Biggest Dissapointment of WM26?

I only got to see Batista vs Cena and HBK vs Undertaker. Batista - Cena was too short (even considering that neither one of these guys can really fill a 30 minute match), and also making Batista tap out is a huge mistake. HBK - Undertaker was disappointing to me. They went for the "injury" angle too early on, and there were several botched spots. Taker didn't catch HBK when he tried the moonsault off the apron, and also HBK completely missed Taker with the moonsault off the top to the table. You can say he was "aiming" for Taker's leg, but he pretty much missed his entire body. The crowd was dead too (or poorly mic'ed at least), which made it even more boring. I did like the ending though, with the jumping tombstone, and of course HBK shouldn't be the one to end the streak. Besides that though, it was a disappointing match. It's pretty much a given in Wrestlemania that the main eventers will kick out of each others' finishing moves at least once, they need to come up with a better way to end these things.

I didn't have a problem with HHH winning because you don't always have to lose to somebody to put them over. Sheamus look strong in defeat and he is the top heel on RAW assuming Orton is going to turn face or stay tweener which I don't think is a good decision for now. I expected Christian not to win because he is one of the top three faces on RAW and I honestly expect him to get a title shot against Cena. If Christian doesn't get it first, then I expect it to be HHH.

The only thing I was disappointed with was that Rhodes did not win even though I had DiBiase winning. I can see their rationale of Orton winning because Legacy has been beating him up for weeks now and Orton had to win. Last year, Orton was the aggressor and yet he lost at WM 25. In my opinion, Rhodes is a better wrestler than DiBiase but he doesn't have the physical look DiBiase does so I thought Rhodes winning would be a huge step. Now I don't know where the future holds for Legacy. If either one of them won, I could have seen them splitting up but I don't see that now.

Beyond a doubt the Hart-McMahon match.

ONLY because they built it up to be something that it could never be....Bret had no business being in the ring if he knew from day 1 he would be that limited. I had no idea why he would agree to it...

The biggest disappointment was the entire PPV itself. From start to finish I was totally bored. There were no young guys being put over, no excitement in the matches, nothing. The matches themselves were sloppy. Every match had some sort of botch that was just embarrassing. I watched with my girlfriend who only watches wrestling with me when she wants to feel more involved in my life, and she couldn't believe I was watching this, let alone paying $55 for it. But the comment of the night from her, was "That other one is so much better". Point for TNA for being able to bring interest to non-pre-existing fans. WWE has the loyalists and the kids, but TNA has the more intriguing product. The only reason I mention TNA is because Wrestlemania is supposed to be the greatest live event of the year, and it was below even the worst TNA ppv of the year in excitement. Granted, they won't change their product as long as people continue to buy, so as of now, no more WWE PPVs for me. Not worth it.

Biggest disappointment for me I'd say although the match between Edge and Jericho was bad, would be the tag title match. build you and then Truth-Morrison lose in 3 minutes?! what was the point. They take what could be a good team and sqaush them. Why even bother putting the match on the card? It just shows that the Tag titles (much like the IC title which hasn't been defended at WM in how long) mean nothing.

The biggest Disappointment is the possiblity that we may never see HBK in a wrestling ring again. Especially after the classic himself and taker put on for us all. Of course the Hart-Mcmahon match did not live up to what we were hoping for, but everyone was warned. Bret has had stroke's, concusions, and multiple carreer threating injurys. I just wish it would have been shorter.

But the moment I was most dissapointed in was the moment Taker hugged HBK and everyone really understood this was shawns big farewell, and is supposed to be his final match. The match was soo good it was just really dissapointing, and dishearting to realize it probably is over for good.

Sheamus looked strong in defeat against one of the best the WWE has ever seen and Swagger won MITB so how weren't any of the young guys put over. In no way, shape, or form was this Wrestlemania even remotely below the worst TNA PPV of the year. The three main event matches delivered and it suffered some because the Hart/McMahon match was so boring and lasted forever. This was a better PPV than Wrestlemania 25 and better than 80% of the TNA PPV's especially the last one.

Hart vs McMahon, I knew we werent gonna get a classic or anything but we just got a slow beat down from the Hart family, I couldn't wait for for this like a tag match or something.

They should have waited to have the Bret/Vince fight when Wrestlemania returns to Canada...especially Montreal where it would have made all the sense in the world. The fans would have MADE that match.

