Too Sweet To Be Sour
Any tips on helping me throw shot put and discus? This is my first year since junior high throwing and I'm looking to gain some distance and get better.

I'm experimenting with the spin, but I'm currently using the glide.

I always did the glide, but then got a new coach that converted me to the half turn (where you face 90 degrees from where your throwing, explode and turn around) It takes some getting use to though.

Been on that train since the summer before freshman year. Kind of necessary as a 3 sport athlete.

What 3 sports, and what type of training?

Football, Basketball, and now track. Basic weight training, your core and supplementary lifts, some cardio, tossing in more agility and plyometric stuff this spring and summer.

Two days of upper body, two days of lower body. Lower body lifting consists of all leg stuff with squat being the main workout, Upper body is chest, arms, back, and shoulders, with bench and incline being the main workouts. I do plyos and abs everyday.
