Build a bridge, get over it.

Winds-Of-Change

Occasional Pre-Show
Basically the title of the thread say's it all.

Im not going to go into past accomplishments and all that bull as it is irrelevant. But for you CM Punk fans, for your own good, get off the CM Punk return train because it has left the station. CM Punk is DONE. Finished, he is gone. He is retired. So move on, he isnt coming back.

Its been 6 Months and he STILL hasnt given ANY explanation to why he left. Not a single smidge of it. Sure, some would say he dosent owe the fans anything. Thats bullshit. He owes the loyal, I mean the really loyal people who made him what he is, the guys who stuck behind him all these years some sort of explanation. Even if its a, "Hey guys.. im burnt out and cant do this anymore, thanks" or whatever.

But then you could argue that you wouldnt thank customers after you quit your day job in a call centre, for giving you work to do. The difference being, these customers in the call centre dont give a fuck about me. Though these customers who pay to see me and buy my merch give a fuck about me. That's why I believe he should give you an explanation, but would you accept it 6 months later?

So for your own sanity and driving everyone mad with your threads, move on.

As Batista would say, deal with it.

So you don't think theres a chance CM Punk could come back and join the Shield?

Seriously, I'm with you. We're at the point that we'll all be better off he fades away. The "CM Punk" chants at arenas don't really bother me, it's people online trying to pigeonhole Punk into current storylines, trying to book his return if he were to return RIGHT NOW, that is annoying as hell. And this is basically a daily routine for Punk marks.

I'm not with the OP when they declare that "he isn't coming back". I think it's a matter of when he comes back, not if. But part of the fun part of a guy coming back from extended time off, is that you've kind of forgotten about him for a while, and it's refreshing to see them back where they belong. Punk fans aren't letting that happen.

Not to be nit-picky but if Punk left six months ago, who was that skinny fat muumuu tattooed guy putting in significant time during the Rumble? Not to be further nit-picky but you say he retired but then you say he gave no reason for leaving. "Retirement" is a reason for leaving. Then again, when did he say he "retired" or would never be back?

Nevermind, if it were not for pointless speculation this forum could not exist. It's not necessarily Punk fans who are doing the speculating. It is just people that want to be surprised so badly they're imagination takes over their ability to think rationally. And others are just stupid. But fantasy booking can be fun.

I'm sorry you feel that Punk owes you more. That must really hurt.

I should of mentioned sorry, I believe he owes me nothing.

Personally I think hes overated. But the countless, "lets book him to return this way", "let him join The Shield", etc. Just get off the guys dick you know. Hes done, some people just need to accept it.

Given good health, I think we'll at some point see CM Punk back... But the timing is not right for that for Punk or the WWE. This hiatus is actually benefitting both parties. WWE gets to create fresh content that won't be the same ol' repetitive non sense. Punk gets the rub of when people become even more fond of someone because they're gone.

In time, a Punk return would make sense. But right now, with all of the new stars coming in and new storylines, Punk takes away from part of the product. And, I'll say this too.... I'm a huge fan of The Rock, but a Rock (in-ring) return for anything but Mania would pull the rug out from under these young guys too. Pretty much anyone returning would.

Let the youth start to build the new era of the WWE with a few remnants of the old era (Cena, Orton, Triple H).

That will make Punk's return, whenever it is (could be years) that much more memorable.

I don't really get why one would get upset with people hoping Punk returns.

Do I think he's coming back? Not at all, chances are if he was to come back he would have done so already. I also think it would be wise for those people to accept the fact he's probably never returning but lets be honest, there have been TONS of people who came back who people never thought would, The Rock is a perfect example of this. I can't count how many threads I read about this same subject 5-10 years ago regarding The Rock yet at the end of the day he came back even if it took a long ass time for it to happen. It goes to show that in wrestling, ANYONE and I mean ANYONE can come back as long as they're alive.

Some people just want to see one of their favorites come back so they hope it will happen. I think it would be best if they just let it go (get excited when he ACTUALLY comes back if it happens) but really who cares? If this kind of stuff bothers people then you take your wrestling WAY too seriously.

You're really not helping matters by posting a thread that's already been posted before.
People bitching about people chanting for Punk and posting ideas for him to come back is just as bad as people doing those things.

When Shawn walked out in the '90s and when Stone Cold walked out because he didn't want to work with Brock (supposedly) did people bitch about them too? Were people suddenly supposed to be mad at them and forget about them?

Seems like they stayed just as popular and people didn't suddenly hate them for leaving. Some may have but largely people still liked them.

The only difference is that there's social media now so people feel like they're owed an explanation. No one owes anyone anything. Punk leaving is his business.

If he wants to come back then that's fine. If he never steps foot in a ring again and never says why then that's fine too.

As long as he has days in his contracts, most of us die-hard Punk fans have hopes of him showing up. He has a contract, so from a technical standpoint, it is logical for fans to cheer for Punk, because he can still technically appear.

If people want to chant for CM Punk what is the big deal? Let them, there are still Austin 3:16 signs and "What?" Should they stop showing their admiration for the slogan and catchphrase because Austin hasn't wrestled in 10 years? I'm not even a huge CM Punk fan but creating a thread to nag about live crowds chanting for their favorite wrestler is petty. Until CM Punk publically says he is done actively performing then i am not buying a retirement. One thing to remember, while the crowds energy kinda carries the show the product is what we are really watching and should be more concerned about.
