the hole damn show Smackdown needs alot of work.

SmackDown isn't dead... Batista will be back in two weeks... they have Rey, Finlay, Lashley, Booker, Kennedy, Regal, Mark Henry, Helms, Matt Hardy, Gunner Scott etc etc... plus Chavo will be making his return to the ring. I didn't mention Undertaker because I think he hurts the show more than helps it.
