Bobby Lashley Injured

WWE.com reported Bobby Lashley suffered a torn rotator cuff in his Raw match with Mr. Kennedy.

It's pretty clear that was the story of the match, so either he had suffered the injury over the past week and worked the match on RAW to explain it, or it's a late angle to cover for plans changing.

Now it has been reported for months on here that Lashley has had a shoulder problem and it was ok, but maybe the injury got worse and that is why they had the storyline like they did yesterday on RAW. This could be just a work but latley when WWE has done these type of angle it means the superstar is injured so i guess we have to see what develops.

man i hope its a storyline but it looks to be an actual injury, if so i hope its not serious, despite what many think, i like lashley in ring ( i agree he sucks in pretty much everything else) but i like watching him in ring, he does some great powermoves and changes his move set up every now and then, by far the best powerhouse in the WWE atm in terms of wrestling IMO, sooo.. if there really is a injurie i hope hes back soon to kick some ass

Meh. He's on Raw now so I wasn't expecting him to get as big a push as he had been getting. He hasn't improved enough for me to be even slightly effected by this injury. No Lashley for a few months? Whatever. I really couldn't care less.

Lashley had been growing on me, mainly because i enjoy laughing at his promos... and sometimes he can entertain me when he wrestles, but i am slightly confused with the whole summerslam thing, mainly because they seem to be putting a few too many people in the title run, like including carlito, mr kennedy etc... and now with lashley not in a storyline for a bit, I am just wondering what they are gonna do with summerslam, just doesn't seem like its only going to be Orton and Cena...

With Lashley out now we can only hope that Mr.Kennedy gets a push since he beat him on RAW. And we can get back to some decent promos with him gone.

WWE has been getting a lot of injuries lately, but they push the big superstars too hard in the ring instead of just taking them out of the story until their better.

I think it might be a good thing that he will be out for awhile, while lashley is wrestling its usually the same time i have a coffe break or do what i need to do i dont think i have seen any good matches with lashley in. and maybe before he comes back he might learn some new more impressive moves and work on his mic skills cos they really need improving

This is a good thing for Lashley but I doubt the WWE will do the right thing with him when he is healthy. He still needs some fine tuning in OVW to come off as a great wrestler on the main event stage. I think it's good because finally Kennedy got some much needed respect on Raw this week with not looking so weak and taking out a main player.

Lashley is still too green for this to be a major blow to the company.

Best thing that could happen to Raw besides Cena breaking something. Maybe they can finally push Kennedy, Booker, Carlito or some other overlooked wrestlers for a while.

It's never a good thing when someone gets injured. Regardless as to who they are. I hate Cena, but if got injured I wouldn't be happy about it. Same thing gos with Lashley. I agree with what alot of you are saying. For Bobby this could be a blessing in disguise if he is injured. While he's injured he can work on charisma, and before returning to Raw fine tune himself at OVW. I would have no problem with a Lashley that can dominate in the ring and do good promos. While he's gone though I'd like to see Kennedy or Carlito get some sort of a push.

I think its a bad thing with wwe having so many people out due to injury at the moment but lashley being out could open up doors for other mid-carders to rise to the main event level. Carlito may be about to get a push with the win over cena on raw this week & this could be the reason why. They need someone to fill lashleys spot.

Former ECW Champion Bobby Lashley will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his damaged left shoulder Tuesday in Birmingham, Ala, WWE.com has learned.

WWE physician Dr. Ferdinand Rios told WWE.com that the Dominator was evaluated by Dr. Jeffery Dugas, an associate of noted orthopaedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews’, today at the Alabama Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham.

It was determined that the extensive damage suffered in Lashley’s match with Mr. Kennedy on Raw was severe enough to warrant the procedure.

“They are going to do an arthroscopic evaluation of the left shoulder, that requires a small incision for the insertion of the scope,” Rios explained. “If it’s just cartilage or something that can be repaired easily, they will do so. If it is a complete rotator cuff [tear], then they’ll probably have to open [Lashley’s] shoulder up and repair it.

The rehab time for arthroscopic surgery is usually 6 to 8 weeks, according to Rios. But the former Army sergeant could be out of action for six months if there’s more severe damage, requiring extensive reconstruction of the shoulder.

“We won’t know until [the procedure] happens,” Rios said.

So what do we think? How long will he be out for? what effect, if any, will this have on his career. If he is out for long term, this could be good for him to be re-packaged and come back possibly as a heel an go right into a program with trips(as we know he will have it in 6 month time) for title?

From what I've read he won't be back until around January. Good for Lashley to get that shoulder fixed and some time off. I think Triple H vs Lashley is bound to happen somewhere down the road if Lashley stays face and everyone should know Trips will be getting the title before the end of the year.

I wouldn't mind seeing him coming back as heel with a manager. God knows hes terrible on the mic he could use the help. Hopefully he gets a good recovery and gets back to the ring soon.

Agree with the rest, we could see a Mr. Kennedy decent push this time...
but i dont think Lashley it's going back to OVW, when he's ready, he will be feuding vs either Booker T or Triple H, that's my bet.
If he is not that injured, I guess he will be returning for Unforgiven, maybe...but if this is serious: Royal Rumble comeback and winner tells you something?

Not a fan of his but with so many big names out of service it is a loss. Hopefully it gives some of the younger talent opportunities to run with the ball that they'd normally wouldn't get.

He won't come back as a heel as he already has a built in feud with Kennedy when he returns. I hope they atleast give Kennedy a descent push before he's hand-fed to the returning "dominating" lashley.

you never know tho. if kennedy gets a push and does really well, he may be too much of a star to be fed to lashley on his return. for all we know, he could come back and feud wi cena again or McMahon

I hope whilst he's injured he fades away and everyone forgets about him.

All he is is muscle! He got his massive push way too early and hasnt improved in my eyes.

I dont rate him as a performer or on the mic so it wouldnt bother me not to see him again.

I agree. But he is improving in the ring and will get better as time goes on.

Yeah just what I thought. A return at the Rumble or sometime before. If it is indeed the Rumble. Hell he might as well be a top dog to win it. Vince has built him up so long that he may put him into the main event of Mania. Just think Lashley vs Boretista for the WHC. YIKES! hope not. 3 months is what Survivor Series? He could be making a big return to be apart of some boring Survivor Series match or getting revenge on Kennedy. Hopefully he gets a good recovery it's never good when someone gets injured.

Humm with the whole 3-5 months thing I really think that Vinnie Mac and company will hold Lashley out till the Rumble. As they see him as the future and no point in rushing back too soon. Anyways he be that surpirsie entrant or make his return just in time for the Rumble. He could win the rumble but my gut tells me that he wont and when he does come back as he is getting better in the ring still needs mic work but its gettingthere that he will feud with Kennedy leading to which i hope not but prolly will happen is Kennedy vs Lashley at WM24
