Best and Worst Theme Music

Ok This is going to be a 3 part question:

1. Whose theme music do you like best that wrestles right now? Please keep all favorite character biases aside, strictly whose music do you like or get pumped up to when it hits?

2. Worst Music?

3. Best theme music of all time?

For me, the first question I would say Mark Henry. It fits his new persona really well and I just love the theme. I also like Zach Ryders a lot.

Part 2. Definitely John Cena. ::mimick the rock's impersonation of it:: His first gangster theme was awesome, but his new one is just awful.

Part 3. Hard to choose. Rock and Austin probably had the best entrances, but going with the music I would say Triple H's old theme. Where it goes "Want Some" in the beginning (I think it's Stephanie's music now). But that is awesome and everytime I hear it I get pumped up. I remember back in the day you'd be like oohhh shittt here we go when that came on!

Hmm let's see, since this is all subjective...

Best - Jack Swaggers. Heck i'd almost go buy the song, it's pretty cool!

Worst - Rey Mysterio's. pretty bland and based towards a lot younger audience than I am!!

Best of all time? Tricky one, kinda always popped for DX's tune. Austin's was ok, the start was immense, but for a song which carries on being awesome, i'll stick with DX's theme

They update music so often that it seems that the bad music gets updated. I agree with someone else that I don't like Rey Mysterios that much I prefered his original

Hulk Hogan's - I was in my youth during that period and really liked it

Current best? Probably Dolph Ziggler or Cody Rhodes new remixed versions are both pretty cool.

Worst (I assume you mean currently)? Kelly Kelly's theme is pretty damn annoying I'd say.

All time best? Nearly impossible to answer, because I like so many for different reasons, off the top of my head some really great ones: Goldust, Hakushi, Gangrel/Brood, Ted DiBiase (senior), Jeff Hardy (Another Me-TNA theme), there's countless others but those came to mind at the moment.

Best Current- Kevin Nash, the nWo theme takes two spots as it is the best of all time IMO

Worst- I dont like dolph zigglers music, rubs me the wrong way

Best: CM Punk - I have loved the song since Living Colour put it out.

Worst: It's pretty much a toss up between Yoshi Tatsu and all the divas (except Beth)

All time: The Ultimate Warrior without a doubt. Still to this day every time I hear I want to run around and clothesline people and yell incoherently.

I have always thought music is one of the most important par of facilitating a characters gimmick, so some of these are on my lists because of that,and others because they are just cool

Best-
Cody Rhodes- The remixed version to facilitate is Dr.Doom-esque character is perfect. It really is just a cool song too.
Zack Ryder- Ryder loves boy bands, and this fits him well. Its nostalgic and current all at the same time.
CM Punk- This ones easy, great song and not only that it fits his personality well(and a good throwback to his ROH days)
R-Truth- I love the no music, fits his character very well
Colt Cabana- BOOM! BOOM! COLT CABANA! BOOM! BOOM!...Amazing entrance even at little Indy shows, when he was doing it for the HD Net tapings it made it feel like a big money entrance.
Bob Sapp (NOAH)- Go to Youtube and listen to it now....HILARIOUS
Beer Money- "Sorry Bout Your Damn Luck" so awesome

Worst
Rey Mysterio- I don't know if its the fact that the theme is just overdone or that it just sucks.
Any Diva Music- Its either really badly done club music or reject music from Lilith Fair
Randy Orton I don't think it fits the gimmick anymore. Or maybe that i just hate the whole "Voices in my head" thing that Cole says all the time when he is about to line up an RKO.
RVD(TNA)First of all Pantera's "Walk" is a shitty song(Not saying Pantera sucked, but that song really sucked) and his new song is just trying to capture the magic that "Walk" did in ECW....and is generic....and horrid...

