Skip does tell it like it is.

Back to you Justin I dont think this be the Card's break out year i'm feeling more of the Lions....yup like Skip said i can see the lions going 8-8

Well looking at the piss poor NFC Central, that could very well be true, but I honastly can't see this team being successful along a McMillen is around, the dude is just plain ******ed

I could see it happening with that weak divison. Cardinals are more likely IMO they are loaded with young talent on the offensive side of the ball and could explode anytime soon.

I wonder how big Calvin Johnson does this year? He shouldn't be a dud like the past Receivers they have taken #1 since He was such a hell of a player at Tech.

I dont like McMillan either as they need a QB as Kitna has been nothing special but he seems to sorta work in Martz offense scheme. But i think if Calvin Johnson is all that they think he can he and Roy Williams talk about a wideout team but then again they like the Cards great WR but meh team

The Cards are loaded but they dont have that great of an offense. Matt Leinart i sonly in his 2nd year and we need to see how he does for a full year.

CJ was damn good at Tech and he had a shitty QB in Reggie Ball to whom we can agree on is not a great QB yet CJ still managed to make Ball look good in times when Ball was in trouble.

Hey I just had a thought or question or whatever, anyway, would anybody be interested in doing Live Discussion for Sunday and Monday night football this year?, just wondering, could be fun

what I think the Cards need to be a surious contender is to make a few improvments to their Defense, that and give Leinart a few more years and they will be a breakout team

the Lions could be the breakout team this year but I don't see them doing anything come playoff time, they just arn't that good

btw I'm going to make my SB predictio right now, SD vs. NO, that's what I think we'll get this year, and it should be a good game, can't wait for Football season to start

I think Sunday night live discussion be more easy to do as Monday night is RAW but have to see what others think.

The cards have the offense sure their o-line needs a little wok but really their offense is not that bad. If the defense can get some help the cards will be a team watch out for a years to come as the team is still quite young.

The Lions will do better that last year and if that happens McMillan will be around for longer :gasp:

But for my superbowl prediction i'm going with Patriots who beat Chargers in AFC championship vs Saints who beat Bears in the NFC championship with Saints winning it all.

Good idea for Sunday Night Football. Mondays would be tough with RAW discussion and show going on. I'm sure we would get alot talking going on.

As for SB predictions. Right now I can see many contenders in the AFC while the NFC is weak.

But I gotta go with New England from the AFC. They got it all. Solid defense. Very good offense everywhere from WR to the O Line. Brady's a hell of a QB and I think he will lead them back to the big game. It will be tough to with the Colts and Chargers as I see them being just a step behind the Pats.

NFC is pretty much Seahawks,Saints and Bears. I doubt any real sleeper just jumps up out of nowhere and goes to the Super Bowl. I think the Saints should make it though. Brees is a damn good QB. The offense shouldn't be a problem this year but it seems the D seems to give up alot of points last year. A little improving on D they should be good. The Bears will be close though if they can get the offense rollin'.

New England vs New Orleans. If it happens should be a good game. All I know is im pumped for this year.

If this happens then I really hope Saints win it, I just can't stand the Pats, they are just too danm dominate, it's like watching a Cena match, only the Pats have talent

I see your point with the Monday Night Football Live Discussion being kind of hard to do, so maybe just Sunday Night Football, those are usally good games anyway, now that NBC has them, and does that flex schedule thing, which I really like, the good thing about Monday night football is that if Raw sucks, like it useally does, we'll have and alterantive:headbanger:

I think the Bears offense will be much better this year Bensons ready to break out and i think even though he hasnt shown it Grossman will be alot more consistent this year and with a defense like they have they should be very good again. i also am curious about what people think of Brett Favre because i cant stand him(and not because im a Bears fan)

The bears have a decent offense i give them that, but damn Grossman hasnt showed me anything in the pre-season yet. Benson looks good but can he carry the load for a whole season as last year him and Thomas was great 1-2 back tandem. They should be good thanks to their defense but it all depends in Grossman and Benson

Back to Justin...I hate the Pats as well as they seem they can do anything and it works out well heres to hoping a Brady injury :headbanger:

:lmao: quote of the day. I agree though. I was pulling for the Saints last year until them undeserving Bears won. I'm sick of the Pats but we all gotta face that they have talent.

