Goldberg and Triple H were the focus of Raw in 2003 at that point, followed by Bischoff and Austin. Shawn Michaels' involvement with Orton, or any of those guys, was also on equal footing or over Kane-Shane (in the case of Shawn being involved with Bisch, Goldberg, etc.) Kane was in a big story, but the Shane stuff kept him an afterthought.
I can't believe the notion of Kane being a serious threat for most storylines not related to anything involving Undertaker is taken seriously. People have only given Kane the time of day because of the wild pyro and relation to Taker's supernatural gimmick. And I feel like one of the only ones able to look past the sloppy flying-clotheslines and see it.
