BAD angles with silver lightning/good moments?

Getting Noticed By Management
So the question is easy, what is that angle that you thought was bad or everyone though was bad but contained a moment you jus loved?
Ill give the example.... The alliance angle, now me personally thought the angle was just ok but a let down of what should have been one of the greatest if nmot the greatest storyline of all times, but for me the final match at SS was perfect. When the rock finally pinned austin and the WWF survived and the alliance was put out of business I got lost in the moment and marked out like crazy because MY company just survived and was overwhelmed!
So what's yours?

Ironically one that pops in my head immediately is the same storyline with the WWE vs. Alliance invasion, however my favorite spot differs from yours. For a couple of weeks the WWE universe and WWE wrestlers wondered if the "heel" Austin was going to defend his company that he has worked for and became a legend in against the Alliance. Austin was sitting at a bar and later in the show the Alliance was taking it to the WWE pretty good. Filled with Alliance members destroying WWE, you see Steve Austins truck pull up and he starts beating people with a pool stick. Meanwhile in the ring the WWE superstars are still being punished and a loud "Austin, Austin, Austin" chant breaks out...moments later the glass breaks and the fans go crazy and JR gets pumped up "Its Stone Cold, its Stone Cold..."oh and he's walkin, oh he is talkin" Austin gets in the ring and proceeds to stun almost every Alliance member. I marked out pretty good for this.(However I knew he was going to turn heel at that next PPV, which he did)

But this definitely was a special moment in a not so special storyline.

for me, it was the Survivor Series PPV in Boston a few years ago. The title match on Smackdown was set to be Triple H (champ) v. Vladimir Kozlov (in his push) v. Jeff Hardy. Jeff was then "attacked" before the PPV, we all hoped Christian and it ended up being Matt Hardy. So the PPV match was for most of the match Triple H v. Kozlov. My friend said it best: "i can't believe i'm booing a Triple H match". the match was horrible. And then Vickie Guerrero, Smackdown GM, comes out. And announces "HE'S HERE! HE'S HERE!" and a returning Edge comes out and I mark out even though he was a heel and I had heard rumors earlier in the day that Edge was spotted in Boston that weekend so I half expected it.

It was a horrible match on a horrible PPV but for one moment, it was epic.

Hilarious, The Alliance vs Team WWF in SS 2001 was the first thing that came to mind before I found out you used it.

I choose this because the feud was absolutely shit, their was so much swerves, and I thought WWF was going down the same direction as WCW with that shit storyline. But honestly, if your gonna end a big crappy feud, end it with a FANTASTIC match, just so people can say, I'm glad it ended for 2 reasons. We got a great match out of it, and the feud was finally over!!!

I am aghast...I always thought it was silver "lining".

I guess Im a muckin foron.

Well the word "I'm" needs and apostrophe and when you end a sentence in quotations, you put the punctuation mark within the quotation marks. I guess you were right, huh?

Anywho, the first thing that comes to mind for me is the Katie Vick angle.. Yeah I know it was complete shit and the way it ended up was flat out ******ed. But seeing Kane get unmasked? Although it probably wasn't the best move, it is certainly something that will live on forever.

This might be reaching, but the one that comes to mind was in 1996 in WCW. DDP was starting to get a push, as he had some sort of "financial benifcator" backing him up for some reason, and because of this, he was starting to win. Along the way DDP won (the last) Battlebowl and was going to reveal his benefactor........................then the story ended. In typical WCW fashion, the story just magically dissapeard.

It was a terrible set up (I can't remember WHY he needed a benefactor) and the fact that at the time, DDP was a manager turned mid-carder, and was going no where made it even worse.

But the speculation was, the benefactor was going to be the recently, fired by Steve Austin millionare, Ted Dibiase. I suppose that Dibiase had other things to do......of course since this was WCW in mid-96, that OTHER thing Dibiase had to do was becoming the financial benefactor of the soon to debut nWo.

Pretty good substitution for a terrible storyline that went nowhere.

Rick Flair's lose and retire angle, seeing saggy old man Flair pick up wins over guys like Umaga and. . . . some other people was pretty shit. Then building up with a match with HBK at WrestleMania, which was also crap, which it was obvious Flair was going to lose, and then all that "just do it" and "I am sorry, I love you" bollocks, I honestly thought I was going to puke. Then Ric Flair crying AGAIN!! when everyone just stands around and looks at him because he got beaten up and now he's leaving.

The silver lining? I am sure you've guessed by now. Flair retiring as an in ring competitor in the WWE, one or two appearances later and he's fucked off to TNA. How glorious.
