Billy Behrens has an excellent article about the TNA roster, and management's failure to make the tough decision and let people go. The truth is that there are TOO many wrestlers on the TNA roster and they need to make cuts to not only save money, but also to free up some spots/TV time.
Here is my list:
1. James Storm - Haven't we seen enough of Storm? The whole Cowboy gimmick is so lame. They've tried a lot of different ideas to get this guy over and none really worked. Unless they are going to do something different with him I say....cut cut cut.
2. Kip James - Came into the company based on his WWE experience and the possibility of teaming up with his old partner BG James. But James and been very uninspired over the last 3 years in TNA. His role has been downplayed to a "Rico-like" assistant. Get rid of him.
3. Lance Rock - a very average worker with a comedy gimmick that isn't over. Nice wrestler but not worth keeping around.
4. So Cal Val - Maybe I'm alone on this - but I don't see a ton of potential in this "knockout."
5. Hector Guerrero - His "Latino Heat" impersonation is lame and actually hurts LAX. Homicide is good on the mic and should be more of a mouthpiece.
6. Johnny Devine - He's been around for years, has had lot of gimicks and and has shown very little. He is actually using that same dumb gimmick where he sets up the video camera...lame. He's been a loyal guy but it's time to get rid of him.
7. Miss Jackie - Old and has used up the recognition that she garned with the WWE. Time to part ways - we'll miss those big boobs.
8. Rhino - There's just not a spot for him anymore. It seems like TNA is always trying to crowbar him into angles etc. He is not a top guy and probably will be mid-card guy for his career so it's not worth it to keep him around
9 and 10. Team 3D (Brother Ray and Devon) - I am not opposed to keeping these two around as agents, trainers or some type of backstage role. But this team has done everything. When's the last time they've really done something creative in TNA? Time to step aside.
