Unscripted 2014
General Facts
- This is the sixth rendition of the PPV, with the first being WZCW's first ever PPV, airing back in 2007.
- While Kingdom Come has a tendency to win the Best PPV of the year at the awards, Unscripted is the only non-KC PPV to win the award in 2010.
- Joseph Rios was crowned the first WZCW World Heavyweight Champion at the inaugural event.
- The second Unscripted was the only one to feature a five-sided ring.
World Title Match
- A new World Heavyweight Champion was crowned at every Unscripted, until last year. Showtime Cougar broke the trend when he retained the title during his second reign as champion.
- This is the fourth successive year in which the title has been defended in a Fatal Fourway Hell in a Cell Match.
- Barbosa is the only competitor in this match who's been in the Cell prior to this contest. He is also undefeated at this PPV having picked up victories over SHIT & Wasabi Toyota.
- Saboteur has the reverse of being 0-2 at this PPV. He lost the Tag Titles at Unscripted #5 to Strikeforce, and missed out on a title opportunity losing to Gordito the year before.
- This is Vega's second Unscripted and the first in which he's challenging for a title. He defended the Mayhem Championship a year ago, defeating Ricky Runn, who he's challenging against in the Cell.
- Ricky Runn better hope luck comes in threes as this is his third Unscripted title match. His first saw him lose the Tag Titles to Mind Over Matters, the second saw him fail to defeat Vega for the Mayhem Title.
Titus vs. Showtime
- Both competitors made their PPV debuts at Unscripted. Titus is the only competitor to appear at all six Unscripted PPVs.
- This is only the second time a Pure Rules Match has appeared in WZCW. The first appearance was at Kingdom Come II when Titus defeated Everest for World Heavyweight Championship.
- Titus has a 1-3 win/loss record at Unscripted. All his previous matches have either been for a title or a contract-based stipulation. He also hasn't won on PPV in 2014 prior to Unscripted.
- Showtime is also 1-3 at Unscripted, having got a victory at last year's event. Until this year, Showtime had featured in some form of a title match at every Unscripted he's appeared at.
- This could be the most decorated match in WZCW History, with a combined total of 10 Championships (5 World, 2 Elite X, 1 EurAsian, 1 Tag, 1 Mayhem) between both competitors, not to mention both men are previous Lethal Lottery winners.
EurAsian Title Match
- This is the second time at Unscripted where a EurAsian Championship Match has had a stipulation of an individual being fired from the company.
- With both Howard and Stormrage being a victorious team at the previous Unscripted, the winner of this match will 2-0 at this event.
- The EurAsian Title has never changed hands at this PPV event with Big Dave, Blade and Rush successfully defending the belt at the three previous Unscripted events.
Blade vs. Triple X
- Blade hasn't had an official win at this PPV, having lost to Phoenix and defended the EurAsian Title to a 'no decision' against Black Dragon.
- Triple X hasn't had success at this PPV either, losing to Sam Smith; so this match will see both men getting their first official victory at this event.
Elite X Title Match
- On only one occasion has the Elite X title changed hand at Unscripted.
- Fallout's Unscripted Debut
- Despite winning at his first Unscripted, Matt Tastic has lost at his last two Unscripted appearances under both of his monikers.
- This is also Matt Tastic's third different title match at Unscripted, having defended the Mayhem Title and challenged for the EurAsian Title.
Drake Callahan vs. The Beard or Dr. Zeus
- If selected, this will be The Beard's second Unscripted match. This is also his first match since winning the KFAD.
- If Dr. Zeus is selected, this will be first Unscripted match.
- Despite appearing at the second Unscripted, this is only Callahan's third appearance at this PPV. He has a 1-1 record at this event, both those matches were title matches; the most recent was a losing effort at the World Heavyweight Championship
Tag Team Title Match
- New Tag Team Champions have been crowned every time Unscripted has featured the titles being defended.
- If selected, this will be the first ever Lucha Rules Tag Team Match in WZCW History.
- 59% of the previous Tag Team Champions have failed on to successfully defend their titles on the first attempt. If LMD lose, then they will join that statistic.
Grizzly Bob vs. Diabolos
- First Unscripted appearance for both men, and the last for one of them.
- There are eight species of bears.
- The largest of all bear species is the brown bear.
- The koala is not a bear, it is a marsupial.
- Polar bears are the most skilled swimmers of all bear species.
