Released in the US on the 10th March, 2009, Punk Goes Pop 2 is the latest compilation cd from Fearless Record's Punk Goes... series. This series has been going for many years, and although the more recent releases feature bands most likely put into the Alt. Rock genre instead of the punk, the series has retained its name. The majority of the punk goes series, involve a group of bands covering music from another genre, with varied success. To be honest you'll either like it better than the original or you won't and that is perhaps the flaw of this series, but it seems to present those who like the alternative style music a chance to listen to songs that they would not usually or would not usually admit to listening, by adding and changing elements of the song.

I'd give this album a B, purely because it does what its supposed to and well, but you can't award full points as its just an album full of covers.

Released on December 13, 2008, Folie à Deux if the fifth studio album from Fall Out Boy and the name of the album, when translated, means a "Madness of two". I know Fall Out Boy has a lot of haters for whatever reason you can think of but a lot of it is undeserved. They're not trying to be the greatest, most technical band in the world. They're just making catchy music which they are great at. I would recommend that you sit down and put the album on and listen to it from start to finish without any distractions it will change your perception of them. They us really good lyrics and great music and it's very, very catchy. If you can, get the limited edition version though, it has a couple of great remixes and great acoustic versions.

Here are some music videos from singles from the album...

This is another solid album from Tech N9ne, it has quite a variety of different styles that Tech shows off. It has party songs, uptempo energy songs, slow jams, and of course what wouldn't it be without Tech's usual darker side songs. Really just a great album overall and I would suggest this album to any hip hop fan because you're going to hear a sound that isn't prevalent in today's mainstream hip hop game. Tech really brings it to the table every album he releases, and what's awesome about this album is he raps about some of the personal shit he's been through and his frustrations.

Oh and on a track suggestion for that album, I got 3, check out "Like Yeah" his single off this album. It's a crazy song that will get you pumped up and ready to go. The second suggestion is "Let's Go", again another uptempo energetic song but it is quite an excellent party song as well. I love bumping that song in my ride personally. Finally the last song I have to suggest, is "Seven Words". This song is just hilarious to me. It sounds like an R&B slow jam, but the hook will have you bustin a gut laughing so damn hard. At least did for me, but anyways, check this album out, it is well worth it. Especially when it's a two disc set.

Mastodon - Crack the Skye

mastodon-crack_the_skye-album_art.jpg

1. "Oblivion" 5:47
2. "Divinations" 3:39
3. "Quintessence" 5:27
4. "The Czar: I. Usurper
- II. Escape
- III. Martyr
- IV. Spiral" 10:54
5. "Ghost of Karelia" 5:25
6. "Crack the Skye" 5:54
7. "The Last Baron"

I just got this album today I put it on and straight away I was blown away with the first few bars of "Oblivion", it starts brilliantly with Brann singing to start with, Bringing in Troy's unique voice followed into Brent's distinctive voice. All of the Vocals on this are some of the best that you can here in terms of Mastodon's previous outings, this is far and away the best Album they have put out, and that is after Blood Mountain being the best, and then Leviathan being far better than Remission. The musicianship on this album is brilliant, the lyrics and the application to the music is brilliant in that the Lyrics and the singing is another layer on top of the instruments. It is Album of the year for me, this year, and that is after Lamb of God's Wrath came out and put it up as one of the best of the year already.

All in all Im giving the album a tentative 10/10, I need to return to look at the number I gave it in a month or so, but I doubt it would change, it is that good, it is far better than a majority of the albums that came out last year.

It's a shame that Pimp C passed away too soon as I really enjoyed the music that UGK came out from their first album to this album. I personally think that this is the greatest way to end one of the greatest hip-hop groups of all time. The album overall was amazing as everyone involved performed really well & made it a great way to unfortunately put an end to a great group like UGK. R.I.P. Pimp C.

I'll update my original post, but I'll also review the last concert I went to on Thursday, April 2, 2009.

