Backlash: Ricky Steamboat vs. Chris Jericho

The problem is rusty, it looks to be one of the best matches on the card, which doesn't say very much about Backlash. Outside of LMS and the I Quit match, there really isn't anything on the card where you know you'll get all you can out of both participants, this is one of those matches.

This is the match taht should ahve happened at Wrestlemania, yet I feel the WWE doesn't feel Steamboat was a big enough name to be billed with Jericho, which I agree with. This is a good match to have on a pay per view like Backlash. I'd imagine that Steamboat is going to steal the show again tonight, but this should be the alst go for these two. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see a rollup steamboat victory in this one.

About what anyone could have expected. Pretty decent, fun match, solid if anything. A little much laying around for my tastes, but still not a total bore fest, with a few fun spots here and there. The guy who won, should have won. I feel it shouldve been a bit more convincingly, and with a little more ruthlessness, but ah well.

Grade: C+

I thought it went fine. I wouldn't want to see Steamboat brutalized in his last match, hes a good wrestler and guy. I thought he was going win when his foot went on the rope, but it ended well, they both look good in the end.

The match confirmed what I already thought, that being that it was good to see Steamboat at Mania & Raw. But to have him in a third match and have him tap out made him look like just another old timer who doesn't have it anymore.
