Batista shouldn't have won 2 Royal Rumble events. I did end up predicting he would win it back during the discussion leading up to the event. I didn't necessarily WANT him to win it at the time, that's just what I thought would happen based on the participants in the match and his return taking place when it did. He honestly didn't deserve this win. I'm not saying that based off Daniel Bryan fandom or anything of the sort. I'm saying it based off the fact that the only other multi time Royal Rumble winners are far superior wrestlers than Batista. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and John Cena are all way further up than Batista. They deserved multiple Rumble victories while Batista did not. Yes, to the haters, even Cena deserved it. So, yes, I do think it was a bit of an insult to the legends and to Cena that Batista got this win.
Even if we look beyond the issue of Batista not deserving this win, it was WAY too predictable. Bryan should have been put in the match and won it, even Reigns winning would have prevented the ending to that PPV which the majority disagreed with. It's all in the past now he won whether he deserved it or not. All WWE can do at this point (regardless of what happens at Wrestlemania) is make sure only those who truly deserve it win more than one Royal Rumble match. The only people at this time who could potentially get a second win that they deserve are either at part time status now or have yet to win their first.
