2017 HOF Headliner?

Ravishing Rick Rude
The Steiner Brothers
The Russian Nightmare Nikita Kolov
Big Van Vader
Sting
Sid Vicious
Lex Luger
Barry Windham
Dan Spivey

All these guys could get a nod towards the hall of fame, but Sting will probably be the big one in 2017.

if you're talking WWE hall of fame, then there a problem with this list.

first has much as i liked the steiners as a tag team, i really doubt that they would induct them based on the fact that they hated scott steineré

Nikita kolov: outside of people that watch the old jim crockett promotion or early WCW, nobody really knows who that guy is really. Nothing against him but he really didn't leave a huge impression in the world of wrestling

Vader: i really have no problem with him at all and i don'T see why he's not in it already.

Sting: already in the WWE hall of fame so why he'S on this list i have no idea.

Sid vicious: could happen someday why not

Lex Luger: i would love to see him inducted someday, but i think is past is what holding him back from being inducted. The fact that he went to prison and he's still somewhat attach to the death of miss elizabeth is playing against him right now.

Barry windham: Sad to say this because i think he deserve to be the second guy to be a 2 time wwe hall of famer, but the fact that he was inducted as part of the four horsemen tells me that he won't be inducted for his single career.

Dan spivey: Don'T means to disrespect this choice but who the hell is Dan spivey. is he the guy that played waylon mercy in the mid 90's. That probably the reaction that most wrestling fan will have if dan ever gets inducted in the hall of fame.

Right now if i look at who's available and not on the bad side of WWE i could See goldberg as the headliner and daniel bryan has the second headliner.

has for the rest of the 2017 class. I'm thinking probably Vader will finally get the nod. Also Why not Rick Martel, the rougeau brothers, sable and lex luger

I'm surprised theres been no mention of a British Bulldog Davey Smith or Dynamite Kid induction, Arguably the greatest tag team of all time and also 2 of the greatest singles wrestlers of all time, So many others like King Kong Bundy, Steiner Brothers, Rock N Roll Express, Owen Hart, Jim Neidhart, Honky Tonk Man, Brutus Beefcake, Rick Martel, Haystacks Calhoun, Rick Rude, Ivan Koloff, Nikita Koloff, Tatanka, Dudley Boys, Hardy Boys, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Rob Van dam and Bam Bam Bigelow all should be there at some point.

Daniel Bryan

He had a tremendous night at WrestleMania 30, defeating Triple H, Randy Orton, and Batista, and winning the WWE Championship.

He's one of the most over wrestlers ever and arguably the best in-ring wrestler.

He's responsible for four of the loudest pops of the PG Era.

That's more than enough for Bryan to be named headliner next year.

Daniel Bryan, Undertaker, The Rock, and Goldberg are obvious choices but I feel WWE can hold off inducting them so they don't burn out their big names too soon.

I think WWE not letting Piper or Foley headline a HOF year and not burying the hatchet with Savage before he passed away kind of cost them 3 years right there.

Does the WWE consider Lex Luger worthy to Headline a HOF class? I mean Nash did headline a HOF class and was probably just a tad higher than Luger in terms of stature in the business. Perhaps that could be an option.

I am also thinking a Posthumous induction of Owen Hart is strong enough to headline the class. Ok WWE doesn't want a person who passed away headline a Hall of Fame but I think if they can get Martha Hart to miraculously agree on this her presence would a strong enough representation of Owen Hart.

Beyond that The Rock, Goldberg, Undertaker, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Vince McMahon, Rey Mysterio, Batista, and Triple H are the remaining names that ca headline a HOF.

I still say that rob van dam should be on that list as well. But a hardcore themed hof year might not go over so well with wwe pg.

And let's get one thing straight, lex did what exactly in his cup of coffee in the wwe?

Normally I'd agree with WCW/nwa inductees but not in Lugers case, they don't need that broken hobbled old man headlining a bathroom stall with Virgil for #*^%money, much less headlining a hall of fame.

There are a lot more deserving wrestlers dead and alive that need to go in before they hit the bottom rung with lex loser.

