Austin Aries Grew His Hair?

Uncle Sam

Rear Naked Bloke
I only just found out. I'm sorry, but even I don't have the time on my hands to keep up with Ring Of Honor - it's much to hard to follow. Guess that's why you don't get many casual ROH fans.

Still, Austin Aries would have been awesome in TNA.

Austin would have been awesome is he would have taken his shot more seriously. Both he and Roderick Strong got a chance. Both of them blew it, Aries got a second chance. His attitude didn't improve. Some people are made for the big times, others are not. Austin Aries/Star was not made for the big times, no matter how good his skills and look are.

But it's such a damn good look. He'd get a Kaz-like push if his attitude had improved. As such, I curse the day he requested his release.

They were on a match only deal with TNA at the time. They were working more for ROH. They were booked for a show. Why would they not show up for the company that was paying most of their wages?

From what I hear his attitude was fine. He's just opinionated. Management in most companies don't like it if you point out that their ideas are stupid. Which if you remember what he was involved in at the time, were very stupid.

It's called making the transition from a company without a tv deal to a company on the verge of being the number two company in the business. What the ratio of former ROH wrestlers that WWE has signed compared to former TNA wrestlers? It's all about playing the game and getting seen til it pays off big time for you. Plain and simple.

If you are a veteran who has been with a company for a while or a hot rookie cash cow, then you can speak your mind and it won't cost you. But if you are a newbie who jerks curtains, you keep you mouth closed. Fuck, even if you work at McDonalds and are the new guy, you keep your mouth closed. If you work for a Fortune 500 company and are the new guy and haven't proven yourself, then you keep your mouth closed. Austin Aries had yet to prove jack. He was new and was still getting to know his surroundings. He should have kept his mouth closed. He messed up his chance and may never get another. It's no sweat off of TNA's back.

I don't think Aries cares if he gets another shot or not, he likes where he's at in ROH, and makes decent money, granted not as much as he would in TNA or WWE, but he still gets a pretty nice paycheck, plus (and I don't know if this is true or not) I heard that ROH provides their talent with insurence unlike the two big feds, again whether this is actually true or not I don't know, but if it is it could be another reason why someone like Aries would prefer ROH over TNA

Aries also bets booked in England a lot. It's great money over here. He'd get 5 grand just for showing up for a show. Bookers over here are so desperate for a name they'll pay over the odds for certain wrestlers. With Joe, Styles & Punk full timers, for the most part, in each of their companies. The likes of Danielson & Aries are really cleaning up.

No no no no. If he said he liked where he is, then he lies. Just like Danielson when he refuted rumors that he might be signing with WWE. If Danielson was truly happy, then why go job for a dark match tryout? It's called rejection. Sure, people get REAL happy where they are when they get rejected by something bigger. I said the same thing when I got turned down for a job managing a local gas station a few years back. It's called trying to save face.

You know. I would be compelled to buy that is ORLANDO friggin JORDAN wasn't over there making money hand over fist right now They are using the old WCW formula of signing guys who have been on tv to try and get audiences and ratings. And yes, they are desperate if they are putting Jordan in angles with Warrior.

Not really. A nobody can still make money. I'm sure The Warrior & Jordan are worth the money they're being paid.

And that's all fine and good. But then you shouldn't use the fact that Austin Aries makes alot of money over there if you are also saying that a nobody can still make alot of money, because then you are saying that Aries is possibly a nobody which thusly negates an argument of how well he is doing. Ta da! It's maaa-gic. lol
