Book This! - General Discussion

hey guys, my schedule is really cramped up for the next week/2 weeks, so sorry for the delay, but still, make sure that you all get your predictions in.:):)

Congrats Butty, what's shaking BTers?

Just got the opening for RAW done in what would be one of the few times Justice has spoken by himself without James Mitchell or anyone. Happy with what I got but it's nothing special. I would like to add that even after what I said about the WC title match at ER, I did really like the event Peep. Just want to make sure you know I did really enjoy it.

Oh and the women will return to my thread on RAW. Battle Royal will be on the card to crown the NEW Women's Champion. No idea yet who will be challenging.

I just went through the WWF 1999 ppvs and after Austin got injured it was quite disappointing. Vince winning the title, then vacating it.. it was ok, but with the talent they had it could have been waaay better. I might visit this at some stage in a BT, as it could be a really cool set of stories for such a great time for the WWF, especially if you throw in a what if Austin didn't get injured and kept wrestling aspect of it...

Hopefully I break the 8000 mark with this latest edition of RAW. Little sad I didn't get one review for Smackdown. But hey, stuff happens.

  1. Edge
  2. Brock Lesnar
  3. Raven
  4. John Cena
  5. Booker T

I'm sure the list changes whenever I do this. But Edge normally stays up the top with Lesnar and Raven switching positions at times.

1. Sabu
2. Benoit
3. Christian
4. John Morrison
5. The Rock

As Proph said they usually change up every time I do this, but the top 3 are just about always in there.

Predictions are up for you Best, enjoy. And don't be afraid to stop by my thread and drop a review for Smackdown.

I'm not doing commentating for this weeks for RAW, keeping it simple with things. I will be doing every detail for Smackdown as it is PPV month but as for RAW, things are going to be shorter.

Top 5:
1. Bret Hart
2. The Miz
3. CM Punk
4. Chris Jericho
5. The Rock

Top 5 matches:
1. Bret Hart vs. HBK, Iron Man Match @ WrestleMania 12
2. Benoit vs. Jericho, Ladder Match, Royal Rumble 2001
3. Rock vs. Hogan, WrestleMania 18
4. CM Punk vs. John Cena, MITB 2011
5. HBK vs. Tatanka, WrestleMania 9

That match is really overrated these days. It's a classic because it was the first ever and who was in it. It had a great moment with Shawn Michaels winning the title but the match itself isn't out of this world.

Also got a good part of RAW finished. The episode will be in a type of recap, with stuff like announcing, mindless chatter between the switch of segments and other useless stuff being cut out. It may seem quick but it works... ... I think.

To be fair, the question was about your favourite five. HBK vs. Tatanka was - by today's standards - wasn't that great. But it was IMO the best match in my first Mania. Pity about the crap finish. Same with Iron Man Match - I was 10 and it felt like best match ever at the time.

Of course, it's more about the moment then the wrestling.

I don't think I could pin down five matches, my fav match types though are: the Royal Rumble, Survivor Series Tag Team Match then can't go past a basic singles/tag team.

The results of TNA's latest ppv were so bad tht it inspires me to do even better with my fed just to show how good TNA could be without all the crap...

I didn't order it, only checked out the results and nothing jumped out to be exciting at all. Happy Angle got the belt but it didn't look to good for a PPV.

I only got the results too, but it's just swerve for swerve sake. If Angle joins Immortal, it is beyond stupid, he just spent the entire 2011 fighting Jarrett a top guy in that stable. Angle just cost Immortal the title and giving it back to the stables greatest enemy...

Everyone here in BT make sure their stuff makes sense... why can't companies that pour millions into their product do the same.. this may cost TNA more viewers...

I decided to go with making every show a big show instead of the weekly format. But the problem with that is that I'm going to have to write out each match in it's entirety, and I've realized I'm not very good at that.

Would anyone read it if I kept the promos complete but do the matches in recap form? If I do it that way I think the show would be better and I probably would already have a couple shows finished.
