Am I The Only One Liking Mason Ryan?

Okay so Mason Ryan has a lot of internet hate but I kind of like him. I think he has better moveset than Batista. He is 29 years old so I think he can be in biz for awhile. He moves around a lot better than Batista as well. I think WWE should have Ryder/Ziggler go one for another month with Ryder eventually getting the title. While this is happening Mason Ryan can have a undercard feud with Jack Swagger. Swagger can wrestle and would be a good choice to help Ryan get a little more comfortable in the ring.

So do you like Mason Ryan? What would you do if his booking was in your hands?

They need to change his theme music and he needs to get a haircut cuz he looks goofy with his long hair. Other than that he is ok. It would be cool if he not one of those guys who ever wins the IC and US title (similary to taker, hogan and Batista and Lesner). It actually seems like a cool club....the club where wrestlers don't win the mid card title.

I like mason Ryan he's improving in the ring he has a pretty good move set and he's improving on the Mic I would like to see him feud with ziggler or swagger and I like him better as a face and he could use a hair cut

Yeah Im into Mason Ryan He just needs to work on his ring work but he is getting better he just needs to change his look and his theme (it sounds so familiar to Batista's theme) But only time will tell I hope he goes far

I like his potential, but he's just green. WWE doesn't need to rush him...let him get in the ring with quality guys like Dbryan and Ziggler. He has a great look obviously.

I'm a big supporter of Mason Ryan.

He has a great charisma and energy about him. Everything he does feels like there's a sense of urgency to it. Combine that with his incredible look and power, and the fact that he's over as fuck. He's definitely a winner in my eyes.

As for his "greenness", does it matter? As long as he's a safe worker and has good conditioning, there's no reason for him to not be on Raw. OVW? Really? There isn't a better place in the world for someone to learn than with some of the best wrestlers in the world in WWE.

I like him but I see him as just another body builder out of Wales who the crowd will never really be into him. Get a haircut and change his theme music. In a years time once he has improved in the ring and a little less green and has developed his mic skills more then im sure the crowd will react to him, he just needs time like all WWE wrestlers. Just like Barret, Riley, Bryan, Rhodes etc..

mason ryan made an immediate impact from the day he debut as a member of nexus. I dont like his theme song either, and his downfall is his batista similiarities and comparisons, i say he grow his hair out and be more of an ultimate warrior type character than comes in makes an impact then leaves.

I like Mason Ryan, I just don't think he works well as a face. He has the look of a heel monster. Ryan worked better as a heel bodyguard for Punk than he does with this random face turn. The guy has potential to be a character similar to Batista but he needs to improve in order to get there because he is still fairly green. Turning back to a heel would be a good place to start.

I think he needs a manager. I've never actually heard him talk, I don't think, but regardless, I see him as the type of guy that needs someone in his corner barking him orders and orchestrating his moves. They missed the opportune time to do it: right after he came out with Vickie and then turned on her team, Ryan should've aligned with another manager who effectively "outbid" her for his services. That gives more legs to the feud they've going now which, to me at least, seems a little random.

I wish he would have aligned with Vickie. Ziggler,Swagger, and Mason. Mason obviously will be compared to Batista. It will be interesting how WWE plays that card. He should come out with a Batista sucks shirt and get the issue out now. That way hes not compared to Batista, he would be his own entity.

No I really don't care for Mason Ryan, I think the last thing wwe needs is to push another muscled up wrestler, I see another Cena not Batista. Reason being is batista earned his cheers and respect not shoved down our throats, and I think that Vince is wanting Mason to be a big star that i see them shoving him down our mouths, the same thing that turn alot of people off on Cena.

He's was too green for me to appreciate. I don't like him neither do I hate him he's just floating around IMO.

Obviously they want to push him but I think he needs to work in a more minor role (like a Body Guard) for him to hone his skills.

I like his theme song but it doesn't suit him, it sounds like the type of theme you'd give to a guy like Evan Bourne. As for my thoughts on Mason Ryan, this may be a little bias being that i'm an Englishman but I think he is personally a fresh powerhouse. Yes, he looks like Batista but big deal? You don't need to separate the looks its just the way it is, I think he'd be more over as a heel but either way he's getting a reaction. Mic skills are off but then again he's only just come through development.

