Who I would like to see as the Diva HoF inductee this year?

d_henderson1810

Mid-Card Championship Winner
In fact, I would like to see TWO women inducted into the 2015 class of the WWE HoF.

1) Miss Elizabeth- Now that "Macho Man" is in, how about inducting Elizabeth as well. How cool would it be to have both in the same year?

Miss Elizabeth was much beloved by the WWF crowds at the time, and she complemented "Macho Man" well. She added to the act, and if she wasn't there for Savage to act jealous of and point the finger at (which, by all reports, he did in real life too), then Savage wouldn't have been as much of a heel.

She was elegant and added some class. She didn't wrestle, but had an impact on WWE in the 80's, and she should be inducted with Savage as a "double act".

2) Cyndi Lauper- should be inducted as this year's Celebrity, in the Hof.

Unlike many of the previous participants, Lauper actually had a lot to do to promote WWE. She was on SNME every week, played a big part at WM1, managed Wendi Ritcher, and even promoted WWE mainstream by having Capt Lou in "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", and WWE wrestlers appeared in her clip of "Goonies R Good Enough".

I can't think of another celebrity, yet to be inducted, that has done for WWE than Lauper, so she should go in this year as well.

Do you agree with my choices?

I would love to see my favorite diva of all time.... VICTORIA go into the HOF behind the Lita and Trish Stratus. Victoria and Molly Holly both were in the ring with Lita and Trish and they all took the divas division to the next level. Victoria put in a lot of work to get the divas over like Michelle McCool, Layla, Melina, and etc. She will be a great asset to the WWE Hall of Fame this year!!!!

All three of the previous three are great choices. They should all go in. At first I was thinking hold off on Elizabeth, so that you can spread out star power to other years. Elizabeth is a deserving Hall of Famer in her own right. But when I think about it, it makes sense to put her in. But to be honest, recent career choices aside, Chyna deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. She may not have been as talented as Trish or Lita work wise, but damn was she an important part of the roster. Any of the names so far deserve to be in the HOF.

I completely agree with Miss Elizabeth & Cyndi Lauper but they would actually be my 2nd & 3rd choices respectively. My 1st choice would be Alundra Blayze/Madusa. Beyond her numerous in-ring acheivements & classic moments like dropping the WWF Women's title in the trash on WCW TV, she was actually the first "Diva" to make me really appreciate the talents of a truly good female wrestler. Sure the women can be attractive or good for a bathroom break but you could take Blayze's matches & put them against some great male matches & they could easily hold up or even be better.

Also I think Chyna deserves to make it into the WWE HoF for her groundbreaking work as a female competitor in The Attitude Era but for several obvious reasons like her current porn career & her past relationships, I definitely do not expect to see her on WWE TV anytime soon.

I would have to say Chyna. Last I seen her she was on some VH1 reality show and she was pretty messed up. Im not sure if the WWE has even worked with her since she left but she was the IC champion the first and onlt woman to hold a major title and not only could she wrestle she was a force outside of the ring as a valet.. Miss Elizabeth deserves to be in too but they should save it for another year.. The ironic thing is how would Stephanie feel about these two divas being in the hall of fame seeing as they both were involed with Stephanies last two men lol

Due to disparaging comments regarding HHH etc, and the way she looks now, wouldn't it be easy to say that Chyna likely won't be making it into the hall of fame this year?

Elizabeth is a great choice, especially with Macho Man going in this year as well. I'd love to see it and think it would be the most fitting induction.

I may be wrong but I thought Lauper was already in there? I think it has to be Miss Elizabeth IMO it would suck to see her go in at a different time when it's perfect for her to go in with Macho Man. So yes Miss Elizabeth is my choice and she's the only one I really want to see go this year.

At first I was thinking hold off on Elizabeth, so that you can spread out star power to other years. Elizabeth is a deserving Hall of Famer in her own right. But when I think about it, it makes sense to put her in.

She belongs in the HOF, yet I can see why it's a tough decision whether to put her in at the same time as Macho Man. On the one hand, she wasn't a wrestler and standards are different for someone who isn't. Plus, the fact that she and Savage eventually divorced makes the idea of putting them in together a bit dicey.

