Beth Phoenix's Next Challenger?

Let's face it, the diva division has gone clusterf**k since trish, lita, mickie, victoria & michelle left the company but since NOC of last year, the diva division has been at it's complete worst & now, they resort to a 'fart' noise for Natalya which is disrespectful since they are team with 'Be A Star'.

However, my point is that since the Beth vs Eve feud, (Which was Survivor Series of last year) their hasn't been a main challenger for the title.

My question to you all is, with Layla being rumoured to return and take the title from Beth and even Natalya turning face and taking it from Beth to even waiting until Kharma returns and defeats Beth for the belt, who will be the next challenger for the title?

My guess will be Layla, as she is clear and rumored to return in the next few weeks, i'm saying her and then the Bella Twins will take it from her and then when Kharma returns, we will have Kharma vs Bella Twins (Which was what Kharma wanted, she said "When I come back, I hope you two are still here").

I forgot about Layla tahts right she is due to return very soon!! Layla and beth i feel could both have a great feud!! Kharma is the obvious answer and later on that feud has to happen!! But for now Layla will feud with Beth i hope should be good!!

My bet is on Tamina. After her recent rise and feud with Natalya, it seems logical to see her in the title picture against Beth. It would be a huge waste if she disappeared after all this without a title shot.
Layla is also a good pick. She seemed to be the next champion before her injury. A return and immediate push seems legit too.
Than again, it's the WWE Divas division, Aksana will probably get a title shot before anyone I predict.

That's a tough one. A lot of people think Layla will be the next one to challenge Beth, but the last I heard is that she won't be back until WrestleMania. No one knows when Kharma is slated to return, especially since I have not heard any reports of her giving birth yet. Nattie has beaten down so much lately that no one would believe her beating Beth without some serious rebuilding.

The Divas division is in bad shape, but this isn't the worst it's been. The worst was the spring/summer of 2005, when the ONLY decent female wrestler they had was Victoria (Trish was out with a herniated disc in her back, Molly Holly quit and Lita tore her ACL, followed by her love triangle with Edge and Matt going public and her becoming Edge's valet). Add to this the 2005 Diva Search, which was so bad it got its own write-up on WrestleCrap and produced Ashley Massaro, a woman who was very popular but described as "a danger to herself and others in the ring". The division began to recover that fall when Trish returned from her injury, followed by the introduction of Mickie James.

Hmm, well as Im writing this, the Divas just had a pretty decent 8 woman tag on the Royal Rumble PPV. I thought they came up with a great idea in the Divas of Destruction last year, but of course the executioin of it has been lousy. I had always assumed that eventually Beth and Nattie would split and end up facing off at WM28 for the title. I think that could be a great match. However, lately we hardly ever see them together and Nattie has been jobbing to everyone in mere moment. Late last year It seemed that Alicia Fox was being positioned to be the next challenger after Eve, but I think the lack of fan support for her pretty much ended that before it ever got started. I think now they are testing the waters with Tamina and I think she and Beth could have a decent match. I also think Layla will make her return and challenge beth as well, but I don't know if she will be the one to finally take the title. I can't see Kharma returning anytime soon, I think June or July seems likely. I really want a Beth vs Nattie feud as I think they could actually deliver some really good physical matches but I have feeling we are going to see Tamina or Layla as the next serious contender.

Yeah I agree......with Tom Boy....I think Beth and Kharma at WM this year is the plan. Hopefully her return wasn't just a quick one and now she'll disappear again for another couple of months. The Divas division has certainly lost a huge edge without her.

Considering how bipolar the WWE seems to be when it comes to pushing its Women's and Tag Team division, we never really know whose going to be pushed. Layla, Tamina and Kharma all make great choices to put in the ring against Beth Phoenix. If they really give a shit, they can try and salvage Natalya and put them in a program. Another idea I see is if the WWE brings back Trish Stratus and have feud going into WrestleMania.