The Bret/Vince "match" i think sucked the life out of the crowd, what little life it had. I think most fans were left wondering exactly what in the heck they were seeing...

The biggest disappointment of the evening was to have included the battle of divas on the show. What took at least 10 minutes of fighting, that would be needed for others.

I can see if some feel that Bret/McMahon was the most disappointing. However, I don't think anyone really had high expectations for the match itself. The match was little more than an excuse to watch Vince get beaten down, have Bret Hart exact a measure of "revenge" and give fans something of a happy, feel good moment. Overall, I think the mission was accomplished in my opinion. Neither man gave what could be called a stellar performance, but it's understandable given the circumstances. Vince has never been a wrestler and he's 64 years old. Bret is a multiple stroke victim in his early 50s so neither can ultimately be considered the stallions they once may have been. The good thing is that we probably won't see it again, we won't old men that are long past it being shove down our throats every week. It's looks like a page TNA needs to add to its own playbook.

However, I've gotten off topic. My biggest disappointment of the night was probably Sheamus losing to Triple H. I just feel like it was a wasted opportunity to do something really big for the career of a young, up and coming wrestler. Triple H didn't need the win, he's supposed to be leaving to take some time off to rest up and await the birth of his third child soon and Sheamus just needed it more. I just hope they can salvage this and ultimately have Sheamus be the on screen reason why Triple H has to leave for a while.

Pretty much the whole show. Glad I watched for free. Aside from the cool set and Mysterio-Punk I thought just about everything could have been better. It was a year too late on moving taker-hbk to go on last. The match suffered from the need for some reason to make people think it was not simply a retirement match. It was the best retirement match I have seen, but that is not saying much and it was an odd ending compared to the two other choices. Batista-Cena was looking to actually be better than anticipated until they proved all the people who complain about their wrestling skills right, botching basically the entire last part of the match which killed it IMO. Jericho-Edge was really uneven on the pace and while the match had moments I would have thought they would have put on a classic. Seemed like the entire night was really predictable and there were not many exciting moments.

For me, the biggest dissapointment of the night was Hart vs. McMahon. Granted I knew this match wouldn't be anything great, this was just flat out boring. The whole thing didn't even seem like a match, it seemed more like a terribly bad and long promo. There was really no substance to the match other than the Hart Dynasty beating up McMahon outside of the ring and the chair/pry bar shots from Bret. The sharpshooter didn't look good at all. The whole match was just very anti climactic.

There were quite a few things that I was personally disappointed with. The tag match sucked. I didn't want to see this match to start with, and the only good thing was the fact that it only lasted three and a half minutes. Swagger winning MITB was underwhelming, but not bad.

HHH/Sheamus was terrible. I think this match showed that Sheamus is not meant for big things in pro wrestling. The guy can't perform in a match longer than 10 minutes, not even with Triple freakin H. What happens when someday, Sheamus has to get in there with a less talented guy (if that's even possible)? I think that match showed exactly how talented Sheamus is. And I hope HHH, Vince, and company feel the same way. HHH winning was the best thing that could have happened. Hopefully Sheamus turns into the next Mike Knox.

Mysterio and Punk only getting 6:30 was a shame. These two guys could have put on a show-stealing type match...and I think that's why it was kept down. The WWE did NOT want this match to go over big time, and take away from the bigger matches.

Jericho/Edge was a disappointment as well, but I don't blame either one of them. Edge just wasn't ready, physically, for this kind of match. He is clearly still in a lot of pain, and is way, way out of shape.

I would have to agree the crowd was a bit disappointing as well, but I can't blame them. This was a BORING event. It had no charisma. Some solid matches, but the atmosphere was dead. Sure, that has everything to do with the fans, but the fans are only reacting to what is put in front of them.

Cena and Batista as better than I expected (but my expectations were really, realllllly low). And some people might think the crowd tried to ruin the match...and you would be right. Cena gets booed in big matches all of the time. I think that is a big reason why this didn't close the show. It would be a bit humiliating for the WWE to have their biggest star booed after he won in the main event at Mania.

Hart V. McMahon was un-watchable. The twist, Hart family actually being on Bret's side, was at the begining of the match!? No drama at all, just a real, real boring beat down. The Punk-Mysterio match and the MizShow-TruthMorrison match were utter wastes. The hottest young talent was tossed out in super short dull matches, presumably to give HHH and Bret time to bore us to death. TNA is where we go to watch geezers, WWE has the young talent now, get with it McMahon!!