Rev Theory - First of all, I was SOOO pissed during their 25 minutes on stage. I got to the arena a full HOUR AND A HALF before the concert was supposed to start, and 30 minutes before the door was supposed to open. The arena was so piss bucket, that I didn't even get to see the first song or two of Rev Theory, due to the fact that I didn't get in until after the show started...and there were still many people behind me.

As far as their performance, it was fairly meh. I'm not a big fan of their music, and the only song I had any real interest in was "Hell Yeah". Other than that, it was just your standard opening act, with no real significance.

Papa Roach - The first concert I went to that Papa Roach played at was simply amazing, and I expected no less this time. I wasn't disappointed. I've come to the conclusion that Papa Roach is just absolutely fantastic in concert, and I'll go watch them anytime they come near me, excluding the concerts they do with Nickelback. They are supposed to be back in October, so I'll have my eyes open for tickets.

Avenged Sevenfold - It's hard to put into words how to describe the concert. The music was VERY good, they had several video screens with flashing images and lights, and they put on a very good show. However, they followed Papa Roach, and the difference in their ability to involve the crowd with the show was highly noticeable. While Papa Roach was a band you came to watch perform, Avenged Sevenfold was the band you came to listen to. Don't get me wrong, it was well worth my money, but they just didn't have the charisma Papa Roach did. However, I would gladly see them again.

Overall, out of 10 stars, I'd give it probably 6.5 or 7 stars. Highly enjoyable evening, and worth my money.

I think it is time for another album suggestion from your's truly.

I have been a pretty big fan of SPM for a number of years now, and I was excited to hear this album got released. SPM has a sick flow and a smooth delivery, and it reminds me almost of the old G Funk era with a southern twist. Disc one has all the new songs he's recorded and in a moment I will get to my song recommendations. What is interesting though, is that on the second disc he included many of his better older songs. I think its a great idea because someone that is new to his music can see what his old stuff is like.

What I like about SPM is he puts a lot of his personal thoughts and feelings about his life and everything going on around him in his music. Really it is almost like an introspective look at himself and you get to go along for the ride.If you're a fan of Houston rap, slowed down rap, or just a fan of hip hop in general, I would say this is a great album to pick up.

As far as song recommendations, here's what I suggest:

1. "Last Chair Violinist" - I like the rhythm to this song, and the lyrics are dope as well. It's a real laid back song and I like the use of violins as well.

2. "Gangsterous" - This would be one of the harder songs on the album, and SPM has always brought venom to the mic in songs like these. It reminds me of his older work and it was a great addition to the album.

3. "Filthy Rich" (Disc Two) - This was an older song that he released a while back, but apparently decided to bring it back for this album. This song has made many rounds in my rotation, and I like the story and message that goes with it. SPM talks about how you can become rich but yet have nothing with no one around you. I can't exactly describe it, it's much easier listening to the song.

4. "Are We Real" - Beautiful song, very basic beat and rhyme styling, but if you have a special someone in your life, I think this song may just make you smile and think about that person. I love the female vocalist Carolyn Rodriguez in this song and really any song she's in. I wouldn't mind seeing a solo album from her in the near future.

I was unaware this thread existed. I have been to far too many live shows to even know how many I've been to, or who I've seen, so I'll just give out awards.

Best overall show: Glastonbury 2007. It pissed it down the whole time, and I had to walk fucking miles after I got back too late to get the bus in my hometown, but the event was excellent. I saw about 33 bands, and 28 of them were worth seeing. It was a really good weekend, and I bumped into Billy Bragg and saw Harry Enfield bobbing his head along to Lily Allen.

Worst overall show: There have been so many, but I would say that distinction would probably go to a night at White Heat, a club night in Soho. They have the most pretentious up your arse bands there ever. The club afterwards is usually quite good, except when Peaches Geldof is there. Look at me, name dropping.

