BREAKING: Angle replaces Roman and Balor faces Styles!

However... it sucks that we're not getting a build-up between Demon and AJ. However the match will probably tear down the house and it'll be interesting to see how they book this.

How many wrestlers would I have to injure to get a Daniel Bryan return?

AJ Styles, Orton and Nakamura. After that I am sure Bryan would have to step up.

Angle makes sense as replacement. AJ doesnt make any sense at all unless you count Bullet Club.

This is odd. Surely they could have done a major angle for Angle's in ring return instead of a last minute injury replacement. Same with A.J vs Finn....so it's suddenly Raw vs SD because Sister Abagail is sick? Talk about a big last minute change there. These are Wrestlemania type moves, not C Minus PPV type moves. Looking forward to TLCMania now.

Could have been an opportunity to put Balor in match and then have Anderson and Gallows interfere and start a faction war. Could explain both Wyatts and Reigns absence as a mysterious attacker then the next night The Club take credit. Balor could say he he needed an 'in' to get close to Ambrose and Rollins.

They blew Kurt Angles return on this and Balor vs AJ so it at least only blows one good angle instead of two.

Wow. TLC is going to be awesome. Really don't understand why AJ gets thrown in when there are many Raw guys. Same with Angle but at least he is on the Raw show. Don't know what to think, really doesn't seem like a throwaway PPV anymore.

Kind of makes Kane coming back to avenge Reigns retiring his brother kind of feel irrelevant if Reigns is not going to be in the match.

Assuming that is why he did what he did.

Why do that when you can have Finn Balor, the first BC leader, take on AJ Styles, the second BC leader, with the possibility of Anderson/Gallows looming around?

Also, them adding Balor to the TLC match removes a match from the PPV. They'd have to bring up a match from the pre-show or re-adjust match times to cover. Simply replacing people in the matches keeps the schedule relatively the same (i.e. the laziest/easiest option).

Blew? How?

Kurt Angle is fighting alongside Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins to take on Braun Strauman, Sheamus, The Miz, Kane and Cesaro in a TLC match.

If you don't understand my argument, please read that sentence again. Cesaro and Angle are on opposite sides. That's a bloody dream match. Angle and Sheamus hitting each other really hard? Angle has done well against big men like Braun. Angle is comedic enough for Miz as an opponent... so many possibilities with everyone involved, and I haven't even said anything about the actual match stipulation.

Just because Kurt Angle is NOT in a singles match that is NOT a feud exclusive to him does NOT mean it is blowing Kurt Angle's return.

I'm looking forward to it but I'm of the consensus that it's a waste to just throw Angle out there. It was already a handicap match. They could've made it more handicappy.

Alternatively, slip Brock a couple of hundy and got him involved.

At the end of the day the WWE needs to keep the card interesting. just moving Balor to the TLC Match doesn't get the interest in the card. This was a 1-match card and the 1 match got bumped. As such they needed something to make the people want to order the PPV.

That leaves them with 2 options.
1. Call up your champion and see if he'd replace Wyatt and fight Balor (he wouldn't make sense in the multi-man TLC Match). This is unlikely because Lesnar doesn't do short notice. Plus the match would be a borderline squash which would be terrible for Balor.
2. Have a big return to keep the hype. The easiest return was Angle which they did. It fits storyline wise and of all the returns it is the most desired among the fans.

List of returns that wouldn't work:
-Taker wouldn't work because he's hurt and there's no reason to enter the fight with Kane on the other side.
-You could conceivable had called Goldberg, but that doesn't really fit either. He had no interaction with any of the combatants.
-Jericho returning isn't a big deal (and he's busy anyway).
-Samoa Joe (if available) is a heel with a massive history with Rollins, plus he wouldn't be making people want to buy the PPV.
-Daniel Bryan is never wrestling in WWE again (and arguably shouldn't wrestle anywhere again), don't get your hopes up.
-John Cena is unavailable due to movie commitments.

IF Angle wasn't healthy the only other option would have been to put Joe vs. Balor and then put AJ in the Main Event.

In all honesty this is absolutely the best thing to happen to Finn Balor. Since he came back he's been floundering in the never-ending Wyatt feud. He now gets to go a long time and have a great match with AJ to help boost himself back up towards the Main event.

There...are people actually complaining about this? Finn Balor's match just got 100 times more interesting and Angle wrestling again is pretty damn huge and a nice treat to us. Just enjoy something for once.

It seems that they care about WWE's financial well being and smart booking decisions for than the WWE itself.

Is there any chance Angle gets taken out before the match by whoever was going to be his first match? Maybe Jordan?
