That's certainly interesting (at least as interesting as ROH can be). There's no doubt that ROH grew in size under Sapolsky, and if I remember correctly, was even pulling a monthly profit. The "effective immediately" part is what intrigues me.

Use this thread to speculate on why it happened, and what will happen going forward.

Actually, the second report that came out said that apparently ROH has been LOSING money. So obviously 4 and 5 star matches don't mean shit when it comes to profitability. Good riddance to Ring Of Homosexuals. Long live crappy boring wrestling!

ROH needs to focus on U.S. talent, not flying in guys from Japan and Europe. If that means Nigel loses his title, so be it. They need to focus on talent that is closer and cheaper to get to the shows. Hell, even narrow it down more to midwest talent, idc, but they will still be able to produce close to the same quality of wrestling.

In other news, Samoa Joe will be returning to the company for a one shot deal, in a great card that also features Nigel McGuinness vs. Bryan Danielson in a World Title match and Austin Aries vs. Jimmy Jacobs in an "I Quit" match. Also, they're hyping it as if the Age of the Fall will have a problem with Joe coming back and with Jimmy Jacobs already wrestling, that just might mean Joe vs. Tyler Black, which would be beyond awesome if you ask me.

That show might very well be the last ROH DVD I will ever buy, with this "new" direction they're talking about going in.