Best band The band I enjoy watching the most has been the Manic Street Preachers. I'm a huge fan anyway, but that is largely due to seeing them at Glastonbury a while back. There's nothing particularly innovative about their act, but they have an excellent knack for picking the right songs and their right order. Their support acts are often shit, but the band itself more than make up for it.

Worst Band Again, many to choose from, but I'm going to have to say Bono Must Die. They are so "cool" it is untrue. The crowd was comprsed of the singer's girlfriend and about 100 people shouting abuse. This band strive so hard to be alternative that are actually conforming to stereotypes more than anyone else. They've since changed their name, because Bono threatened them. Rock and Roll anarchy, evidently.

Best Audience Get Loaded in the Park 2006. It was a goofy festival name, but actually a very good day. I was hammered and with my little pseudo-sister, who also had a very good time. The crowd was the best part, being very rowdy and charging forward abot 30 yards into itself at one point. I was involuntary crowd surfing at one point, reahing the front, only for a bouncer to say "if you do that again you'll wake up in the fucking hospital."

Worst Crowd Any trendy band crowd, that don't know the songs apart from the hits. There were loads of these at Glastonbury, the worst was watching Nizlopi and not being able to leave after JCB song.

So I went to see Coldplay, and then the week after that, I went to Sound Relief.

Coldplay - I thought that they were great live. Chris's singing was great, they played all their hits, they did a piano version of "The Hardest Part" which I think was the highlight of the light. They even came up into the crowd, I was literally about 5 metres away from them, and they performed Green Eyes acoustically and also another acoustic song with their drummer Will Champion singing instead of Chris. There wasn't a bad moment during the whole concert, you could see that everyone was right into it, the crowd was even louder than Chris at one point and you couldn't even here him. It was a great show.

Sound Relief - The one thing wrong witht his concert was that the sound quality was pretty crap. It would've been hard to set it up for everyone in the MCG, and it got better as it got later, but it was still really annoying. Anyway, onto the bands.

Jet - These guys were ok, but they were great for an opening act. Everyone got on their feet for Are You Gonna Be My Girl and a couple of other songs whose names escape me. However, I couldn't see them headlining a show. They didn't seem to haveenough energy for the crowd to get into them.

Gabriella Cilmi - People knew 2 songs, Don't Want To Go To Bed Now and Sweet About Me. And they still didn't care. Pretty much, she was crap and I didn't pay much attention to her after about a minute.

Kings Of Leon - I was actually really disappointed by these guys. They were hyped up so much, but when they came on they didn't exactly excite. I think they're more suited to a more intimate concert, not one playing to a whole stadium, no matter what other people say. They played Use Somebody, which was good, however I think a lot of people were disappointed that they didn't play Sex On Fire. They said they wouldn't play it because the show was helping the bushfires, but during the breaks between bands they played the song while putting up pictures of the bushfires. Ah well, can't have everything.

Paul Kelly - Paul Kelly is a great musician. Who else would have the guts to sing the last song by himself, with no one else playing and not even Paul himself playing? Leaps And Bounds was a standout song for him, everyone erupted when he sang "to the MCG". Paul Kelly was I think one of the best acts at Sound Relief.

Augie March - I hardly knew these guys, but I was surprised when I liked what I heard. I think that right now the crowd switched off for a while. I really liked Augie March's performance, but I don't think i'll get into them. They were good for a once off listen.

Bliss N Eso - I'll say right now, I don't like most hip hop. I did not like these guys. They tried to get the crowd involved. Some people were into it, others weren't. Personal taste. But I couldn't care less about them. Next.

Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson - Ok, when these guys came on, i'm pretty sure the crowd went "Screw this" and just stopped listenin, went to get some food, went for a piss break, the usual. I know I did. Next.

Liam Finn - I actually didn't hear much from this guy, so I can't really judge him. I only got to hear the last song, which was where Crowded House came out :)D) and they played Better Be Home Soon. The place was electric, they did a great job with that song, and getting Crowded House to come and play.

