Now wait a minute. Didn't TMZ report his back injury? I doubt a work like that would go unnoticed by the site. He was seen on a wheelchair. If it is a work why would TNA actually go through the trouble of sending him to the hospital, plan his ass there for a few days and then roll him out in a wheelchair just to wave us off? A bit too dramatic, no? Even if he was operated but given a quick clearance, I doubt the hospital would allow him to stay more than he should and milk the ordeal for the sake of a storyline. It seems a lot more fishy than him not actually being too hurt. Not to mention that him and Eric being "They" is even more unlikely. Why the hell would they wanna remove themselves from power? People seem to oversee that fact and how Abyss has personally man-handled Hogan. It just seems like another bad twist of fate for TNA. Last weeks iMPACT! was taped about 3 weeks ago along with the previous 2 episodes. Maybe there was plans to have Hulk at BFG but backfired with his back getting worse. What's so hard to believe about a cripple becoming more crippled?
You're absolutely right. My dad just had pretty serious back surgery back in June at a very prestigious hospital...and he's STILL instructed that he shouldn't lift anything over 20 lbs nor twist, turn, or bend in any way. The surgeries might be entirely different (my dad had bone fused together, etc.) but the back and spine is a very serious operation altogether either way. And you not only have an orthopedic doctor giving you specific instructions but a neurologist as well.
I think that they had planned for this "swerve"...but if Hogan actually did have back surgery...I highly doubt he'll be climbing into the ring and hitting guys, let alone walking in general for a while.
But again, I don't know the extent of his injury and/or surgery...but from what I know...it just doesn't seem likely.
I do kind of like that angle though. The angle would be pretty boring if it were just happening by itself...but I really like the fact that Nash and Sting know what's going on as they've seen it first hand before. Pretty nice idea. But even that could be a swerve in the end...who knows.
