Booking Dean Ambrose

This guy is hot at the moment. He is a refreshing and exciting character in an era of generic babyfaces. Despite losing to Rollins and Wyatt the crowd still really get behind him and I am really looking forward to his match at Fastlane. At present though where does he fit into the Wrestlemania equation?

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
I hope this happens again but there should be something more at stake. Maybe a title shot? If Mania and RR were closer it could be fun to give them the no.30 at the Rumble, but the time gap between them is too large.This match type gives pretty much the whole roster a chance just to get on the card, it does not have to be long but a few fun spots can make it a worthwhile match and break up the card a little. Ambrose winning this would be a great reward for his incredible work during and since The Shield. Hopefully he does not follow the path of Cesaro though.

Intercontinental Title
He is set to face Barrett for the IC title at Fastlane. I hope this will be an awesome brawl. But with their brawling styles and contrasting personalities I think there is a lot more potential in this feud. A rematch would be a simple choice, but I would like to see Sheamus added to the mix as well for a triple threat match at Mania which Ambrose wins. Even better, why not make it a hardcore or tables match? The probable Mania card is full of singles matches, so a 10minute match like this could help.

The Shield triple threat
Now this is a long shot and the build would probably be rushed but I still want this to happen. Why not have Rollins cost Reigns his match vs Bryan. Rollins says he created The Shield he should be the first one to headline Mania. Next night on RAW Rollins and The Authority beat down on Reigns. Ambrose tries to make the save, but Reigns attacks him saying he doesn't need help. Yes it would be kind of rushed in just a month but we would get the triple threat match many people have wanted to see for ages.

Winning the Andre Memorial Battle Royal would work for Ambrose. It would give him some kind of bragging rights (though probably unused since he's a face) and keep him relevant if he loses to BNB. Though BNB has barely done anything with the title since winning it.

I disagree with any prize for winning it involving a title shot. You've already got the RR and the MITB. Having another prize out there just makes it redundant, too easy to win a title shot and makes the other 2 "guarantees" just less meaningful.

I'm of the opinion that he should win the IC Title at Mania and get his new main event push started the RIGHT way. Win the IC strap, hold it for 5-6 months, lose it unfairly, and than set your sights on the WWEWHC. This is a proven formula and I think it would do absolute wonders for Ambrose... he needs a slow burn to remain fresh and to keep evolving his character.

I don't think Barrett loses the title at Fast Lane as it would be just another example of WWE hotshotting the title, and I think they have a much higher opinion of Barrett than to just feed him to Ambrose. Barrett should win at Fast Lane, maybe with the help of somebody (perhaps Sheamus as you mentioned), and than Ambrose should win the title in either a gimmick match or triple threat match at Mania.

I think that Ambrose vs Barrett for the IC title in a No DQ Brawl will be a fun Wrestlemania match which would give Ambrose a mania moment like he deserves- winning the championship and having a long reign with it in a 10-15 minute brawl with plenty of weapons (kendo sticks, chairs, trashcans) and exciting spots. Not everyone has to main event the show to get their mania moment, and Ambrose could have a good match with Barrett on the grandest stage of them all and then continue the rise to the main event over the next year or two .
