Poop Master Flex

Mid-Card Championship Winner
When you have a big reveal make sure the people in the audience actually KNOW who the person is or better yet make sure its someone people care about.

That was the most anti climatic reveal I can remember.

Yes he was but he hasn't been relevant in a long while either not to mention the blond hair he once had was one of the big reasons someone would notice him just by looking at him. I know he shaved it a while ago but he's not necessarily a guy who you would know just by looking at him.

Coming out I would bet a good chunk of those fans didn't know who he was. Not that they wouldn't know Tito Ortiz but fo me on TV it took a few to register who it was.

The problem is, Tito hasn't done anything truly relevant in mma in years. I know, I know, he beat Ryan Bader, but that shit was fluky as hell, and he followed that up by getting destroyed by Rashad Evans.

Yeah, he's so irrelevant that he's been trending on twitter for over an hour now

Trending on Twitter doesn't mean one is relevant. he was trending when Jenna Jameson was posting pictures of his steroids about a month ago too.

Signing Tito is literally the most ******ed thing TNA/Bellator/Spike has ever done. The shit show he brings with him isn't worth the trouble.

More people know who Tito Ortiz is than know who Davey Richards is. That's for sure.

Here's the thing though, Davey Richards can actually have a professional wrestling match and is an actual professional wrestler. TNA is the same company who promoted under the slogan "Wrestling Matters" not so long ago.

But they should change that to something more suitable, like "Bellator Matters."

Mainstream or fading mainstream publicity upps indie circuit experience. I get that philosophy.

Thing is now you have two MMA guys pretty much cross promoting the other show. What Impact is doing is trying to use their ,whatever is left, appeal and hope the guys who tune into Bellator, also tune into TNA.

Impact needs a boost, they have taken their show on the road and all and have developed an OK number of superstars to hold their own. Getting some national attention will help them here. Not a bad move this.

I don't give a fuck about if you are a TNA love boy! As a wrestling fan, I hope by god you didn't enjoy that "big" reveal. Tito freaking Ortiz... The guy is 38 years old, is a former star NEVER had a professional wrestling match and besides he looks like shit. From now on, having TNA actually fold isn't a bad move for the industry. A guy that googles TNA will read people crapping on it and immediately go away and by god are these people right.

How can one enjoy it? Please tell me, how can one enjoy having a stable war for the tenth time in eleven years and having MMA stars getting more time and probably getting a lot more money than professional wrestlers?

TNA Marks would defend a Aces & Eights gang rape of their own mother.

There was no one they could have brought in that was going to make any sort of splash. At least this way Bellator got some viral promotion.

I saw a lot of this sort of thing on twitter

All I'm going to say is, I know about as much about MMA as I know about professional sailing which is to say about three of the rules and a few of the people. I've heard of Tito Ortiz, and would in fact consider talking to someone who was an MMA fan about it.

He's probably been given a lot of money, and he's obviously not Mile Tyson, but he certainly has more name power to the casual fan than anyone who has debuted since Jeff Hardy probably.

They could have brought someone new, a new wrestler with actually good looks and good pro wrestling background. Ohh silly me. I guess the same guys that were there 5 years ago are enough, I haven't seen a Kurt Angle v. AJ Styles for a long time now.

I'd argue Quentin Jackson has much more than either. In fact, a simple Q Score search doesn't even bring up a result for Tito Ortiz, while it does for Jackson. Ortiz only registers a blip with longtime MMA fans, who are in my experience the most derisive towards pro wrestling.

If they brought in a pro wrestler they'd have had to pay him. With a mixed martial artist they can have Spike/Bellator help with the bill.

It never seizes to amaze me how great TNA is at hyping stuff. They could hype up the arrival of Jesus Christ and it would be so well done people will, as usual, say it was underwhelming when he shows up.

I guess that's a positive way to look at it. A more realistic take is that TNA managed to underwhelm people who were expecting Bob Holly.

Skip to 3:50 for the crickets:

I like how every time the camera cuts back to Mr. Anderson he looks more bored than the last time.