All feuds and alliances among the divas are short in duration (as are their championship reigns), but I'd still rather see a program between Beth and Natalya. They are the best technical wrestlers in the women's division and matches between the two of them would be fun to watch. Neither one looks as if she'll shatter from a hard bump, which sure can't be said for most of the others. (I still cringe when I see Alicia's scrawny body hit the canvas)

When Kharma made her exit last Spring, I was sure a Beth-Natalya feud was going to be on tap, yet the company immediately set the two up as allies, as they've been ever since. As far as I'm concerned, Creative missed the boat on that one.

The manner in which Beth finished the match last night suggests that something new is in store for her; although with the divas, you never really know. The way she hit Brie Bella from behind to tag herself in indicates that something's brewing. I hope she winds up at odds with Natalya; I would look forward to seeing them duke it out.

It will mostly like be Kharma now she has returned. I wish they still had the womens belt though as I can't really see Kharma with the divas belt.

Karma. I hope the two of them face each other at WM. This would be a great match and since Karma made an appearance at the Royal Rumble i'm exoecting her to return before WM to begin a feud with Beth Pheonix. This is probably the only match i want to see from the Diva's Division and if the two do feud i hope the WWE creative put a lot of effort into it and its not just a regular 2 minute Diva match.

If Beth wants to make an real impact in wrestling, i'm proposed an match against cody rhodes for the intercontinental championship like Chyna makes when she battles against Jeff Jarett.
She has participated at the royal rumble in 2010 and it's time to her for change his career for good.

I sincerely hope Kharma doesn't feel the need to return as soon as possible for us wrestling fans. She's been gone an awful short time to return full-on so quickly. I certainly wouldn't blame her if she decided to stay home with her husband and baby and actually miss Wrestlemania; it's completely understandable. While I would love her to return now, she doesn't need to. The WWE can get around her not being able to compete at Wrestlemania; all it takes is some damn ambition towards the diva's division. Let Kharma sit this one out.

This. Very much this. While I certainly think Kharma would be the first selection for Beth's next title defense, the WWE seems ready to launch Natalya in her position if she's unable to wrestle anytime soon. With the way their short match ended on Friday, Beth seems to be seeing Natalya as a complete joke. If Kharma sits this one out, why not go to the best next thing in Natalya. The two are arguably the best women’s wrestlers the WWE currently holds under contacts (of course with the exception of Kharma); they'll eventually utilize that.

Another potential candidate is Layla; my favorite Diva in the WWE. The only problem here is that I question just how over she will be upon her return. LayCool seems like an awful long time ago and I'm sure most of the WWE fans will feel the same way. But who knows, she could return as a face and potentially take the title away from Beth Phoenix at anytime. She’s due back any day now…

After watching last nights raw it appears tamina is being pushed as beth's next challenger they (wwe) made a point to mention beth's dominance and lack of competition and beth seemed impressed with tamina's victory so it's likely we will see beth vs tamina at elimination chamber. I don't see tamina taking away the title just yet as I see beth winning and continually bragging about beating all comers in the divisio then move on to wrestle kharma at wrestlemania.

An alternative to kharma would be natalya stepping up and telling beth shes never beat her in 1 on 1 competition. Thiswould lead to beth making jokes about natalyas farting gimmick and then eventually leading to a mathc between the two. But back to kharma if she return in time for wrestlemaniaand fights beth,
Kharma will likely win that bout if it happens and then I can see layla returning for vengeance on kharma for further injuring her leg. Layla vs kharma would be the womens division equivalent of rey mysterio vs undertaker. A true underdog story with tiny little layla against the massive kharma. After all WWE is always good for an underdog story.

I would love to see BP vs Kharma at WM. Those are two women who know how to wrestle and can get a crowd reaction for something other than showing some skin. Also, I would like that match to be longer than 3-4 minutes. They deserve better than that; women or not.

Layla should be returning any day. She's a former women's champion and one of the more interesting Diva's that has been utilized over the past few years.

Kharma made her return at the Rumble, but hasn't been seen since. She could pop up at any point and challenge for the title.

Michelle McCool could also make her return at any point since the Undertaker is back on TV, she should soon return to TV.