"Cena gets booed in big matches all of the time. I think that is a big reason why this didn't close the show. It would be a bit humiliating for the WWE to have their biggest star booed after he won in the main event at Mania."
Cena posing with teh Cena haters was one of the highlights of the night, better than the match he's just wrestled fr sure!

The Biggest dissapointmnet IMO was the MITB match. This years MITB match wasn't extreme and high flying like the past MITB matches on wrestlemania. Everybody did a poor effort and no one did nothing special in that match this year. Shelton was totally erased from the match I honestly didn't see him do nothing. They were all on the floor lying around, Acting like they didn't wanted to be in the match.

I honestly don't know if WWE is just waiting until the MITB ppv to do something special, But I guess that we will just have to wait until July. I'm not saying that swagger winning the MITB match wasn't special, Trust me I was very shocked and I'm sure that I wasn't the only one.

Other than Edge not winning the World Heavyweight Title and Vickie's Frog Splash I thought Wrestlemania was a good Show. I mean what more do you people want out of Bret anyway? The man had a stroke in 2002 and I enjoyed his beatdown of Vince plus him being in the Ring again was awesome enough. I wasn't expecting a 5 Star Match but I still enjoyed it. Batista/Cena was good I thought, better than their Summerslam Match and him posing with the Haters was classic after he won the WWE Title. HBK/Taker was MOTN and already a MOTY Canidate as well, nuff said there. HHH/Sheamus was good as well and Sheamus came out looking better than when he came in. MITB was solid and who saw Jack Swagger winning it? Anyone? Legacy's Match was fun and Orton getting cheered was great, nice to do that for a change. ShowMiz vs Morrison/Truth was decent and Punk/Mysterio I liked. I thought the Phoenix Crowd was good for the most part.

This was the first Wrestlemania I have watched live since WM 19 and it will probably be the last one I watch for a long, long time. I was completely disappointed by the whole show. It was uneventful, bloated, and most of all boring! I don't know how anyone can defend this show as entertaining. I don't know how as a wrestling fan I can defend this show as anything but crap. I hated all the 10 minute montages before every match updating everyone on the feuds. It takes away from the flow of the show. That was over an hour of wasted time in montages. The wrestling was nonexistent. Who had the longest match? What was the average match time? Why don't any of the wrestlers work the crowd anymore? The three matches I paid to see were all pretty awful. Jericho-Edge, Hart-McMahon, and Undertaker-Michaels all failed to deliver in my opinion. The room of people I was watching with were almost all sleeping. I don't know how the hell the Edge-Jericho match ended up being so bad. It felt more like a first match on an episode of RAW than a title match at WRESTLE-FUCKING-MANIA! The whole show just didn't seem to have the mystique and thrill to it that most Manias in the past have created. The stadium seemed more like a morgue than a rabid wrestling crowd. The announcing on the show was just abysmal. There is no excitement in Cole, Striker, or King. Not one of those guys has got any personality left. It was like an accountant, a priest, and a insurance salesman calling the show. All throughout the show it was torture listening to these 3 clowns stumble and bumble through the matches. I was on the fence about the WWE before this, but now I will probably not watch WWE programming for a long time and I certainly will not be purchasing a WWE pay per view for many years.

R-Truth and John Morrison vs. The Miz and The Big Show
* Star. Quick match, should have been on the preshow aways

Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase vs. Cody Rhodes: Triple Threat Match
I was soooo disappointed in wwe for making Ortan Babyface and Legacy the Heel. so what could have been a great match, ended up in a Handicap match. with Orton beating them both. still decent but it could have been better though

**1/4

The Money in the Bank Match
VERY HAPPY Swagger Won. He was great as ECW Champion, but the match itself didnt live up to its potiental (well its hard when u have 10 guys in it), But Bourne, Kofi, Hardy, and Christian, saved the match. Good Job Vicne for finnally giving Swagger a push :)

**3/4

Triple H vs. Sheamus
Decnt match with some good false finishes. I liked the storyline build up to it with the whole HHH/Warrior deal. Trips i thought at least put Sheamus over a little in the match. Decent

**1/2

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk
Loved Punks Promo (Best HEEL IN WWE) Good match, People, U DONT NEED A LOT OF TIME TO HAVE A GOOD MATCH! it was a Great 10 minute match IMO. Both men did delivered.

