Any hardcore dance fans?

DJ-LyRiX

Pre-Show Stalwart
Hey guys, anyone into any hardcore dance music?

I'm talking guys like Scott Brown, Darren Styles, Dougal & Gammer, CLSM, Cube::Hard, etc.

Or for Americans - Reese, NoLeftTurn...

Or for Australasians - Weaver, Suae...

Or DJ Silver for anyone from Japan..

Let me know anyways!!! I await the masses of tumbleweed!!!

I grew up listening to hardcore. Micky Finn, DJ Ratty & the rat pack, DJ Vibe, Etc

I used to have the complete dreamscape collection on tape many moons ago. I have to admit i'm more in to happy hardcore then straight hardcore music (is that still a hanging offence) although thats not to say I don't love hardcore as a whole genre.

speaking about this sort of music, I was listening to Zane Lowe on radio 1 earlier (antoher DJ was covering for him) and he played "In for the Kill (Skream Remix)" by La Roux, if you're in to your hardcore I suggest giving it a listen (its all over youtube).

You got me here, mon frere. I don't know much about this genre, so please recommend some music to me if you have the time. Dance/house is my favorite genre of music, but I'm more of a guy who likes the compilations put out by Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi.

I'd recommend listening to the Clubland X-treme Hardcore series, of which there are 5. Try a few songs on Youtube, stuff like "Cut & Recycle" by Re-Con & Squad-E (who are actually Ultrabeat) or "Sorry" by Darren Styles are good from the latest one.

Anything by Dougal & Gammer is worth a search, as is anything by DJ Kurt.

I'm a dance fan. Not a hardcore dance fan tho. I much prefer the crumping shit with like Chris Brown, Omarion and maybe even Bow Wow some times. I never really liked the hardcore dancing. Not that it is bad but because I just never really got it that much.

Ministry of sound have a hardcore CD out as well. It's quite difficult to gewt hold of a lot of the proper old school stuff (Fantasia, etc) I know there are a few websites that specialise in hardcore music

Wrong mate, Squad-E is Hypersonic, Ultrabeat are Re-Con(Mike Di Scala) Chris Henry And Ian Redmond.

Cut and Recycle is an Amazing song. As is Darren Styles - Sorry (although i prefere his updated version of Taking Me Higher)

If you're after some happy hardcore I recommend....

Children of the night - Nakatomi (Later known as the Vengaboys... they were better
pre-venga... trust me)

Shooting star - DJ Hixxy

Discoland - DJ Hixxy

In fact anything by DJ Hixxy is frikking amazing

Nope, the only hardcore music I like is Hatebreed. My oppinion of hardcore dancing is varied. I love to pit, circle or just mosh, but idoits 1 or 2 allways have to break out doing some kung fu shit while your just jumping around having fun. Sure thats there way to mosh. Great for them, but why do it in A mosh pit? Do it at some show ware you know your not gonna get tackled or knocked out for kicking someone or running into someone.

I myself can't do all that spin kick and pick up the change. But if you can? Do it, but do it ware you know it won't piss people off. I've seen alot of hardcore dancers get just trampled to the ground because to be honest, and I don't know why metal fans and rock fans assoiate hardcore dancing with skinny emo kids. They see some skinny kid doing it. And its oh fuck its an emo lets trainwreck his ass. Its stupid I know, but its a mosh pit. Not a place for one person to try and show off, oh look I can spin kick. That just an eazy pick to get your ass trampled.

I'm not aganst it but I am sick of seeing people get tossed to the ground and then dragged out with bloody'd up faces and whanot. If you wanna do that, go to a hardcore show, or do it in your garrage. Or get some friends and do a hardcore dancing driveby. Thats allways fun.

erm.. not sure whether or not to take this as a joke but we're deffo not on about hardcore rock type music!!!

DANCE music my friend - read the rest of the thread before posting!!

Also, to the guy who said I was wrong about Ultrabeat - I am indeed wrong - I was very tired when I wrote that lol.

I could turn this into a Scott Brown debate? Thoughts on his new stuff? any good, or same shit diff day? Or do u not care?!

Personally, I love his banging beats and original melodies, but am think some of it getting a bit repetitive.
