Book This! - General Discussion

Posted some stuff in the lounge, basic info about the promotion. I'll get a new pick up for it when I have a sig-maker make one for me.

Got the first segment of my first RAW written. I think it's going to go well.

Feeling quite proud of myself. Have finally got to my first ever PPV and it is not a bad job - if I do say so myself! Bit worried there was too much happening but it is the first PPV so I'll stop being harsh on myself.

Anyway, now I've done a PPV, does that make me a veteran round here?!!!

Also, how long is too long for a PPV?

Let me say, it was a great PPV. Really enjoyed the whole thing, and it had some exciting twists and turns. I'll drop a full review sometime tomorrow.

Cheers. I had a lot of things happening but it was the point that I was breaking away from what the WWE were doing for real. I tried to go for some things that were a little different. That's why I was annoyed when Jerry Lawler and the Miz faced each other on RAW last week!

That is some good work GCB...I'm quite enjoying your work. I hope some of you check out my little excerpt I posted in the Share Your Ideas thread in the main section...

Lita, I just checked out your idea. I really liked it and I can see a lot of twists coming out of Truth's involvement and the hooded figure who attacked Orton. I thought that the WWE should have used Truth a little more than they did in this storyline with Nexus and you can take advantage of that by putting your own spin on it.

Chip, I have read most of your eps and I will go read No Mercy and do a little review for you.

Well, it is the weekend, so that means another episode of WWE 2005 from me. Have the start and first match of Smackdown done, so lets hope I get into a writing cycle tonight.

So it looks like Crock and myself will not be able to continue with our BT project. One being real life calls and gets in the way of things and also in my case I don't have a computer at this instant and only have access to one every now and then. So I have no clue as to when or if I'll return to the BT section full time. Maybe I'll write matches here and there and share with you guys, but a full time return seems very unlikely at the moment. I'll be sure to do my best to keep up with current BT projects and help/give advice when I can.

I'm having real trouble finding a new gimmick for Ted DiBiase jr. and was wondering if anyone had any ideas? Rep for any suggestions!

Ted DiBiase as a heel yeah?

What about a DiBiase that hates to see the likes of Morrison, Rhodes, Kingston and Swagger moving ahead of him and sneakily takes them out? He could become a cunning, slimeball that will do anything to get a leg up and to take a shortcut.

He's a bit bland so it's hard to come up with much for him!

Well, Smackdown is half finished. I have three matches left which are the Main Event, A United States Championship, and a Team Smackdown match. The show should be up later tonight.

Yeah Lita, a gimmick not fantasies... haha.

LOL...that too...hehe. No...like what kind of gimmick per se? Maybe psycho evil? Or more just creeper kind? Or just spoiled brat? What was something you were thinking? The kind of gimmick I had in mind is where he would end up paying off people for their title shots maybe...an earning as you go type guy. Then he ends up paying the wrong person one too many times...and gets into a situation he can't buy his way out of.

I think the reason that Ted isn't currently succesful is because he is linked too closely to his famous father by name and gimmick. I just need to transform him into something different to make him stand out, he has a great look, allright mic skills and is great in the ring.

You could give him a gimmick very similar to what I did with Jack Swagger during one of the joint promotions. Pretty much Swagger targeted Triple H (made sense due to the fact the E was no longer a company so he called Triple H out for being a phony). However this could easily be done in the E with Ted saying that he doesn't want to live in the shadow of his father's legacy and he wants to cast out his own. So instead of calling out Triple H, Ted is pretty much calling out his father and his family's legacy in professional wrestling. Have him pretty much disown his father and his family (hell maybe a name change would be proper, though not totally necessary). Ted doesn't want the association with his family's legacy and have him work from the ground up. Hell have him struggle and claw and make it seem like it is impossible for him to avoid what he can't avoid. Even take the unrealistic approach where Ted starts getting unstable and constantly hears his father's laughter and catchphrases as he roams the back (much like they did with Kane during his schizo type thing during See No Evil). Finally down the road Ted can start to achieve some of the success he felt he was capable of reaching. Sounds confusing, but it is just an idea.

Have DiBiasse become depressed, and then resort to buying drugs with his money from his father, have him become a complete druggie.

If that doesn't work, have him become an assassain.

That sounds slightly similar to what I was thinking of doing. I might have Ted disown his father like you said and then say that the only reason look down upon him is because he has been handed everything by his more successful father. Ted would then abandon Maryse (leaving her open for someone else I need her to manage), use a crappy generic theme and tron and start using crappy/generic ring attire and I would have him use a clean offence which would not include any of his father's moves ie. Dream Street, fist drop. He would then earn people's respect in the crowd and in the lockeroom etc. and possibly turn to a babyface role and work from there. Just an idea I was thinking of.

Mine is basically a combination of TNA and WWE, I had one planned a bit back that was going to be both of them as seperate companies but it never got going for me.

Just a little note to y'all... the VWF will cease to exist as the whole storyline of the show has been compromised with Maxine losing the NXT season, so I'm starting a new BT which will have the exact same characters (minus Maxine, but with Kaitlyn) and the same female fed idea.

I didn't like the VWF name anyway... so don't threat, I'm still here.
