Well, he didn't just lock down a single thread.
He locked down that goodbye one, that wasn't heated or flamey- saying no one cared, when about 3 decent users posted before him, clearly caring at least a little bit.
I kind of don't blame the guy for leaving.

Clearly it is not and I don't even agree with his stances in the thread. That said in the threads themselves I failed to see anything that warranted them being locked other than you being upset and commenting when he couldn't didn't help stop it from appearing petty.

They don't. But the rule isn't about simply "anything goes". That's just the way we're saying it. The bar room is the place where you're suppose to be able to say anything you want, regardless of how offensive it is, without the staff penalizing you for it. And it didn't seem like that was the case. He didn't just close his threads. He fucked with his name, fucked with the names of his threads. Kind of used the mod power to censor him, and humiliate him.

But I didn't know about him PM'ing KB. That was kind of digging his own grave there. And it completely disregarded the "what happens in the bar, stays in the bar" thing. So hearing about that sort of disqualifies his bar room safety net.

Edit: I feel like Byron Sexton right now, trying to commentate a match. It's not going too well.

Let's consider what I did.

Closed a thread that had absolutely nothing to do with the original thing he claimed to want to talk about. He can claim otherwise, but it seemed to me that he wanted to talk about his bowel issues and nothing else.

Changed his name after he said stupid things, which is almost always done to a prisoner, which he didn't become.

Changed a thread name. Mainly done because the thread had nothing to do with what it was called anymore.

That's not that big of a collective deal.
