Kingdom Come IX said:Mikey grabs Keaton and plants him with a spinning Samoan Drop that almost breaks the ring. Mikey feels the moment in his bones and begins pulling himself up to a vertical base. He looks down at Keaton breathlessly and tells the crowd that this match is over. But instead of pulling Keaton to his feet and nailing him with the GAME OVER, Mikey begins going up to the top rope. The fans cannot believe what they are seeing as the heavyweight makes his way to the top rope and then turns around to face them. There is a tension in the air as Mikey towers over his opponent facing the other way. Suddenly, like a blue whale making itself known above the crest of a wave, Mikey launches himself off of the top and lands the most majestic and stunning moonsault that you have ever seen. The ring shakes with the impact of the move. The referee counts the fall! 1... 2... 3! It's all over! Live Mas have done it!
Harrys: Here are your winners, the team of Matt Tastic is Mikey Stormrage... LIVE MAS!!
Copeland: I don't believe it but I knew that they could do it! What a fantastic match to open up Kingdom Come in Barcelona tonight.
Connor: Absolutely, Seabass. I don't like the way they went about it but Mark Keaton and Triple X pushed Live Mas all the way tonight. Live Mas have teamed for years and could have went down swinging against a young and hungry team. However, at the end of the day, Live Mas showed their resilience and heart in the most special way. For those who have questioned whether Live Mas should still be competing at the highest level, there is your answer. Stunning stuff.
WZCW.com said:Rumors have been circulating since the pre-Kingdom Come festivities, and confirmation finally came just a few hours ago.
WZCW Hall of Famers Matt Tastic and Mikey Stormrage, also known as Live Mas, have confirmed in an interview with a Puerto Rican radio station that they have indeed recently purchased a former warehouse and are working day and night with local crews to convert the facility into a proper wrestling academy.
"It really is just an opportunity to help the next generation. We have accomplished so much, we figure this is just the next step in our careers." Tastic said.
"Matt and I have been fortunate. We have enjoyed highly successful careers in this business. Our legacy is already solid, but we feel it could be so much more." Stormrage added, making sure to tap his Hall of Fame ring on the mic to show off.
The two have kept details scarce, not even giving the name of the school. They only confirmed that it will indeed be located in Tastic's native Puerto Rico, and that they held open tryouts just days before the interview to accept their first batch of recruits.
Tastic stated "We are excited. We have a crop of talent already enrolled that are eager to get to work and Mikey and I are eager to instill our knowledge."
"Matt and I feel like we each have our unique in ring style. Matt is more flashy and technical. He really gets down to business in the ring. I like to throw my weight around and hit power moves, but I also like to have fun. We each have a lot to offer these guys and gals." Stormrage added.
The two did promise an all access interview to WZCW cameras once the school is fully up and ready, but did mention that they already have two full size rings and various workout equipment installed.
"We plan to bring in the best trainers. Not only from the wrestling world, but all sports. We already have a two day class scheduled with the strength and conditioning coaches for the Puerto Rican baseball team. We are in contact with some Indian yoga gurus for a seminar. We plan on getting some trampolines and foam pits to help guys with some flippies. We have two rooms for film study being installed. We have two acting coaches who will be coming in three or four times a week to help the students with their mic work, a very underrated aspect of what we do. We even have a cafeteria with a nutritionist and a head chef who studied under Jose Enrique. We want the students to have the best. We even worked out a deal with a local apartment complex to give the students a place to live at a reduced cost. We want them to be comfortable and be able to access the facility without hassle." Stormrage did refuse to answer if Taco Tuesday would be a thing, but he did smile.
When asked if the duo would be incorporating some of Grandpa Tastic's unorthodox training methods, Tastic simply laughed and said "There may be a few chickens hanging around the facility."
The twenty thousand square foot facility reportedly cost the duo in excess of one point two million, but neither commented on the cost, with Tastic saying only "You can't put a price on securing the future of this business."
While an official class roster will likely never be released, there are conformed reports that the tryouts included students from all walks of life, including former collegiate athletes, martial artists, armed forces members, independent mainstays, and even a few former WZCW employees.
"Oh yeah, we totally had Derek Jacobs show up. We told him we already filled the janitorial staff." Tastic joked while the DJ confirmed Stormrage was not happy.
Matt: .well fuck. Shit, I had this plan to tape some wacky hijinks at our new school. But I cant have Mikey featured on this piece. It might help him win. But I wanna win. Dammit. Now what?WZCW has announced that at Meltdown 152 Matt Tastic, Mikey Stormrage, Kagura & King Mussel will face each other in a Fatal Fourway match that will determine the next #1 Contender and first challenger for the new WZCW World Heavyweight Champion Tyrone Blades at our newly named Pay-Per-View event 'R-Awakening'.
A lot of people have been doubting Kagura recently. Why, because she lost one match at Kingdom Come? If anything she did Garth Black a favor. He hasnt been relevant in this company since Apocalypse of last year, where he failed to capture the world title. Management put him up against Kagura, because shes a main event level superstar, and a former world champion. Garth Black should be thanking her for going easy on him, because now he has an easy ticket to the main event. You see, Kagura is a benevolent competitor. She finds it boring fighting the same people over, and over again. Should Kagura win the Fatal Four-way on Meltdown 152, and become the number one contender; and say she defeats Tyrone Blades down the road, and becomes champion again, a rematch with Garth Black would be big money, wouldnt you say?
Three men stand in Kaguras way tonight. Flex Mussel, Matt Tastic, and Mikey Stormrage. Lets be honest, neither member of Live Mas deserves this opportunity. Stormrage just returned from a long absence, and Tastic hasnt been a force to be reckoned with since Unscripted. I could list their accomplishments, and all of their accolades. Plus the fact that both of these men are WZCW Hall of Fame inductees. But none of that matters in this match. Kagura has more drive, and more passion to be world champion than both of these men. While shes been training her butt off every single day, these two have just opened a wrestling school. They dont care about the chase, or the title. For both, its just another thing to pad their resumes with. For her, its more than just a title. And the being world champion is more than just a position. Because shes not fighting to prove her worth to the fans or her competitors; shed already done that. Shes fighting to prove her worth to herself.
Flex Mussels an interesting case. Hes got the same hunger and desire to reach the top that Kagura does, except that his methods are far more destructive. His arrogance and pride have driven him insane, to the point where he obsesses over things. Have you seen some of the things hes been tweeting out recently, against minorities and foreigners? Kagura knows, because shes been a target of his. Im sure Matt does too. However, Flex being a despicable coward doesnt matter here? If he wins, then what? He beats Tyrone Blades? Not happening. Flex had the chance to do that at AS 128, and he failed. Of all the competitors in the that Fatal Four-way, Kagura is the only one that has beaten the current world champion. Shes the only one that might get Blades to sweat. And shes the only one that doesnt see him as an obstacle, or as a stepping stone. To her, hes a rival that she respects. Fights on top of the mountain can be fun, if you have the right opponent.