I don't know about the Bears offense breaking out. Grossman has looked like the same ol' Rex so far this preseason. Yeah its the preseason. The Turnovers is what kills the Bears everytime. The WR corp isn't the greatest. Berrian is pretty good though. The defense will be outstanding and more than likely the best in the NFL. I just can't see them going far unless Rex steps up and plays more consistent. I'm still not to sure about what I think on Cedric Benson. He was a good backup last year and made alot of big plays. I think he will do well. He better because he will be getting MANY carries a game.

Now on Favre. I've always been a big Favre fan. You have to admit he's One of the best QB's to ever play the game even if you aren't a Packers fan. The guy is amazing still even at his age. He's still one of the top QB's in the NFC. Brett's a hall of famer and i'm rooting for him to have a good final year. If this is his last.

i have two problems with Brett Favre

1. hes not held accountable for his mistakes. he made more bad throws then Rex Grossman last year but everytime he did no one would care why? because hes Brett Favre.

2. he is only in it for the records. remember the year micheal strahan was going for the sack record he rolled out to the right directly into strahan and instead of throwing it away or trying to move he just slid right to him. another example of this is his chase for the consecutive games started record hes actually hurt his team by playing injured and not performing but still no one seems to care because hes Brett Favre.

and the wild card. I also cant stand John Maddens strange obsession with Brett Favre i mean hes pretty much goin out and saying i'd go down on Brett Favre if i had the chance. but hey i guess thats not Favres fault thoug

If you want you can use that quote in your sig, I won't mind:headbanger:

Now to Favre, I love the guy, He is the greateast QB around, right up there with Marino, Elway, and Montana, these are the greats I grew up watching a frve belongs right up there with all of them, Favre is one of the only QBs that made his WRs, think about it, he never had just one guy throughout his career that he had that QB/WR connection with he was always throwing to different guys and makeing them into great receivers, many of his WR amounted to nothing when they played for other teams, but in GB they were great and it's because of Favre, and you can't denie the fact that he's a great QB when you look at the list of records he has broken throughout his career, especially when you look at his carreer starts, who starts that many games, and playes this long, without major injuries, 17 years a zero season ending injuries, and no major contervesries in his career, which is extremly rare when you look at thwe world of sports today, other than Brady and Peyton Manning there is no real great QBs in the game today that I can see have ing a career like Favre

1. hes not held accountable for his mistakes. he made more bad throws then Rex Grossman last year but everytime he did no one would care why? because hes Brett Favre.

Well usually on ESPNEWS Postgame. I hear Favre say he made this mistake and that mistake etc.. Also 2 years ago ESPN was jumping all on Brett for the 29 INTS. Grossman is jumped on for being so god awful and insonsistent. Favre in the begginning of his career was very consistent. These days as he gets older he isn't but he is still easily one of the top QB's in the NFC.

2. he is only in it for the records. remember the year micheal strahan was going for the sack record he rolled out to the right directly into strahan and instead of throwing it away or trying to move he just slid right to him. another example of this is his chase for the consecutive games started record hes actually hurt his team by playing injured and not performing but still no one seems to care because hes Brett Favre.

I'm not apart of the Packers and don't know Favre personally but I'd doubt he's just in it for the records. It's pretty crystal clear all he wants to do is win and he will do anything to win. Listen to the postgame news confrences. He was considiring retirement but saw all the young talent the Pack has. So he's sticking around trying to get another shot at a SB and go out strong. I doubt Favre's in it just for records.

and the wild card. I also cant stand John Maddens strange obsession with Brett Favre i mean hes pretty much goin out and saying i'd go down on Brett Favre if i had the chance. but hey i guess thats not Favres fault though.