Still, she's a vital part of what made him successful; the whole "Beauty and the Beast" scenario ran through everything they did together. The fact they were married while in WWE is what should be considered when talking about the WWE HOF, no?

In addition, while much of what he did worked better because of her, the converse is also true; had it not been for Randy, we never would have heard of Liz.

Put her in this year. Hopefully, Leapin' Lanny Poffo will be a part of the induction.....he was Liz's brother-in-law and could acknowledge both of 'em at the same time.

Obviously I would like to see Victoria/Tara get an induction to the WWE Hall of Fame, she's definitely worthy of a spot. However, an induction would likely mean she was totally retired so I don't want that to be the case, so I say leave her induction for another year :)

With Macho Man going into the HOF this year, it would seem lfgical for Miss Elizabeth to also be inducted this year as well, as she was such a big part of Savage's career, and shared many memorable moments on screen with him. I know they ended up divorcing in real life, but iy would be a lovely moment for the fans for Liz to go in too, she'll go in eventually so why not at the same time as Macho Man.

Chyna would also be a valid candidate for the HOF, but with her past relationship with Triple H and current career choice...not to mention her mountain of personal problems, I highly doubt we'll ever see Joanie Laurer in the WWE HOF.

While I guess Miss Elizabeth MIGHT be considered a Diva, I agree that it'd seem fitting for her to go into the HOF.

Of all the various celebrities who've been part of memorable angles & storylines, Cyndi Lauper is genuinely deserving of a spot in the HOF. She was a very visual part of the Rock n' Wrestling era, she played a significant role at the first WrestleMania and the build for WrestleMania. Plus, she was involved with it during the peak commercial years of her career. During the mid 80s, Cyndi Lauper was the biggest star in American pop music. To be totally honest, now that I think on it, I think they should've inducted her the same year they inducted Wendi Richter. She was a big part of Wendi's career in WWE during the mid 80s. At any rate, I'd have no problem with her going in.

With the exception of Victoria, there aren't really very many women left in WWE history who've made a big splash in terms of actually being a talented wrestler. Madusa, AKA Alundra Blayze, is another one of the very few. While the women's division wasn't very prominent in WWE during the early to mid 90s, it was stronger in terms of wrestling quality and content. Plus, she was a big name in the AWA prior to all that. She was a 3 time WWE Women's Champion, 1 time AWA World Women's Champion and a 2 time IWA World Women's Champion. Of course, she's probably best known for showing up on Nitro with the Women's Championship and dumping in the trash. She's a good example of why WWE initiated a 90 day no compete clause into their contracts. But, I don't see her getting inducted anytime soon because we all know how legendary Vince is for holding onto grudges.

Chyna would seem like an obvious choice, but the simple fact of the matter is that she's pretty much a human sideshow at this point. She's had a problem with drugs & booze, she's been regular fodder for tabloids off & on for the past decade or so, plus she's gotten involved fully in the porn business. I read a while back that she played She-Hulk in an XXX Parody of The Avengers and later on in an XXX She-Hulk spin off. Plus, as has already been mentioned, it'd be flat out awkward as hell given her past relationship with Triple H.

I have 2 picks.

The first would have to be Ms. Elizabeth, which would be perfect since Macho Man is going in & she is well deserving of the honor. I really hate that neither are here any more to be able to accept the award.

The other well deserved Diva has to be Madusa/Alundra Blayze. She's one of the greatest female wrestlers and was always one of my favorites.

Maybe you didn't see her appearance in TNA, but Chyna looks pretty good nowadays and she's sober.

I agree with both your choices, Miss Elizabeth makes sense to induct her this year along with Randy Savage and I don't like the celebrity wrestling hall of fame but I would say Cyndi Lauper is more deserving of an induction than any of the current celebrities already in there, It would be hard to imagine the whole rock n wrestling era without her I think she should go in at some point if not this year, Other females could be Madusa Miceli, Lita, Ivory, Molly Holly, Chyna, Mildred Burke, Penny Banner, June Byers, Ida Mae Martinez and Judy Grable in my opinion all deserving

As deserving as Elizabeth is, not likely this year. Two inductees post-mortem isn't the typical feel good programming they shoot for. But yes, she should get in sooner than later.