Also correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't nash the same year as savage? Is there any question to who the true headliner was? Last I checked it wasn't big poochie.

Has far as davey and dynamite are concern, i'm guessing that it'S more of a let'S wait until dynamite actually dies before inducting them into the hall of fame because let'S face it, While he was a great wrestler, in real life, the guy was a prick and that'S coming from pretty much everybody that use to know him. right now from what i've read, he even worst then when he was wrestling and the fact that he really doesn'T want to get out of his house anymore because he can'T barely walk is kind of why i doubt they would induct the bulldogs in the HOF before he dies.

I think his attitude is the only thing keeping Dynamite Kid out the hall of fame right now as wrestling wise I believe there was nobody better especially his matches in Japan even if he was an ahole in real life, For his induction speach alone which would be interesting I would love to see him get inducted while still alive.

You know if hogan is coming back this year for mania I think its finally time to induct Cyndi pauper into the celebrity wing,

It may not be the headliner but if hogan was the one to induct her it would probably make for some mainstream media attention.

Probaly not a bad idea if Goldberg is indeed the headliner

Celebrity Wing will be Shaq... pretty sure of that one... but I could see them making a play for Hugh Jackman this year... and he'll have Logan to promote at that time so it makes sense.

Let's not forget John Cena,Randy Orton, and if WWE recognizes his full career including TNA, then you also have AJ Styles. You also got names like Jeff Hardy ans Kurt Angle as well.

With Goldberg coming back I think that he'll be the headliner this year. I just don't think that they'd have brought him back for just one match. I know WWE fans won't necessarily recognise him but maybe DeWayne Bruce inducts him.

Lemmy has to be the celebrity to be inducted.

Regarding The Undertaker I don't think he'll go in while he's active. He'll be inducted the night before his final Wrestlemania and WWE appearance. This could be in 2017 but who knows.

Kane will go in the year after he retires which I imagine will be just after Undertaker.

I'd say the below would be in the class of 2017 plus one or two more.
Goldberg
Lemmy
Dudley Boyz
Vader
Mickie James

The WWE has been having Goldberg fever lately. Their video packages for Goldberg have been accompanied by some odd remarks by Michael Cole. Paraphrasing; Michael said "Goldberg is the only person to become an undefeated world champion" and "Goldberg is the greatest WCW Champion of all time".

Maybe it's all to build him up as a potential threat to Brock, only to have Brock obliterate him in classic Brock Lesnar fashion. Or, maybe it's so that they can make an otherwise bland year a little more meaningful by building Goldberg as a headlining HOF inductee.

One name I haven't seen mentioned is Don Jardine. He might be a fun throwback for fans of The Undertaker, plus he was one of the greatest masked wrestlers of all time.

Dynamite Kid won't be going in anytime soon as he's one of the 50+ wrestlers & personalities suing WWE. Apparently, like so many others, he blames WWE for many of his health problems despite the fact that he wrestled a very physical style before, during and after he left WWE, had a known history of steroid & drug abuse and continued wrestling long after he physically shouldn't have. You're not going to even make the offer to someone trying to sue you for millions of dollars and the odds are very good that he wouldn't accept in the first place.

In real life, the guy was known as a world class prick. Everyone from Bulldog, Bret Hart, Owen and anyone else who ever had anything to do with the guy praised him for his talent, but all said that the guy was a major asshole. He was also so abusive towards his first wife that she contemplated suicide while she was pregnant and even killing their other two children so that he wouldn't have custody of them. That in & of itself doesn't disqualify him from being in the HOF. Stone Cold Steve Austin has a history of domestic abuse, there've been allegations of racism against Bill Watts for decades, Michael Hayes has been known to use the N-Word whenever he has a few too many cocktails, Andre the Giant was known for making racially insensitive jokes at times, Dusty Rhodes was a Texas boy born during the mid 40s and was life long friends with Dick Murdoch, a known KKK supporter, so there's a definite chance Rhodes used racial slurs at times during his life, and I'm sure every other inductee has a few skeletons in their closet just like everyone else does.