John Madden is a former head coach with multiple SB rings. I think he knows when he sees a damn good QB. That's what Favre is.

see for all the bad things i may say about Favre i will never question his ablilities and this quote up here pretty much sums up how i feel about Brett Favre(as a player as a person i probably feel different)

but hey i may be another bitter Bears fan, but i wont ever admit it though

my only onion on Favre is that he should be wanting to play for the game and if he is then he should he is one the best ever with his throw it up there and wide out better get it or where only his guy can get it.

But if he just playing for records then thats not right and he should hang it up, but he is good and to have such a streak says you have some balls my friends as football is no easy sport.

i know hes great as a QB but haven't you noticed kind of an unhealthy obsession with Brett Favre?

Are you sure your from WI, seriously I can't remember anybody in all tyhe years that I've lived in WI talk about Favre like that, lol

as for for him chasing his consecutive games record, I don't really think he hurt his team by playing injured cause even injured he was a better QB than the guy the had playing back-up for him

As for Maddens man crush on Favre, I agree with you on that, it's really just creepy, but then I've seen other announcer who do the same thing with Tom Brady, and Payton Manning, and besides Madden is a fucking idiot who thinks that every football fan in the world is dumber than him, just listen to Al micheals when he's working with Madden you can tell in his voice that he gets annoyed when he works with Madden, and there have been more than a few times when I've actually hit the mute button just cause I got sick of listening to that fat bloated peice of monkey shit, he does better commentary on food that football, fuck geet him out of the announcers booth and put him on the food network already

Honestly, I usually just have football games on the mute button..I don't know why but its just a habit. I wouldn't doubt it though. I bet it's similar with Dick Vitale and his obsession with the Duke Blue Devils.

Back to Football talk. According to ESPN so far they said Driver just has a foot injury. It would be a huge loss if this is a severly sprained or broke ankle.

Also in other football talk Mike Vick is denying he gambled and killed dogs. I actually think he is full of shit. Either way now though Vick is screwed. His season is done and im sure he will spend about a year in prison and rightfully so if he did that. Sick bastard.

yes last i checked i still live in WI but i come from a family of Bears fans so it runs in the family.

serious question do you think that Favres is messing up Aaron Rodgers development by still playing because what ive seen from Rodgers hes looked really good.

i dont know if this is just how my friend set up his madden game but theres no John Madden commentary in it and i must say its much more fun playing it that way. God Damn is he annoying

That is a very good question but hear is a bertter question do you think that Managment/coaching Staff is messing up Aaron Rodgers developmeant, since they are the ones that keep pushing Favre to come back for "one more year", I would love to see them give Rodgers a little more time on the field, the way I see it is that if the Pack is getting the shit kicked out of them then just pull Favre out and let Rodgers do his thing and get some experiance, they really should be working with Rodgers more right now so when Favre actuelly does retire Rodgers will be able to fit right into the offense with out them changeing everything up, so to basically answer your question yeha Favre may be messin up a bit but it's not entirly on him it's Mangament and Coaches theat make the decisions when Rodgers gets to play

Thats a good point they really should get Rodgers more playing time. I defenitely think that Favre loves the organization so much that im sure he would be willing to give u garbage time so Rodgers can be more game tested. I bet if the organization went to Favre and asked him that, he would be more than willing to do it for the good of the team. Problem is the team revolves around Favre and i dont think the organization would like that idea.

Back to Football talk. According to ESPN so far they said Driver just has a foot injury. It would be a huge loss if this is a severly sprained or broke ankle.

see i predicted them to go 9-7 so this may really hurt there chances of making the playoffs

I'm sorry but some of you guys are being ridiculious.