All Time Best:
Kurt AngleWorked when he was a face (chanting ANGLE) or heel (Chanting YOU SUCK)
Steve Austin The glass breaking was all that made this special, and it worked.
Bryan Danielson- C'mon it was "The Final Countdown" the whole crowd would sing along, it was so ridiculous that it was awesome
Hulk Hogan(WCW/NWO/WWE(F)) You can't go wrong with "Voodoo Child"
New Jack Not so much that the music was good, but that it played throughout the whole match, I always thought that was really interesting and should be used more

epic entrance music, still love that song to this day.
Edge gets an honorable mention for his 'on this day' or whatever it's called.

Best right now?- Probably Mark Henry's, as someone else said it fits him so well. i crack up when i hear 'somebody's gonna get their ass kicked'

worst right now?- I'm gonna say Cena's, just because he's had it for so long it is old and i have heard it too much.

Best right now..

As far as fitting the character goes well Mark Henrys music is very fitting. Just describes his whole attitude and what's going to happen when he gets in the ring. Cody Rhodes current theme song also goes well with his whole persona...very fitting like Henrys. I have always liked Goldusts theme music and assuming he will return as an active member of the roster when he is fully fit I will add his song to my list. The Undertakers music and theatrics that go with it are always very effective (not including Johnny Cash because not sure that will be his music when he returns..doubt that very much).

Worst at the moment...

I hate to go along with the crowd but I also am not a fan of Cenas or Reys current theme songs. I am being slightly biased seeing as I don't like either wrestler and I guess if you want to be picky the songs suit both superstars...just a bit boring really. I would not put Ortons in the worst list... it is not the best but it is not too bad in my view.

Best ever...

Like I said most of The Undertakers theme songs and all the dimmed lights, smoke and what not that go with them have always been great. I really liked his funeral march era..especially at Summerslam 1992 when he came out on a hearst. The Brood for the same reason as Undertakers... along with all the theatrics and red lights it was always very effective. DX had great sosng that summed them up and Austins with the glass smashing was genius...when you heard the smash you knew what was about to happen. Hulk Hogans usage of Real American... Cactus Jack... I liked My Time as Triple H's theme song and obviously Motorheads The Game theme is great.

Best right now: CM Punk's Cult of Personality. I am not a huge rock or pop fan, I like mostly rap music, but this song is so sick. It sounds like something you can play on Guitar hero. I also believe that the song was on Grand Theft Auto San andreas too.

Worst right now: Dolph Ziggler's current song. I was a fan of his one prior to this one. This one sucks to me.

All time best: Undertaker's Rollin.

1. John Cena and CM Punk. The brass horns to start Cena's are amazing and get the crowd fired up right away. The beat is really catchy and it's just a song that makes you smile when you think of Cena and all the success he's had. Punk's is a perfect fit for his character, establishing him as a "leader" for those who can't speak up or stand up to WWE management. Again, the intro is great and lets you know exactly who's coming out, and it has some of the best lyrics of any song ever used in WWE.

2. Billy and Chuck's. Just awful. Just as bad when Santino started using it. Horrible song, horrible lyrics, doesn't sound like anything that anybody should be listening to. The kind of song that just makes you cringe and want to go take a bathroom break.

3. Besides Cena and Punk, I would say Eddie Guerrero's, Stone Cold's, and all of Rock's. Just great songs, great themes, ones that you knew exactly who was coming out, and have become iconic in defining that superstar over the generations in which he wrestled. Some of them had various variations, but they all had the same base, and that's what made them so special.

id say the best right now would have to be Punk's or McIntyre's i love there themes on the TNA side of things id say MCMG have a pretty badass theme.

for the worst theme hmm this is a tough one theres a few themes right now in wwe that annoy me but id have to say the person who really needs to get a new theme and probably a new gimmick as well would be John Morrison his theme is catchy but not in a good way it gets annoying fast

best theme of all-time: hmmm king of kings and the game for triple h were badass but ill go with Sexy Boy aka HBK's theme whenever i heard it i got pumped up and knew i was in for some very entertaining stuff! plus when that music hit when he returned and attacked randy orton i marked out like a bitch i was so pumped he was back but there has been plently of amazing themes over the years

That's funny, because Cult of Personality IS in Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero 3 to be exact.

