Should the ECW title count as a legit world title?

It's a world title by name. But you wouldn't get WWE promoting a match involving Orton or Batista as the first match on a PPV. Not unless they had multiple matches throughout the night. The ECW is above the tag titles, on par with the IC title, below the US title.

And the last thing ECW & WWE needs is another title, let alone the Hardcore one.

Tbh,

vince wouldve been way better off doing this right after ECW ONS 2006...

RVD as ECW and WWE Champion... on the newly resurrected ECW, except instead of it being a 3rd brand... it is a total stand-alone promotion run mostly by Paul Heyman. Have very few cross-references to the WWE shows, and let the show go on as if WWE didn't exist.

Have metal fencing in a small and cramped arena, with the classic 'grunge' ECW arena look with the brickwall stage entrance and things like weapons and crap littered across the stage to look like a 'hardcore zone'.

Plus, make every match extreme rules as a bare minimum, get a biggish roster, draw talent from OVW and try to recruit past extreme icons... then introduce the ECW Television and Tag Team titles.

and... of course, to be realistic... it should have its own PPV every two months or so based off the original ECW's PPVs like Barely Legal, November to Remember, Cyberslam, Hardcore Heaven, December to Dismember, One Night Stand.... etc.. and only join in on the WWE PPV action for the 'big 4 PPVs'

^that would be an ideal new ECW IMO...

ideal mayb but would never happen because it would just fold again, granite i would love to see the original back but the fans as superior as they were werent enough to keep the promotion alive, WWECW cant even stay afloat without smackdown stars on it every week, the ECW title should be a legit world title and as far as the second tier championship on ECW i say bring the cruiserweight title into ECW bc it isnt even on the smackdown roster right now
