Bullshit about Movies

I'm usually not a b ig fan of his. The only things I've seen (that I know of) are Van Wilder, and the sequel. They weren't great movies, but the first one was good for a few laughs, and Tara Reid channeled her inner hotness, which is rare.

I'm actually one of the rare breed that didn't enjoy Van Wilder, but I also hate all things Ryan Reynolds since they wrapped Two and a Girl.

NSL: Maximum Overdrive is another 80s cult classic. The only movie that Stephen King actually directed himself. It's got a kickass AC/DC soundtrack, cars murdering children, and Emilio Estevez. I'm pretty sure that's all the motivation you need to watch it. I love the movie, and when one of the kids is biking around town witnessing all the mayhem machines have caused, it's actually genuinely pretty creepy.

Murf: Sideways is very good. Alexander Payne is a great director, I'd definately say give it a watch, good flick. Have you ever seen Election?

Wow...I just noticed somebody changed my custom title to the Towlie catchphrase...nice. Why do the mods keep changing my shit without asking me?!

Little Monsters is fucking awesome, X. Definitely one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. Anything with Fred Savage honestly I really liked. The Princess Bride, Vice Versa, and even The Wizard... all fucking fun movies, with The Princess Bride just being flat out great and perhaps one of the best films from the eighties.

But yeah... Little Monsters was fun as hell. Though, I think movies like Free Willy and Rookie of the Year rival it as far as being the greatest kids movie of all time (without counting animated pictures since that's basically a whole different genre).

Movies I'm looking forward to.

Terminator 5: Rise of the Broken Copiers that people always kick.

Saw 6: The only movie who's main character has been dead for 10 years.

Lethal Weapon 1,222,333: Yes, they are old.

Star Wars VS Star Trek: Yes, Shatner fucks everything that moves yet again!

Little Mermaid: Sex change, first she was a mermaid, then a human, now a man!

Kill Bill 3: Uma Therman's size 234 boots stomp ass again.

Weekend at Bernie's 3: What the FUCK is that stench?

Little Shop Of Horrors 2: The pot plants strike back! Who's smoking who?

Cheech and Chong: Just plain old.

Transformers X: Metal on Metal: The last porno you'll ever watch.

Bill and Ted's upgrade to crack: Is it a keystone drug?

Pretty Woman 2: Um, what's that bulge under your dress?

Killer Klownz From Outer Space 2: THEY HAVE TO MAKE A FUCKING SEQUEL TO THAT MASTERPIECE!

:D:D:D

Also X, what'd you think about Adventures in Babysitting?

If that counts as a kids movie, then that'd be my all time favorite I believe. But since there's the F Bomb, I guess it can't be described as that, lol.

All this talk of babysitting, makes me think of The Babysitters. Not a particularly great movie, but it was halfway decent considering the cast and story. Katherine Waterston nude was a bonus, but I can actually say Leguizamo wasn't half bad either.

I liked what I saw of Sideways.

By the time I got back from gym/dinner, it was too late to return some flicks for Fog of War and maybe a few others.

Haven't seen it, thought it looked pretty damn bad. What'd you think (if you've seen it)?

We have serious business to address now.

I need to pick something to watch.

Is Black Sheep any good?

What did everyone think of Curse of the Golden Flower? I loved it, and am considering it.

Considering Pan's Labyrinth, Synecdoche, In Bruges, Usual Suspects, Assassination of Jesse James, Across the Universe, Chinatown, and Southland Tales.

If you're talking about the Chris Farley-David Spade film, it's an enjoyable and cheesy 90s comedy.

If you're talking about the recent horror film about killer mutant sheep, definately give it a rent. It's a hell of a fun little film, gorey and pretty damn funny. I saw it when it first came to the Newport Film Festival here a few years back.

Still have not gotten around to seeing it, and I'm not sure if I will. Doesn't seem like my kind of film.

Considering Pan's Labyrinth, Synecdoche, In Bruges, Usual Suspects, Assassination of Jesse James, Across the Universe, Chinatown, and Southland Tales.

Pan's Labryinth - Amazing, Del Toro's best film.

Synechdoche, NY - Not as good as I was hoping for, but it's Charlie Kaufman, so it's obviously great.

In Bruges - On my DVR, still haven't seen it.

The Usual Suspects - All time classic, if you've never seen it, do so immediately. I hope the ending hasn't been ruined for you. Byrne & Spacey are amazing.

Assassination: Haven't seen it yet.

Chinatown - Amazing. Polanski's best film (The Tenant is close)

Southland Tales - Well you already know my opinion on that one, now don't you?

I'm talking about the horror film. I have a copy of it.

I don't think you'd like it. It's kind of big.

Besides Assassination, I've seen all of them. I just want to watch something this afternoon.

Jake really liked it, and I thought it was okay. Christian Slater does give his best performance in YEARS in that one, so it's worth checking out on that base alone.

I bought it for a friend's birthday, because she loves sheep, and she threw it away. I have yet to find another copy...

:lmao:

I imagine the film wouldn't be very fun for a sheep-lover, what with the hundreds of carnivorous sheep that are hacked and slashed into pieces.

Watched Pi earlier today, I'm sure some of you have seen it. Third or fourth time I've seen it and it continues to get better each and every time. Darren Aronofsky is such a fucking genius. I'll have a review up for it in my review thread before the night is done.

My friend may get a 16 millimeter copy of Chinatown soon. He thinks it's overrated and thinks Tarantino is the greatest director ever.

Needless to say I'll threatened him with physical violence if he doesn't give me the copy.

Not a fan of Tarantino Murf? He's not the greatest director of all time, but I'd put him in the top twenty based off Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction alone.

He's good, but this kid places Kill Bill as the greatest movie of all time and says Chinatown is overrated.

He's knowledgeable about films. I went to see Moon with him(his underage ass had to see Whatever Works).

I will take the copy from him.

Sorry but anyone who thinks that Chinatown is overrated can't be referred to as "knowledgable about films".

I like him as an actor too. From Dusk Til Dawn he was good in, as well as Four Rooms (one of my secret faves).

Man you just continue to make me love you NSL.

From Dusk till Dawn is one of my favorite movies ever, I literally watch it like once a month atleast. It's just the funnest movie ever. The first half is amazing on it's own merits, and than the second half just comes out of nowhere and becomes a horror film classic.

And Four Rooms...love it. Rodriguez and Tarantino's parts are HILARIOUS and all around awesome. Tim Roth is the god damn man in that flick. I used to actually watch that movie all the time with my buddy Evan I told you about and eat mushrooms and smoke up, GOOOD times.
