Book This! - General Discussion

I'll be the first to say it, I hate the spoiler tag thing that was done for the matches. Had a quick check of the event and it looks very good. Going to give it a real run through now.

Hmm, good to know. It has been something I've pondered changing as I'm thinking of going with a new style heading out of Extreme Rules.

Yeah I would go for a change, one thing that was really annoying was when I would be reading the entrances and then before I could get the spoiler tag it would tell me the winner. Took the excitement out of the match to be honest Theo.

I just think it looks better without being held in a tag Peep, do what you will. It could be that nobody else uses them for matches and that it has always been the normal thing to keep them out. I don't know, maybe it's that I like to be able to continue to scroll down the page and have the match in front of me without having to click the button to show it. It just didn't look right for me and that could just be me. Maybe people like it, I couldn't answer that. It was a good read, but we can always find room to improve. I hope this draft gets some big stars on Smackdown as it needs something to spice things up.

To be honest Proph, it doesn't look like you really read the show as you didn't even mention half of the matches on the card in your review, as well as a big return(s). Firstly you said the card was predictable but yet you only guessed one out of the three matches and didn't take a stab at what the 'extra' match would be.

You have been going on about the WHC match for a while and I did it for a reason. The one thing that the WWE does is make it's young, heel champions look crap straight away, they always get cheap victories and often get beaten up week after week on TV. I didn't want this happening to Del Rio, he needed a clean victory over one of the most over guys on the roster in an exicting match, they have had chemistry in the past. It might have been a little predictable but I made it clear that Del Rio was here to stay at the top, Rey has beaten some of the best in the business during his tenture, by the way I don't see how this is much different to HBK vs. Justice in a ladder match at TLC and the majority of first pay per view defences of a new champion? Also, with Smackdown's crap, for lack of a better word, roster I needed someone (who is well over) for Del Rio to beat, and beat well before he could move on to someone else. As I wanted to continue the Rey vs. Cody feud, I wanted to do something different and to keep Cody stewing, turning darker and darker by the week as he cannot even touch the man he hates so much, it will make this rivalry more intense, better than the WWE's. Remembering that the WWE had already finished this feud by my BT time. Hope I answered your questions.

EDIT: Here are the prediction results -

Prophet: 40/70
Best: 40/70
Theo: 50/70
Jam: 40/70
GCB:40/70

Congrats to Mr.Maysock!

As I stated it was main points. Even the post above you said the review isn't full. I did say it at the very top I believe. And the predictions were rushed, I don't care for Corre vs Kofi. The under card wasn't what I was talking about. They weren't predictable, the main ones were. Extra match wasn't on my mind.

HBK vs Justice was clearly an angle within a match. After RAW I think people see the point of the match. It wasn't a man of the month title defense but rather a piece of the puzzle.

Also, with Smackdown's crap, for lack of a better word, roster I needed someone (who is well over) for Del Rio to beat, and beat well before he could move on to someone else. I get it, doesn't mean I agree. You can't please everyone, I know that feeling well. Once again it was good, but we can all approve.

Not really, I believe I picked Edge, tossed a coin to decide the winner. I'll be honest and say I wasn't really invested into the product that was coming from Smackdown in the weeks heading Extreme Rules. Nothing against you, just that nothing was drawing me in. Probably should have picked Christian but I didn't. I really only read two other projects on here, I only did the review as you gave me a TLC one. Didn't want to let you down.

Never said I didn't read it, just wasn't rushing to see what was happening in the next episode. And when I say I only read two other projects, I mean for enjoyment. I probably read everyone that post a show if they have given me a review and I want to give them one back.

Proph: 22
J4L: 33
Jam: 44
Best: 26

For anyone who cares there is the prediction results from my side of the show. Good job Jammy Jam. I owe you some more rep big guy. Looking forward to moving away from the E and starting with a clean, fresh plate.

Hey guys, just got back from where I went, and I'm ready to start my first Backlash match/read some shows. Remember to get your predictions in for Backlash!

Thanks for the comments GCB!

No problemo. Thought it was a good PPV considering the restrictions that you were working with.

On a side note, woop woop! 9000 views! Hoping Vengeance will smash the 10,000 barrier!

Working on the opening match; also, sorry if I don't get a review to you this round (mainly Jam, Proph, Peep/Theo, and Avitus) I'm having a really busy week and the next couple of weeks will be busy for me as well, but I did read all of your shows, but I'm sorry if I can't get a review in.

I know I haven't posted anything in a while, but I am working on my show. I've just been debated on whether I should go the weekly show route with a series of shows leading to a PPV or make all the shows big shows. I was originally leading toward the latter, but the more I think of it, the more I like the series.
