Charlie Sheen Is HIV Positive

Well, Hollywood's favorite train wreck has been making headlines again and the title of the thread pretty much says it all. As of yesterday, Charlie Sheen has publicly announced that he's HIV positive and actually has been since 2011. During this time, Sheen has stated that he's paid in excess of $10 million in extortion money to keep his HIV status secret and other sources claim that, since 2011, Sheen has had some 200 different sexual partners and was upfront about his HIV status with all of them. He's had his condition under control via a cocktail of antiretroviral drugs and his virus count is said to be extremely low, meaning that there's far less of a chance of him spreading HIV through unprotected sex.

Now, the fact that he's HIV positive comes as no surprise to me given that Sheen has indulged in a wild lifestyle since he was in his teens ranging from rampant drug use to sexual relationships with strippers, pornographic actresses and high priced call girls. I may be wrong, I don't know the man nor have I been the proverbial fly on the wall, but IF he's been with some 200 women since 2011, I have a lot of trouble believing he's been up front about his HIV status; he's a big star and has been for a long time, so it strains credulity, in my eyes at least, that at least one woman out of these alleged 200+ sexual partners hasn't said something to a friend who said something to another friend who maybe posted something on social media or sold the story to a tabloid or something. I also find it difficult to believe that so many women would willingly risk being infected with an incurable disease just to get it on with someone no matter how famous said someone might be; even if there are some of them who're whacked out enough to do so, the odds of all of them being willing strikes me as virtually impossible. With or without a condom, even with a very low viral count, the only guaranteed way to prevent the spreading of HIV through sexual contact is to abstain from sexual contact with others.

Sheen has also, possibly, opened the floodgates to being sued if any of the women he's been with, however many of them there are, have contracted HIV through being with him. Let's say he hasn't been totally up front about his HIV status, even if it's just with one of these women, then it could be a slam dunk civil suit or, depending upon how ambitious someone in the district attorney's office is, even criminal litigation. I mean, if the man has had unprotected sex during this time period knowing he's HIV positive but his partner doesn't, I don't see how that's not a criminal act. If you inject someone with a syringe full of anthrax, it's attempted murder, so why should this be any different just because the syringe in this case happens to be a penis.

This gets even worse, because a number of women he was with during the trainwreck fall from grace were pornstars, and there's been at least 3, but maybe as many as 6 or 7, stoppages in the valley. If a major company finds out that this all started because one of their starlets was banging a has-been, they'll crucify him.

As for none of the ladies talking, and it eventually leaking, I'm sure a large amount of the "hush money" he has paid, has been to get contracts together to make sure these women legally can't say anything.

Yeah I can understand we want to support our children but, he's been HIV for years now and kept it quiet while still having sex with people, his dad could've come out and said "I support my son through everything he's going through" but, no, he's "extremely proud" of Charlie playing Russian Roulette with other peoples lives, supposedly, without their consent.

Mind you he was a raging alcoholic who was hardly the best role model for his kids so, perhaps he feels that misguidedly giving his son unquestioning support is the way to go.

As for Charlie, if it is true that not everyone he slept with knew about his disease (and I'm confident that is the case) then he belongs in prison for the rest of his life as that is just about as low as you can go.

When you have a guy like Charlie Sheen -- who's so fucked up that he set the bar of a normal mid-life crisis somewhere outside the margins of the known universe -- running around screwing porn stars, it's probably time to call up the CDC and find out exactly what's been swimming around in his toxic crotch for the sake of the porn industry.

I really don't like gloaters. They usually don't weigh every factor involved with their circumstance, and they tend binge on shit sandwiches when easily predictable consequences destroy their fun.

Charlie Sheen made "Duh! WINNING!" into a rallying cry for douche-bags across the country. He did so to explain what he had been doing since losing his job where he was getting paid somewhere around $750,000 per episode of play himself on Two and a Half Men. Losing that gig was apparently deliberate, which for my perspective means that by losing on purpose he somehow turned that into a win.

I honestly can't think of a single acting role that I ever liked of his. Ferris Bueler's day off looked really stupid to me, call me a dweeb but I was hoping for the entire movie that Cameron would rip Ferris' head off, Charlie Sheen may as well have not even been in the movie for my money. Wall Street was neat, but in my opinion his dad was that entire film.

I don't wish HIV on anyone, but I don't feel that bad for someone who laughed in the face of dire consequences while giving a middle finger to probability. I take thousands of precautions throughout my day just to make sure that I won't be uncomfortable tomorrow, not having sex with a ridiculous amount of unique partners shouldn't be looked at as a bad thing by anyone with a shred of common sense. Not having an STD seems like it's a hell of a lot more fun than using money and power to get 200 women to be my cuddle buddies with benefits.

I feel a little bad for him because it's HIV, but hopefully his example will teach the rest of us to behave ourselves and indulge in moderation within the bounds of common sense.

Not likely, pornstars nowadays have regular checkups. You are more likely to get some disease from your girlfriend then from the pornstar these days.

As from Charlie, he is an epic idiot. Feel bad for him but it is his fault because of the life he leaded for decades.

I'm not saying that the pornstars would be spreading it, or that he got it from them. But, he clearly got it from somewhere, and during the whole shitstorm that was encircling him, he was banging pornstars regularly. There's no proof that he spread it to them, and caused any of the work stoppages, but it is certainly plausible.

When I heard the news, I was little sad for him but I wasn't surprised. The guy was living the lifestyle and while I wouldn't wish this on any one, he was living a risky lifestyle.

Hopefully he'll slow down and keep up with doctor's orders and he still lead a productive life.