I've really taken to him, he is no way the finished article though. He looks daft at the moment with his hair but he should grow it out so he doesn't look as much like Batista. I think he has the potential to be better than Batista. He could go either way. I'm rooting for him to come big though.

Didn't like him as a heel and now I like him less as a face because I cannot take that goofy ass smile seriously. He's already akward and jerky in the ring, but now on top of that he's more akward with this face turn that makes no sense to me at all because now he seems more lost out there than he did before. His moveset is not better than Batista's nor does he move around better, he's got a killer build but he is still very very green in the ring and until he improves there I can't even begin to attempt to enjoy his character, which I don't think I can. If Ryan is going to get a title I just pray they do some more training with him in FCW, he was brought in way too early and he still shows signs of it in the ring today, he's definitely improved but has a way to go still.

I say have him work his ass off on his in ring work and while he does let him team with Ryder and fead with Ziggler and Swagger.

I admit that he has shown some legit signs of improvement. He's also gotten good crowd responses and he's been made to look good by some really talented guys, like Dolph Ziggler.

My problem with the guy is that he's still extremely green, it's plain to see, and it looks as though he's already in line for a big push. He has an incredible look, no doubt about that, and he doesn't come across as clumsy or awkward as he used to. But, in my opinion, he still needs a good amount of work put into him. I guess I'm also kind of turned off because it looks as though they're planning on just feeding Dolph Ziggler to him mostly because of that incredible physique. Ziggler is a far superior wrestler both in the ring and on the mic. I just think that Ryan is someone that WWE should be using to further elevate Dolph Ziggler instead of just having Ziggler come across as an ineffectual fly that Ryan can squash at any given moment.

Every time I see him, it eats me up inside how he's stealing Zack Ryders feud with Ziggler. That will never change. Not next month, not next year, not next decade. The guy has no charisma, no impressive moves, and a generic TNA-esque entrance theme. Please go away.

I agree with everything you said except this. Sending him back to FCW is not the answer. If Ryan is ever gonna get better, there's no better place for him to improve than on the big WWE stage by working matches with more seasoned wrestlers in front of a larger audience.

Personally, I'm not jumping on Ryan's bandwagon at the moment because he just doesn't appeal to me yet. I also don't really like the comparisons between him and Batista seeing as other than their looks and the fact that they're both powerhouses, they're almost nothing alike. Yeah, Ryan is green as grass in the ring but he'll improve with time. His accent kinda bugs me but I'll get over that eventually. If he can become a big time player in the company, then that's awesome. If not, then I won't be that heartbroken. It seems like WWE is pretty invested in the guy for it not to happen though.

Ryan is no where near ready to be a US Champion, I'm sorry but you can't push this guy based on his looks alone. He already looks to be prone to injure, he's already managed to put himself on the shelf once and he hasn't been around for a year yet. His mic work is umm well I usually have no clue what hes saying. In ring, hes a typical big guy, power moves, rest holds, jobbing, come back, nothing special. Its going to take a lot of work by Ryan and the WWE to get me to give a shit about him, right now hes just another jacked tanned talentless body.



Batista was pushed heavily based on looks and being one of Triple H's butt buddies, but he was complete garbage for the first 6 years of his career. I really didn't like Batista until the build up before he departed the company in his feud with Cena. "Put the SPOTLIGHT ON ME! classic"

No doubt about it, I'm very intrigued by Mason Ryan. I want to see where WWE takes him. Yeah, he's way green, but that is something that will disappear with time. In my opinion, there is one thing that is and will be holding him back...

Something needs to be done to distinguish him from Batista. Yes, they are similar, that's obvious. Everyone has said it. Come on WWE, let's do something to change this! Make Mason Ryan his own superstar.

I'm not saying that Mason Ryan deserves a push more than anyone else or that he is more talented than anyone else, but I do think he has a chance to go somewhere. Hopefully WWE doesn't get lazy with him.

I really do not get Mason Ryan.... he does not currently fit in with WWE. Although he may soon.

He is GREEN and I am certain someone is going to the hospital curtesy of Ryan very soon if they give him a 5+ minuit match with anyone less skilled than Ziggler.
I dont like the Welsh or their accents....especially that of Mason Ryan...and I dont think he has any Mic skills or the potential to do so.

I am thoroughly un-entertained by Mason Ryan.
