And here's an older article about Arnold's return: http://www.moviehole.net/201135778-schwarzeneggers-comeback-movie-may-be
We all know Arnold's tenure as the Governor Of California has ended, and it seems like he's interested in returning to the big screen. I haven't seen The Expendables yet, but if Arnold is going to make full time return to film, then you can be sure he'll be doing more than cameos.
Arnold returning to cinema sounds like a cool idea, but what else could he do? Would you really want to see him be The Terminator again? I enjoyed the first two films, but I wasn't too crazy about Rise Of The Machines. We probably won't be seeing the same kick ass version of Scwarzenegger if he returns. The guy is 63 years old, so I doubt we'll see the famous wrecking machine again. Although, Arnold could play roles that don't require too much physical action. I'm sure Arnold still has fans left out there, so you can be sure people will go to theaters to see his movies. He might not be the big box office draw he once was, but his films should rake in a decent amount of cash.
I don't if I'm to excited about Arnold's potential return to film. I'm not against a return. I'm just not that excited to see one. I loved The Terminator and Judgment Day, and Arnold does have some other films I enjoy. Still, Arnold's career revolved around him being the tough guy. He was the big muscle man who would destroy everything in his path, and I just don't see him being able to do the same type of stuff at 63 years old. He showed us his softer side in Twins, Jingle All The Way, and Kindergarten Cop, but Arnold isn't famous for these films. I don't know how Arnold's potential return to film will play out, but It'll be interesting to see what type of roles he will play.
Would you want to see Arnold return to film?
Exciting news. My friends at CAA have been asking me for 7 years when they can take offers seriously. Gave them the green light today.
