Batista Winning 2 Royal Rumbles....

Batista shouldn't have won 2 Royal Rumble events. I did end up predicting he would win it back during the discussion leading up to the event. I didn't necessarily WANT him to win it at the time, that's just what I thought would happen based on the participants in the match and his return taking place when it did. He honestly didn't deserve this win. I'm not saying that based off Daniel Bryan fandom or anything of the sort. I'm saying it based off the fact that the only other multi time Royal Rumble winners are far superior wrestlers than Batista. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and John Cena are all way further up than Batista. They deserved multiple Rumble victories while Batista did not. Yes, to the haters, even Cena deserved it. So, yes, I do think it was a bit of an insult to the legends and to Cena that Batista got this win.

Even if we look beyond the issue of Batista not deserving this win, it was WAY too predictable. Bryan should have been put in the match and won it, even Reigns winning would have prevented the ending to that PPV which the majority disagreed with. It's all in the past now he won whether he deserved it or not. All WWE can do at this point (regardless of what happens at Wrestlemania) is make sure only those who truly deserve it win more than one Royal Rumble match. The only people at this time who could potentially get a second win that they deserve are either at part time status now or have yet to win their first.

Problem now is Dagger, that even if WWE try to make sure the guy who deserves the Rumble win, does win it Multiple times if he is over big time....Batista's name will always stick out like an eyesore forever like a blemish on an achievement that could have been kept for the elite.

Is Batista as big as the other men on the list. Not at all! Atleast in my eyes he isn't. But is it a horrible thing that he has two rumble wins? Or a slap in the face to those men? Eh, Not Really. Its Like when you compare the amount of times people win world titles. Sometimes a lesser performer has the same if not more world title reigns as someone bigger. For example Sting held the World Heavyweight Title six times. Booker T, if you add WWE and WCW, also has six. But is Booker T as big of an Icon as Sting, Um No. Or when you think that David Arquette won the World Heavyweight Title. Is he bigger then some of the greats to never win the title. Absolutley not! No way in Hell is he! When you look at it on paper you may stop and just go :wtf: , but if you know anything about wrestling you'll know that Curt Henning was light years better then the star of Ready To Rumble. Numbers are something, but sure as hell not everything.

Indeed. I get your point, but I have to say that World title changes happen fairly often but the Royal Rumble happens once per yr.

It was one of those records that could have been spared and kept for genuine elite in the WWE, lMO.

What should THAT matter? Remember, the list of Royal Rumble winners, let alone the REPEAT winners, include the likes of Mr. McMahon. Title/Achievement Integrity in a Scripted sport went out the window a long time ago.

Point taken.

But this particaular record WAS one which had been legit afforded only to Elite level Superstars in the WWE, unlike the Royal Rumble winners one.