Wolfmother - This is where the band's started getting good. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't play Mind's Eye, but they made up for it with their setlist. They tore the house down, and the crowd went even crazier when they started to play Joker And The Thief. They started out with Dimension, and I think the way they played made people get into it even if they didn't know the song. Wolfmother are plain and simple a great live band.

Here we switched over to Sydney for a bit and we saw Coldplay and John Farnham singing You're The Voice, the place went off, and everyone sang alng to that. It was great to see one of my favourite band's performing with an Aussie legend, singing a classic Aussie song.

Split Enz - I See Red was easily the best song by these guys, although all the songs they did were great. It was good to see these guys live and although I knew only about 2 songs by them, it was still a great performance by them.

Hunters And Collectors - The crowd went fucking crazy when they heard Holy Grail, and so did I. That song is a fucking classic, and it's almost like an Australian anthem. Hunters and Collectors were a great band that eveyrbody got into, whether they played Do You See What I See or Throw Your Arms Around Me.

Midnight Oil - The best part of the whole show was Peter Garret dancing. :D That guy is on drugs, and so was a guy just below us, who was dancing the whole time while Oil was playing. Funniest thing ever. Midnight Oil were the perfect band to close off what had been a great show, playing their hits like Beds Are Burning and Power and the Passion. Everybody knew these songs, and the crowd sang along to everyone of them. They were probably the best band i've seen live.

Iron Maiden

I can't believe I missed reviewing it, It has to be the best concert I have ever been too and they were phoning it in. That shows how good they were. I got to within spitting distance of Bruce Dickenson then I got knocked over a couple of times, once by a dumbfuck that was trying to get out of the pit because he couldn't handle the heat, Fucking annoying, he was bigger than me, thats not often the case, but it was awesome, can't express in words the awesomeness of hearing "Ryme of the Ancient Mariner", "Powerslave", "Number of the Beast", "The Evil that Men Do", "Run To The Hills" and so many other great songs. There were 5 songs they didn't play that I wish that they had, plus not even touching "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son". Overall I was blown away really.

as for the support acts, the local act Chuganaut, I enjoy their music when I hear it. They didn't do to much to make me a bigger fan or to make me a worse fan. Very much a solid show from a not too big Kiwi band. The other opener was Lauren Harris which was a good show, you can tell that she has been watching Bruce Dickenson since a very young age, the mannerisms are very similar, and her guitarist is actually pretty damned good. I made the quip, who knew Steve Harris could write pop, but it was not bad.

My Chemical Romance – The Black Parade

11. Teenagers – 2:41

13. Famous Last Words – 5:01
14. Blood (Hidden Track) – 2:53

Released on October 24, 2006, ‘The Black Parade’ is the third studio album from New Jersey band, My Chemical Romance. It was the first album which Bob Bryar has drummed on. It also spawned four singles for the band: Welcome to the Black Parade, Famous Last Words, I Don’t Love You and Teenagers. It also has a big band feel about it and it has been said by the band that Queen was one of the main influences for this album.

Much like Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance often gets unfairly criticized and is a good band and despite what the ignorant haters think, My Chemical Romance is not an emo band. They just get thrown into that category by a lot of people who take one look at them and form an opinion based on their looks and their songs. They are far from emo.

The Black Parade is a concept album centering around the character of "The Patient". It centers around his passage out of life and the memories he has of his life. "The Patient" dies and death comes for him in the form of a parade which you see in the film clip for Welcome to the Black Parade. Great work from the band on this one and they have a new album coming out this year so I’m very excited. They are my number 1 faveourite band.

Oh I like this thread. I would like to choose all my favourite Albums, but there are a lot. And I would mind choosing an album regularly and putting it on here and seeing what people think, or mabye do a poll weekly. Anyway, I will go with my favourite Band, as of course, Im really in to them. Now I a huge fan of Whitesnake, and I love Albums like Trouble, Ready 'N Willing, Love Hunter, Slide it In, Slip of the Tongue, Good to be Bad an so on...ut I will choose their most famous, and probably popular and biggest selling Album.

