I have just posted in Cena vs Jake and could basically post the same here - Bruno was a main event stalwart who drew and wrestled for a very long time whilst Hennig was a solid, popular wrestler that never reached the top echelon. You need guys like Hennig in your roster, but without a guy like Sammartino, you'll never be a big time promotion.

Exactly right Tasty. I'd rate Hennig higher than Roberts, as he is a guy who could have been WWE Champion and probably deserved to be at some point, but he only ever reached upper mid-card status in his time in WWE, unlike Bruno who is one of the icons of the sport and held the gold for years at a time.

Sammartino's role is key in WWE history, while if you look back at history Hennig will be remembered as a very talented in-ring performer but one who didn't trouble the main event.

I respect the hell out of Bruno Sammartino. He was a massive draw for many years, and there's probably no one in the history of pro wrestling who has had more integrity and honor than him.

But I'm going to play the favorite card here and vote for Curt Hennig.

Curt was just so fucking good at everything he did. Tremendous in the ring, on the mic, charisma out of this World. as tough as they came... he was just a perfect pro wrestler.

Bruno's stuff on the other hand just isn't my cup of tea. I don't find hardly any of his work entertaining, and while I would vote for him over most wrestlers from his era and before it, I can't force myself to vote for him against an 80's/90's talent like Mr. Perfect, Curt Henning.

Curt is one of those guys I wish I could have followed properly. I have fond memories of those, yes THOSE, vignettes of his. His music is one of the best in the history of time. And man was he, haha, perfect.

But Bruno would beat him in an unbelievably good match. They would probably shake hands later and I would applaud from my couch.
