For those of you seeking knowledge on the legend known as Big Daddy, here I am to provide it for you. If I'd made a vote, he would have made the 3rd Annual Wrestlezone Tournament, and with the exception of MAYBE Sting, he should win the WCW Region. If he was so in that region.

So here, in list form is everything you need to know to vote for Big Daddy, and appreciate the man's legend.

1. Big Daddy is a 2-time European Heavyweight Champion. It's the only major championship to his credit. Why? Because he stuck with European wrestling, and even continued to defend the European Heavyweight Championship after World Of Sport was taken off the air in 1985. Big Daddy was the most established, legitimate star in the history of British Wrestling.

2. Big Daddy defeated everybody Widely regarded at the time to be the best wrestler in the world, Tom Billington was always in the shadow of Big Daddy when they were on the same card. And not because of his sizeable girth.

3. Some of Big Daddy's other victories are over men named: Steve Regal, Mal "King Kong" Kirk, Mick McManus, Giant Haystacks , Dave Finlay, Davey Boy Smith and Steve Veidor . Look again at that list. NOBODY else has beaten all of those men. NOBODY. That's sick. Other than Steve Veidor , it reads like a who's who or British Wrestlers.

4. Big Daddy is the only Super Heavyweight who's never been slammed. Finlay didn't slam Big Daddy. And Dave Smith didn't slam Big Daddy. Neither did Mick McManus. Nobody slammed Shirley Crabtree.

BIG DADDY would destroy El "The Chosen One with the Booking Power" Canek in under 10 minutes.

BIG DADDY would dismantle Big Van Vader, but in a 20-minute classic.

BIG DADDY would make Bam Bam see double before pinning him in under 6 minutes.

BIG DADDY is the reason guys like Dynamite Kid had a shot.

BIG DADDY was The Queen's favorite wrestler.

If you're the favorite of The Queen then year really are a legend. Big Daddy is synominus with British wrestling to this very day. For Americans Davey Boy Smith might be considered the biggest British star in wrestling history, but that just isn't the case. That honor goes to Big Daddy. The best super heavyweight of all time.

He's even got a statue in Halifax.

Thank you for your contribution. A great but misinformed post. Big Daddy was the Hogan of England. He was selling out shows and making all the money. There was absolutely no reason for him to move to America.

Finlay & Regal are veterans now, rookies then. If World Of Sport was still going then they never would've moved overseas either.