Released in 1987 (Often called 1987, Whitesnake or Serpens Albus), it has been Whitesnake's biggest selling album, selling rougly over 8 Millions Albums in teh U.S. (Not sure world wide), and has some fantastic song on it.

whitesnake-1987.jpg

1. Still of the Night" – 6:36
2. Bad Boys" – 4:06
3. Give Me All Your Love" – 3:31
4. Looking for Love" – 6:33 (not on US release)
5. Crying in the Rain 87" (Coverdale) – 5:37
6. Is This Love" – 4:43
7. Straight for the Heart" – 3:39
8. Don't Turn Away" – 5:10
9. Children of the Night" – 4:24
10. Here I Go Again 87" (Coverdale, Marsden) – 4:34
11. You're Gonna Break My Heart Again" – 4:11

Whitesnake (also known as Serpens Albus in Japan and 1987 in the UK and Europe) is the eighth studio album by British hard rock band of the same name (Whitesnake), released in 1987. The album was a major crossover hit and one of the top-selling albums in the glam metal genre, eventually selling over eight million copies in the United States alone (and thus going eight times platinum). The album peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Its success even boosted its predecessor, Slide It In, from gold to double platinum status.

In Europe the album was called 1987 which featured a different running order and two extra tracks, "Looking for Love" and "You're Gonna Break My Heart Again"; and in Japan the album was titled Serpens Albus which, in Latin, means "Whitesnake"). The two extra European tracks would be released in America in the 90s on Whitesnake's Greatest Hits.

After the album was recorded, lead singer David Coverdale fired the band members who had played on the recordings: John Sykes (guitar), who went on to found Blue Murder; Neil Murray (bass); and Aynsley Dunbar (drums). Adrian Vandenberg, who played on the solo to "Here I Go Again," joined the band on a full-time basis after the other members were gone.

The album produced three major crossover hit singles: the Led Zeppelin-influenced "Still of the Night", "Here I Go Again", the band's only #1 single in the U.S. and the power ballad "Is This Love", which reached #2 on the U.S. singles chart. They also had hits in Britain with the aforementioned three singles, as well as "Give Me All Your Love", which reached #18.

"Here I Go Again" and "Crying In The Rain" originally appeared on the Saints & Sinners album. These songs were rerecorded for the new release here. An alternate radio version of "Here I Go Again" of this album's recording did not appear on the album but was later included as a bonus track on Whitesnake's Greatest Hits.

All videos from the album earned substantial airplay on MTV in part due to appearances by Tawny Kitaen, then the wife of Whitesnake lead singer David Coverdale.

I think it's time for me to suggest another album for everybody on here.

Ever since I started listening to Tech N9ne. I've been a fan of his & i'm trying to pick up every single album he release. Well yesterday I stumpled upon this album yesterday in the music store at the mall & it is the album that he released yesterday. Well I bought it & I wasn't suprised that it was a good album. This album has his usual guest like Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun & Big Scoob, but it has new guest appearances from the likes of Chino XL & Krayzie Bone from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. If your a fan of underground rap then I suggest you listen to Tech N9ne's music cause he is way better than most of the rappers that are currently in the mainstream spotlight.

Well Pimpin beat me to doing a review/suggestion post of Sickology 101, so I'll go a slightly different route and suggest a different Strange Music artist. But first a quickie review of Sickology 101. This is the 2nd album in Tech's Collabos series, and I believe it's just as good as his first one, Misery Loves Kompany. Like usual Tech kills it on this album, and every song is high quality. My favorites off the album so far are Midwest Choppers 2, Poh Me Anutha, and Party and Bullshit. I highly recommend it.

