WZ Fantasy Professional Wrestling League
I) General Rules
• Competition within this league shall take place between individuals, and the league shall contain no more than 14 people at a time.
• As this is a pilot program, the league’s initial season shall consist of only four months (from September 2010 to December 2010).
• League participants shall compete one-on-one against each other in biweekly match-ups (thus, each participant shall compete in approximately 8 match-ups). The commissioner of the league will announce the entire match-up schedule prior to the first round.
• Each league participant shall pick 8 wrestlers to compose their fantasy league roster. Prior to match-ups, each participant will pick 6 of these wrestlers to serve as their “team” for the next round/two weeks. Only wrestlers in singles competition are selectable. Wrestlers may be chosen from any of the following promotions: WWE, TNA, ROH, NJPW, NOAH, CMLL, and AAA.
• Participants shall select wrestlers through a draft; the details of this draft will be announced at a later time. After the draft and all throughout the season, participants are permitted to trade wrestlers with one another and to cut wrestlers from their roster in exchange for undrafted wrestlers.
II) Scoring - League participants shall earn points through the victories of the wrestlers that compose their team (no points shall be awarded for roster wrestlers that win matches but are inactive during a match-up). Scoring is as follows:
• For weekly programs (e.g., iMPACT, Raw, and Smackdown!) and house shows (including super shows):
*2 points for a tag-team submission or pinfall victory that comes as
a result of the wrestler’s partner.
*2 points for a count-out or disqualification in either singles or
tag-team competition.
*5 points for a pinfall victory in singles or tag-team competition.
*10 points for a submission victory in singles or tag-team
competition.
• For cable specials (e.g., Saturday Night’s Main Event) and PPVs, scoring shall be doubled.
• For any championship match, should it take place on a weekly program, cable special, or PPV, an additional 6 points shall be awarded to the participant whose team includes the victorious wrestler (should the victorious wrestler be inactive or undrafted, then no extra points shall be awarded); if a participant's team includes the loser of any championship match, then they shall be awarded 3 points.
• For any gimmick match, should it take place on a weekly program, cable special, or PPV, an additional 6 points shall be awarded to the participant whose team includes the victorious wrestler (should the victorious wrestler be inactive or undrafted, then no extra points shall be awarded); if a participant's team includes the loser of any gimmick match, then they shall be awarded 3 points.