My favorite theme right now? It has to be Cult of Personality as well. It just fits Punk's character so well and his Titantron that goes with it is so perfect.

Worst right now: Kelly Kelly's song is awful, annoying and heard two or three times a week. Fix it.

Primo's is probably one of the worst ever, but he barely ever wrestles anymore so at least I don't have to hear it as much.

Favorite of all time? That's tough, but off the top of my head, probably Jericho's Y2J theme. Mainly because every time I hear it to this day, it takes me back to his incredible debut. The countdown, the dimmed lights, the pyro and finally Jericho! All with the song blaring in the background that fits him so well. Gotta love it!

My favorite theme now is Cult of Personality. It's a good song, but I really like the lyrics. They fit Punk extremely well, but they're also just badass in general.

I think the worst theme is Swagger's. I just find him hard to take seriously with that music...I think he can use something edgier/harder.

My favorite of all-time? Tough to answer, but I'll say the nWo. Other favorites are Austin, Hollywood Rock, the Nation when Rock was leader, and Evolution.

 

[Tree Of Woe]

My favorite theme now is Mark Henery's. Three 6 Mafia is great and it fits him well. I also like Alberto Del Rio's a lot.

I would say Kelly Kelly has the worst theme, although it seems kind of fitting for her.

My all time favorite is the nWo theme.

Best Currently has to go to Alex Riley...awesome opening few seconds! If he reaches the top, that opening riff and the 'say it to my face!!!!!!!' could be his breaking glass or his 'If yaaaaaaaa smellllll...'

Worst at the moment i think has to go to Kane for me...Slow Chemical was awesome and really fit his character and the time it was used in and his original theme is just really spooky and just screams attitude but his current theme, although it fits the character and is probably spooky to some, just sucks when you compare it to those two previous themes.

Best of all time?? Without doubt...HBK!!! From 1992-1997 it fit his character perfectly...2002-2010 it always made me smile when i heard it and I always knew, as cheesy as it was to see this 40+ guy coming to the ring with this song, that a great match was coming!

Triple H - Motorhead brings it hard on the Game. Its been one of the best themes and its fitting for Triple H

Most of the Diva's themes are trash, excluding Maryse. Then the garbage band generic rock songs that most stars debut with are usually garbage. Wade Barretts music is trash, so was the Corre's music, /vomit

3. Best theme music of all time
Real American.

Worst theme of all time is Andre the giant's no theme haha, no it's probably doink the clown's

Best theme(s) of all times are Macho man's WWF theme (For me it was allways very emotional when his song pops up and it still is to this day when I hear it and I was allways hoping I would one day hear his music again in the wwe.... but saddly that never happened!), ultimate warrior WWF theme (just awesome!), Demolition (here comes the ax and here comes the smasher.... really great!), Goldberg (WCW), NWO Wolfpack and Sandman's enter the sandman (ECW)

1. Whose theme music do you like best that wrestles right now?
--I have to agree with the masses and say that Cult of Personality is tops right now. Unfortunately, I can't count that one because it was a real song first. As for songs that are JUST wrestling themes, I have to go with Zack Ryder's theme. I loved it when he would fight Christian back in WWECW and I'd hear those themes back to back

2. Worst Music?
--I'm going to stay current with this one because the list of bad old school themes could go on for fuckin weeks. I 've gotta go with Sheamus on this one. As much as I like him, his entrance theme sucks. There's no opeining flourish or hook to grab the audience's attention. It just goes into a lame generic rock song. He needs something more stereotypical. Not quite Finlay and Hornswaggle, but something ripped off of Dropkick Murphy's or some other Boston based Irish rock band.

3. Best theme music of all time?
--Obviously the classics, Flair's 2001: A Space Odyssey and Savage's Pomp and Circumstance. But of course they fall into the same category as Cult of Personality. They don't count. My all time favorite theme is The Undertaker's theme from when he was feuding with Austin, Ministry. I still have a copy of "WWE, The Music, Vol. 4" in my car solely because of this song.

Kelly Kelly, I just hate most things about her, and the Mandy More pop crap she comes out too sets my nerves on edge.