Now onto my suggestion:

Love this album I just picked it up a couple days ago and I've been bumpin this album alongside Sickology 101. Kutt doesn't have the speed that Tech has, but he has very complex rhymes and a excellent delivery on the mic. He tends to lean towards what we like to call "strip club hits", you know, songs that would be perfect for a strip club. I got no problem with that, and it's a break from some of the usual out there. I expect great things to come from Kutt in the coming years as he has really progressed as an artists since he first started out with Tech.

Anyway, song suggestion wise, I'd check out the single "Bunk Rock Bitch". I love the beat to the song, and it's a song for partying or bumping in your ride. "Speed" is another song that I enjoy from this album, and this is just one of them songs when you cruisin around the city streets. "Killa City" is a Tech N9ne style hard song that has a killer beat, and Kutt brings it on this song. So if you into Tech N9ne, you already know who Kutt is. If you don't, well this album may just make you a Strange Music fan when you're done.

this is the mars volta's second album and to me one of the best, if not the best, prog albums ever. On this epic The Mars Volta combine prog rock, latin and salsa roots, jazz and blues, and punk rifts. the guitar work is nothing but amazing which is proven by the fact that Omar has been raved on by Rolling Stone mag. The vocals are a style of led zep and rush style high ranged. For anyone wanting a complex album full of prog magic check this one out ASAP

Released on October 21 2008, This War Is Ours, is the second studio album from Las Vegas band, Escape the Fate. It is also the first album from them recorded with Craig Mabbit as lead vocalist since Ronnie Radke was kicked out. This album has so far spawned two singles for the band which are 'The Flood' and 'Something' and it has also been reported that '10 Miles Wide' will also be released and a music video made but that's entirely speculation so far.

This album has a much softer sound compared to 'Dying Is Your Latest Fashion' but it is also a strong album at the same time. When you listen to 'Dying Is Your Latest Fashion' and then this album you have to seperate yourself from the old Escape the Fate to be able to fully appreciate this album. The different styles of Ronnie and Craig is evident in this album where Craig doesn't scream as much as Ronnie did in 'Dying Is Your Latest Fashion'.

Here are the music videos for 'The Flood' and 'Something'.

This album is very similar to N.W.A.'s Straight Outta Compton as their themes & the meaning of the songs are very similar to eachother. It's also notable for the single Hood Took Me Under which is a classic song as I listen to it every damn day while i'm on my way to college. It is by far one of the greatest gangsta rap albums in the golden age of hip hop. If your a fan of old school rap then as a fellow fan of gangsta rap myself. I suggest you either buy this album or download the album & I guarantee that you will enjoy this great album.

I managed to get my hands on a early copy of Eminem's new CD, "Relapse"
Some songs are definitely gonna piss of lots of the Em fans who are still stuck on the Slim Shady LP. A huge majority of the songs are Marshall back on his old Slim Shady shit, his perfected rhyme style, insane lyrics, funny quotes, and his making fun of everyone. I love this CD, and I will be buying a copy even though I have a bootleg. It's definitely worth checking out. I'm not even halfway done with the album but already I am in love with it, the skits are very well put together, and it just all goes great. Definite buy for any TRUE Eminem fan.

So...the album leaked (don't they all nowadays?), I thought it was alright, my expectations were low after hearing the singles, but it was a decent album, nowhere near the level of his earlier work though, Beautiful, Insane, Underground & Deja Vu were really good tracks.

Thoughts? Is Eminem even relevant anymore?

3 A.M. was really the only single I liked, but the rest of the album made up for the poor singles. Beautiful and Deja Vu are probably my favorite tracks. Underground and My Mom were also really good. Em is such a great artist that expectations are almost unreachable, but overall I thought it was a great album.

It was alright. Underground (epic) and Beautiful are easily the best tracks, Deja Vu, My Mom and Insane (fucked up content, but still the old Em voice with great flow) weren't bad either. It was just as I expected it to be, a meh album with terrible singles and a few solid tracks but still better than Encore. Not that, that takes much.