I'm kind of on my toes to see what's going to happen with tamina and Beth. Their stare down this past Monday was all smiles. Not sure if it was a sign that tamina is coming after Beth and Beth is telling her to bring it. Or if they will end up teaming and taking out Natalya???
Either way it will probably be either tamina or Natalya at EC. With Beth retaining. Then setting up a triple threat at MANIA with all 3 girls. They really need to start building the division around these 3 cause they will be Kharmas only competition.

Unfortunately it looks like Tamina might be Beth's next challenger. It should be a quick filler feud though to round out the Elimination Chamber card. Beth will obviously retain then move on to either Kharma or Natalya now that it's Wrestlemania season. Layla's return has to be coming soon too, so I would not mind seeing a fatal fourway between the four divas. As long as Tamina loses in the upcoming feud, I'll be happy, because she's probably the last diva I'd want to see pushed. WWE can do so much better and it's a miracle she's even still on the roster.

The best option would be Beth VS Natalya. Granted Kharma is back now, and she does deserve her shot. Natalya VS Beth is the best match I can think of in terms of the overall skill of both girls as well as the history the two of them have, it's perfect for a Wrestlemania feud if WWE decide to turn Nartalya face to feud with Beth. She's stuck in an awful gimmick right now that hopefully will be done away with. Kharma VS Beth would be great too. Wrestlemania deserves the best possible Divas Championship match and that means divas who lack having decent in-ring ability should be kept as far away from the belt as possible.

I could talk about what I want to happen. By the way, that plan doesn't involve Kharma. It involves a returning Team Laycool. But what I want is besides the point. What we're getting seems to be Beth Phoenix vs. Tamina. And that could be awesome.

Tamina has the potential to be big. Well, big for a Diva. She's got a strong gimmick, adequate mic skills and a definite charm which the fans could really get into. Plus, she can wrestle well - and not just because her father is Jimmy Snuka. Remember Sim Snuka? Yeah. But Tamina, she's good. With new theme music, different attire and being put over by the announcers, she also appears to have the full weight of the WWE machine behind her. A push like this is pretty rare for a Diva.

My guess is that Tamina seems to be a lock for Beth's next challenger. It does look like WWE is teasing dissension in the ranks in regards to Beth and Natalya though. I'm guessing that Beth and Tamina will eventually have their title bout (presumably at Elimination Chamber) so depending on how that turns out, we may have ourselves Beth and Natalya facing off at Wrestlemania or a multi-woman title match. Although I'm not sure whether or not WWE is gonna pull the trigger on thrusting Natalya into the title scene especially with this weird farting gimmick they've stuck her with.

I definetly feel they're heading into a 3 way feud between tamina Beth and Natalya for WM. I think tamina will challenge Beth at EC PPV have Natalya interfere and getting Beth DQ'd upsetting Beth and making it into a triple threat match for mania! Maybe because they've been focusing on the whole Zack Ryder scenario for Eve, while also trying to keep her as the Number one contender... or at least to my knowledge she is...

I'm going to throw a wrench into your plans and suggest that Tamina will become the next challenger, and most likely will even win the Diva's title. Let's face it, Tamina's got everything WWE needs to classify a diva. She's smart, she's beautiful, and she can go in the ring. She's finally been put into a spot where she can shine on her own instead being drifted into heel and face with these nonsensical diva factions that pop every where for no explained reasoning.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Michelle McCool were to return to WWE. To be honest, I don't even know why she "retired"... she hadn't really done anything worth retiring on before hand, so what was the point... like really. I think McCool should come and have a nice run with Kharma or Beth Phoenix instead of waiting for Taker to give her her next orders.

I wouldn't hold your breath on something said almost a year ago. Let's face it, Kharma most likely will pick up where she left off and that's stalking the hell out of Kelly Kelly so she can get that "College Experiment" she missed out on. Plus, Bellas don't seem to be in WWE's good graces, which to me is quite disappointing. I found Bellas to be the nice heel duo since LayCool was taken out of the picture, but then again, that should come natural since they're twins.