I think there are a few ladies who I would like to see in:
Rena Lesnar (Sable)- I couldn't stand her but there's no denying that she was the hottest thing in the company for a time or two
Victoria- She was one of the first girls to go through developmental (if not the first) and put together one hell of a career, even if a chunk of it was in TNA.
Francine- It's not likely that they would put an ECW valet in but if they are gonna start with someone what a great way to go.

Now it's a damn shame that no-one's mentioned Luna Vachon yet..Though she wrestled on and off for a few decades, she's always been underrated....Luna proved she could wrestle against men and beat them, she had a of a kind character, good move-set, memorable promos, etc

The Vachon family deserves more recognition.

When ya think about it, Luna should've been at least a 2 time WWF Women's Champion by now..

If Luna would've stayed in ECW for the long-term she could've been the first ever ECW Women's Champion(assuming Heyman would've went with that idea) That would've been interesting to have seen Luna defending the ECW Women's Championship in a barbed wire match.

I've only been watching since the late 90's so that obviously influenced my opinion.
My money is on Sable. No doubt she made WWE alot of money and was insanely popular.
She'll probably be in the area to be with her husband anyways, so it makes sense.

I don't think Chyna or Alundra Blayze will go into the HoF anytime soon.

I am not disputing whether they deserve to be in or not, nor their contribution to the WWE.

I feel that Chyna will not go in, in the short term, for a number of reasons. Mainly, because Stephanie McMahon wouldn't allow it.

My opinion is, that Stephanie is the true leader of the Authority. Triple H does what he is told in the marriage, as a lot of guys do, but also Steph holds all the cards. Piss her off, and Tripper may find himself on the wrong end of divorce papers, and his legacy and future ownership of WWE down the toilet.

As a result, Chyna, Triple H's ex-girlfriend, who Steph stole him off, won't be put in, since it means that Chyna and Steph have to be in the same room together.

Also, Chyna leaving WWE on bad terms, (based on the Stephanie thing, as well as other reasons), plus the fact she did a sex tape and some porn, which wouldn't look good for WWE to promote an "adult movie star" .

Alundra Blayze won't get in over the "dumping the WWE Women's Title in the garbage bin on WCW Nitro" incident. Vince carries a grudge like nobody, and has reportedly never forgiven Alundra Blayze for this.

Elizabeth, on the other hand, left WWE on reasonably good terms, and most of Vince's anger was aimed at Savage, and now that Savage is inducted, any "guilt by association" issues are not a problem.

This is why I think HoF induction should be decided by a panel of experts, made up of Legends, wrestling journos, movers and shakers of the industry, and Vince should be on that panel, but he is just one vote. This way, you get a few people deciding HoF worthiness, rather than Vince basing it on who he likes and who he doesn't.

So, I can see politics keeping both Chyna and Alundra Blayze out. Good suggestions, but I can't see it happening.

Elizabeth - The first "diva" before the term was even used. She does deserve to be in there, even if she never had an actual match.

Chyna - deserves to be included at some point for obvious reasons. For equally obvious other reasons, it won't be any time soon.

Debra Miceli - Excellent female wrestler with a good long history in the business. The primary factor against would be how much of a grudge does Vince still hold over the garbage can incident.

Luna Vachon - Really should be included. She had a decent run, was a unique character, and stayed rather loyal to the business.

Rena "Sable" Lesnar - Is it pandering to induct the wife of the current WWE champion? Is it prejudicial to keep her out this year if the only block is her marriage? Yes, she was a prominent early diva, taking the attention from Tammy "Sunny" Sytch.

Finally, here's a name that I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned yet... Vickie Guerrero. She has been part of the WWE for years, going from "wrestler's wife" to become a memorable character in her own right. Still not in the WWE HoF? EXCUSE ME?!?