Glad he's back now though, people can throw that horrible Asher Roth shit out the window.

Wow I think i'm the only one here that thought Encore was a really great album.

Anyways, it's far off from his older work like The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show & Encore, but I thought it was solid. I thought 3A.M. was a great track as well as Insane, My Mom, Crack A Bottle(I thought the flow of the song was decent & catchy), Insane was a bad ass track & had the old Em voice & the flow on that track was great, I really liked the track Old Time's Sake as I always love it when Em & Dre are on the same track. It was a good album, but I really wish that Eminem would go back to his old voice cause he was really fucking great when he was using his old voice(And i'm about the biggest Eminem fan that you will find on here).

Dammit I was gonna post Relapse in here. Anyways I believe it is time for yours truly to put up another album in this thread.

21. Where You Want Me feat Kutt Calhoun & Tech N9ne- 3:44

This is the debut album of Krizz Kaliko. Now you may know him from guest appearances on many of Tech N9ne's songs & the rest of the Strange Music artists. He collaborated with usual guests Kutt Calhoun & Tech N9ne, Skatterman & Snug Brim, but also a collaboration with Bay Area rapper E-40, Prozak, DJ Chill, King Gordy(on the clean version of the album) & Twiztid.

Overall I thought this was a solid debut album by Kaliko as the Strange Music label has always put out great albums in my opinion as I have enjoyed all their albums & this one was no different.

Someone already kind of posted a review of Relapse but it was incomplete and he said himself in his post that he hadn't even finished the cd yet.

# Title
1. "Dr. West" (skit)
2. "3am"
3. "My Mom"
4. "Insane"
5. "Bagpipes from Baghdad"
6. "Hello" Dr. Dre
7. "Tonya" (skit)
8. "Same Song & Dance"
9. "We Made You"
10. "Medicine Ball"
11. "Paul" (skit)
12. "Stay Wide Awake"
13. "Old Time's Sake" (featuring Dr. Dre)
14. "Must Be the Ganja"
15. "Mr. Mathers"
16. "Deja Vu"
17. "Beautiful"
18. "Crack a Bottle" (featuring Dr. Dre, 50 Cent)
19. "Steve Berman" (skit)
20. "Underground/Ken Kaniff"

Not his best album ever, but it was still very good. The three best tracks on the album are easily Beautiful, Deja Vu, and Underground. Beautiful was the only song on the album that Eminem produced himself and it is one of those songs where he goes away from the funny quotes and sadistic rhymes to convey an uplifting message. If you liked Rock Bottom and Sing for the Moment then you'll like Beautiful. Deja Vu talks about how he almost overdosed on drugs and how difficult it was to admit he had a problem. Underground is probably his best song lyrically on the album and you combine that with a great beat from Dre and a nice hook, it was a great way to end the album.

Other good songs on the album were My Mom, 3 AM, and Stay Wide Awake. Insane was a good song that will generate a lot of controversy. Bagpipes from Baghdad is solid and it takes shots at Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. Must Be the Ganja is also a solid track. Medicine Ball was good and has some controversial lyrics about Christopher Reeves. The only tracks that aren't good are probably We Made You and Hello, but even those are better then what most rappers put out and they are still very good lyrically. And the We Made You music video makes up for song.

Overall it is a very good album and the three tracks I talked about at the beginning should be enough by themselves to make you want to buy the album.

i didnt like it upon first listen. i like it alot now. i listened to it probably 9 or 10 times all the way thru since nothing else worthwhile leaked in the last few weeks and since ive digested the content i'd say its a pretty dope album. especially in the context of 2 albums since Relapse 2 is coming somewhat soon as well and i'd expect that to be more serious Em content since this album had just 1 serious song on it compared to his last 2(not to much Encore, but The Eminem Show).

my favorites are Bagpipes from Baghdad, Deja Vu, Medicine Ball, Underground. i mean i dont really skip any track on there at this point...im not the biggest fan of Crack a bottle though
