Man, I'd really like to try to defend Batman (despite its flaws that only true Batman fans can point out, like having Joker kill Thomas and Martha instead of Joe Chill...or having Batman flat out kill people...) but I've never seen This is Spinal Tap.

Well, This may be Spinal Tap, but I'm (voting for) Batman. It was the first movie since Superman to be great in the superhero genre, and it blew the world away. Nicholson is perfect (again) in his role, better than Ledger I think. Keaton, an actor I can't usually stand, shines here as the Dark Knight. Vicki Vale makes a perfect damsel in kind of distress. The whole movie just clicks like few others can.

Batman for me here. The original of the first set is by far the best of all the Batmans, and is my favorite Super Hero movie before this decade. Another Nicholson movie as KB said, but there is a reason why he has so many great movies, its because he is a great actor, I can't say enough for the guy. This Is Spinal Tap is a classic for all those Hair Metal Fans out there, but it just can't beat The Bat-a-man.

If The Dark Knight proved one thing it's that Batman isn't a great film. It's good, very intresting. But most importantly, it's not about Batman. It's about The Joker. That's all well and good, but The Joker is just Jack Nicholson as Jack Nicholson in purple.

The poster probably had more of an effect than the film overall.
