Heat- Is it possible for...

Derek Fisher to go to the heat? Sources are saying that the Heat now want Derek Fisher, one of the players who has the most wins under one coach (Phil Jackson) and the 2009 NBA Finals Champion. After the success and potentially record breaking win record with one coach, do you think that Derek Fisher will go to the Heat?

No way in hell will he go. Derek Fisher a very solid player in his own right would be valuable to anyones team, especially because of his Basketball IQ, however Fisher moved to LA for his daughter as she was extremely ill. Plus he is getting his minutes and is co captain of the Lakers. He is a very loyal guy as well and the Lakers just have as much chance if not more to win the Title.

Fisher wouldn't exactly fit as well in Miami anyways. He isn't as quick and would let to many quick point guards into Miamis somewhat weak 4 and 5 positions. He is in the Lakers because he is smart and knows what to do in every situation. However he would barely have the ball with Wade and Bron on the team, and then it would be sent into the post. Also Miamis Offense wouldn't fit into Fishers game.

No way Fisher leaves. If he was 5 years younger, didn't have the issues with his daughter's illness then maybe. But as Pippen said, he just doesn't fit their type of offense and he doesn't exactly have youth and speed on his side. And I seriously doubt the Lakers would let him leave. They still have the best team in the NBA. And with the addition of Blake, they have gotten better. So I can't see Fisher leaving the Lakers.

Things are set up perfectly for him in LA. He's not asked to do too much, but be a leader and occasionally make shots when he's called to do it. But overall everything is right for him there and with a real chance at winning his 6th ring and 3rd straight for a 2nd time, there's no reason to leave.

And oh yea one other thing...Kobe says he's not leaving so that pretty much renders this topic moot. :)