***1/4

Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon: No Holds Barred
Personally , I HATE Bret Hart, Sorry, but I think by making the whole Hart Family involved made it a little better. but this whole think was pointless!!! the only good thing in this was the Hart Dynasty will be getting a push out of this (i hope). this storyline would have worked Like 10 years ago, but no now. WORST MATCH (shouldnt even be called a match) OF THE NIGHT

1/2*

Edge vs. Chris Jericho
this match is underrated IMO People were Pissed that Jericho won , but i think wwe is trying to establish his title run that he won 3 weeks ago, so i kind of figure He would win. a Good match with those two.

***1/2

Divas Match
Kind of figured that it was just a decision for booking a womens match on the card IMO. People HAted the Frog Splash by Vickie, Now if she were a face, it would have be a tribute to Eddie which the people in Arizona (close to Mexico)
loved it. Served its purpose but wwe can do SOOO much better with the womens divison

*1/4

John Cena vs. Batista
very similar to their match at Summerslam, a lttle better too IMO. Plus I loved The Cena Celibration with the I HATE JOHN CENA CROWD. LOL ROFL!

***1/2

The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels: Career vs. Streak
Great Start, Good Middle, Great Ending Too.
I still liked their first match a Tad bit better, But Still Great

PS HBK will be back in like 6-12 months.

I cannot BELIEVE I forgot to mention the announce team. This was one of the worst parts of the show. King is losing it, we all know that. The guy was one of the funniest announcers I had ever listened to...10-13 years ago. Cole...well, he was just Michael Cole. Boring, flat and just overall garbage.

But Matt Striker has to be the most annoying, attention-hungry jackass on WWE programming. Listen Striker, I DO NOT care about your garbage, never-was career in the ring. Sure, he's informed on wrestling moves... and that's it. His voice is terrible, no excitement whatsoever. Having him on commentary with Cole and King was even worse than listent to JUST Cole and King. I hate Matt Striker...with a passion.

I agree Matt Striker is terrible, he sounds like one of the bad announcers WWE had in the mid 90s. Hes just terrible. WWE needs some new commentators. Michael Cole was bad aswell especially when Taker locked HBK in the hellgate and he said it like 5 times.

I'm glad that I wasn't the only person here who thought this WM card was not as promising/stacked/exciting as people were making it out to be. I thought it was a very, very lackluster card.

Legacy match was a disappointment in the sense that it's disappointing that it even made the card. Not only do I not care about any of these 3 guys but I've already seen them in so many matches together that I'm completely sick of seeing them together. The match was barely watchable for me. I completely despise watching handicap matches and that is essentially what this was for a good portion of the match, and there was nobody I wanted to root for.

Bret Hart vs Vince was not very good but I didn't expect anything else so it was not necessarily a disappointment. Same thing with Sheamus/HHH

MITB, however, was the one match I was really looking forward to. The winner absolutely killed it for me. I can't stand Swagger. I'm not saying he won't become an important guy, but I'm pretty damn sure I won't ever give a crap about him (he bores me to tears). 10 guys was too much to concentrate on what was going on, for me at least. This MITB joins WM 24 & 25's matches as my least favorites. In the future I'm not going to be looking forward to this match any longer

The most disappointing part of this WM was the entire event itself, in my opinion this was the worst WM of the 21st century. I went into it with relatively low expectations because the card wasn't that great to begin with. I mainly bought to see Hart/McMahon and that was certainly not worth the price of admission. I didn't expect anything great but I think the whole thing was poorly booked and contrived, and they should have waited on turning the Hart family against McMahon. However, the last minute was great, we got to see Bret Hart lock the sharpshooter on McMahon after 13 years. The rest of the matches were lackluster at best, and the crowd was dead, but there was little or nothing to get them hyped up, so who can blame them. Probably the worst money in the bank I've seen, very little going on, and so many people running around you couldn't tell who was who.

Sheamus has no business being in the ring at WM, that match just plain sucked. Basically it was $55 and 4 hours of my life wasted, the only high spot of the night was HBK/Taker, those two pulled out all the stops yet again, and I think the match was booked well.

All in all, this WM reminded me why I'm now a TNA fan, I can honestly say I have purchased my last WM.

To be honest I really was expecting Hart vs McMahon to be a little more entertaining than the bore-fest that they brawled. Bret Hart is a man among men in the WWE no doubt about it, and I know he's had strokes and what not, but couldn't they have made that match a LITTLE more interesting?