THE FUCKING 49ERS AJ? THE 49ERS?! The pee-wee league around here has a better chance of making it to the Bowl then the 49ers do, seriously, the 49ers are just so god damn awful it's ridiculious. Yeah they've got Gore who will be great for them and they've got a few good recievers along with a few nice defensive pickups, but overall they are still a terrible team with no QB worth a shit. Sorry to kill your hopes AJ, but the 49ers will be lucky to win 6 games this year.

And the Cowboys? Come on people. Who do they have? Yeah they've got TO...wow....TO has been nothing but crap these last few years. Ever since he left Philly he has been crap, and his attitude will never ever change. And Tony Romo? Yeah he had a pretty solid season last year, good yardage, but look at his TD-Int ratio, it's terrible. I'm sure he'll do good again this year, but unfortunately I just can't see the Cowboys going too far this year, last year just seemed like way to much of a fluke for them.

The teams I'm really excited about are (obviously my home team) the Patriots, the Saints, and a few other teams like the Seahawks and Chargers look promising. Pretty much though this year is just a waiting game for my Pats :D. You all know it, don't deny it, we easily have the best team this year. Amazing QB, solid veteran WRs and a superstar WR in Randy Moss, one of the best defenses in the league, and probably the best coach in the league as well. Alot of people are worried about Randy Moss, but there really is no need to be. Bill Belichick (the coach) will not stand for ANY shit from Moss. The second Moss starts acting like he's god's gift to football again, he's outta there. I guarantee it, Belichick is a hardcore team oriented coach and if anyone is going to try and mess with his clubhouse, he will have them packing as soon as possible, even if its someone like a Randy Moss.

Also, lookout for two things this year in my opinion: One, Drew Brees will be a Pro Bowler this year and have another fantastic season (this guy is just awesome and I really had no interest in the Saints before he arrived) and two look out for Laurence Maroney, the Pats HB this year. Corey Dillon is gone, but this guy is a future superstar, the moves this guy was putting on defenders at training camp last month were ridiculious! He had guys falling over themselves, and this is a defense of real veteran defenders like Junior Seau, Mike Vrabel and Teddy Bruschi.

Anyways, watch out people.

Oh and have you guys heard all this crap talk between Tiki Barber and Eli Manning? Tiki has come off as such a pompous jackass, talking about how Eli is a terrible leader for a team and how he's a joke. Excuse me Tiki Barber, weren't you the one in the middle of the friggin season last year saying you were retiring? Thats not exactly stepping up to the leadership plate there is it? And I'm pretty sure all those 4th Qtr comebacks by the Giants last year had a liiiiitle bit more to do with Eli then you.

BTW, I can't help but just laugh my ass off when you guys said that you hate the Pats cause they're just so dominating.

Remember people, it was only about 7 years ago when the Patriots were known as the jokes of the NFL and a team destined to choke forever like the Red Sox. Its so damn good having been a fan for so long through the highs and lows of the Drew Bledsoe era (we did make it to the Superbowl don't forget before being rocked by those damn Packers) onto the Patriots of nowadays. If you had asked me how many rings the Pats would have by this time 10 years ago, I would've said none.

Ahhhh how times have changed. Next thing you know we'll be talking about the Red Sox like they're the Yankees and the Yankees like they're the Red Sox!

The Jags are getting me worried. The defense is going to be dominate as usual, but its just the offense. The o-line is doing terribly this entire preseason. They're not giving the qb's no time to look for recievers. Good thing we have two really good running backs in Maurice Jones-Drew (who should have won ROY) and Fred Taylor (who is close to 10,000 career rushing yards). If we can just get the passing game to click, we will be a scary team.

John Madden really is obsessed with Bret Favre. Its kinda scary. He also points out the obvious. Last year I was watching the Colts at Giants on Sunday Night Football, and John Madden said, "If they want to score a touchdown, they have to get the ball in the endzone." That is the kind of great commentary you can only hear from John Madden.
